Best God Man Poems

Devilution

Before there was a thing called "Man"

The Maker had a better plan.

He filled he sea with little fish

Of every kind that He might wish.

Then He made the dinosaur

To rule the land from shore to shore.

Next came the monks, orang-otan.

Gorillas, and an ape called "Man".

Man is half God, and beast one half.

He writes his own grim epitaph.

The Maker thinks, "Next time the plants?

Not yet, until I've tried the ants".

Premium Member Writing with the Master

Like the strokes of an artist’s brush
Painting a self-portrait of my life
The colors are people, events, and experiences
Each stroke flows into the next creating the picture

A step back is needed at times
To observe the full scope of life
To include the essence of my being
Expressing all aspects as one

Without the help of the master creator
I cannot finish this work completely
Knowing not how I will fully evolve
In faith I place my brush into His hand

The Bucket

I had a little bucket;
I took it with me everywhere.
It held the things I needed;
So I guarded it with care.

That I had a little bucket,
Is more important than it seems,
For it held all my ambitions;
And all my hopes and dreams.

I put in a bit of courage;
Though I haven't very much,
And some faith and perseverance.
Some love, and joy and such.

I went about my business;
Trusting in the meager store
Which I carried in my bucket,
I did not ask for more.

Then there came a dark foreboding,
Oh, it was a bitter cup,
When I reached into my bucket,
And found I'd used the contents up.

I no longer have a bucket,
For I do the best I can
Not to trust my own devices;
But to trust my God and fellow man.

For we can not see tomorrow;
But we trust what we can't see,
I do not need a bucket;
I have found the hidden key.

Premium Member Some Thoughts On Women

And I say:

Women are like wounds, healing
naturally in tune with a higher calling

Why we deviate? Devilishness of man
unbalanced without our hands

Women sensed this longing in men is for love
for God is love. A touch of rain and summer breeze.

Premium Member Ode to Sir Paul Reeves v2

What a magnificent servant you were,
serving God and man in plight,
Nothing but your quiet demeanor to disarm
the most cantankerous and disagreeable alike.

You served the church, a beacon in the storm,
Your gentle voice is a balm to every soul.
You served the public, a master of your art,
Your legacy is a garden where compassion grows.

You lived to serve and thought nothing of it

Now your bright spark has vanquished, and only a memory remains of you,
Recalling what you have done has destined you to fame.

We who remain are lessened by our absence. Salute you and your deeds,
We take heed of your lessons.

So farewell, dear friend, and think of us fondly,
As you reside in your heavenly abode,
While we below something to fill the hole in our hearts.
You have left behind your spirit, which will forever guide us.

God Is Bae

Man is hate
Man is discontent
Man is ****
Man is malevolent
Man is ****
Man is death
Man is fear
Man is pain
Man is wrath
What kind of man do you want to be as asked by God?
The man answered. I do not want to be a man
God answered
You are neither
You can be a God
But first you must learn to be a MAN.

Alliance

When God forged Man,

He made an angle for every clan.

He didn't vacate him solitary,

But created his soul and core benefactor.

This is nature's irony,

Two souls tied concurrently in destiny.

Then why is it so arduous for every essence?

To live in conformity without any hue and impasse.

When Our divine amasses to be together,

Then why humans fail to discern his perception.

There is great strength in unity,

When will all deceivers yearn and perceive?

A message to all you couples bonded by society,

Hurl off the ego, vanish the animosity,

The cart of marriage will move only by parity and unity.

It's heartbreaking to see so many divorces in this so-called modern world. A poem to all pairs made from heaven consummated on earth.

Two Think and Two Feel

20 Dec 2018 8:20 PM

How can I think what you feel
How can you feel what I think

As a man I think more than I can feel
As a woman you feel more than you can think

It is the way of God to keep man and woman
It takes them both working together to understand

A man needs a woman so he can feel and be alive
A woman needs a man to think and to thrive

Yes each can do both on their own if they wish
But together they complete the circle and it is life they accomplish

We each have our talents and each our roles
And when put together we both reach our goals

Defending Green Snake

It wasn’t a green snake
That tried God’s enterprise to foil
Nor one of greenish make
That had man pushed into piteous toil.

The sun-loving green wouldn’t anything spoil,
As often it’s thinking of how to funnily coil,
This presuming to playfully act out on your very soil
While your odd animosities you oil
And not once, not twice, unnecessarily boil.

What Today Brings

I opened my eyes to see the sunrise,
it was magnificent.
i opened my mind to see the world come alive,
it was silent .
life is going fine,
but I am in search of divine.
I want to take a leap,
I want my hardwork to reap,
My dreams are dense and deep.
i want to move ahead,
i want to strive hard and work till I am dead.
I want my dreams to come alive,
I want to do something great in my life.
I ain't no God,
I ain't no man,
I am just a poet with a pen in my hand.

Light In the Darkness

Light in the Darkness

        We poor deluded creatures
             Know not what we are.
We struggle our whole lives against the grain.
        The spark ignites,
But who will fan the flame?

For who can know we breathe the breath of God?
         The Grand Designer
              Gathered up the clay,
To form us on the day we all began.

Glad Angels watched Him craft our fragile form.
Little understanding how much we'd cost.
He set us in the garden on our feet,
God breathed, eternal and his own.

Yet looked across the eons waiting there,
Life born from death upon a rugged cross.

A book with no words

28 June 2024 5:55 Pm

A book with no words, no pictures to see
Is a life not shared for others to read

Solitude is good for the soul
But the heart mind and spirit needs people to hold

We were not made a singularity
But one of many of humanity

To live not just exist
To learn not just persist

We need love and acknowlegement
To know that our lives have been well spent

The more we love our fellow man
The more our Father we understand

He sent His Son of redeeming grace
On deaths tree He took our place

No greater love has a man
than to lay down his life for a friend

Just as Yeshua did for us all
We must stand and answer the call

We must not hide or run away
But on love we stand and stay

To give is to gain
To hoard is to loose in vain

My Heart's Desire

That thou art my heart's desire,
As I seek to transcend pain.
Human vessels strive for godhood.
Yet I realize I am not grand,
As I survey the terrain in view,
I lose sight of what I can do,
Faith is small.
And footsteps fail.
I grow weak.
And to I reach out my trembling hand.
