My Heart's Desire

That thou art my heart's desire,
As I seek to transcend pain.
Human vessels strive for godhood.
Yet I realize I am not grand,
As I survey the terrain in view,
I lose sight of what I can do,
Faith is small.
And footsteps fail.
I grow weak.
And to I reach out my trembling hand.
