As I wake up to the dawn of another day
I wrestle with myself and ask why bother
Just another day, without any warmth
There is a chill in my heart, sadly this is true

The coffee pot sings, an attempt to lift spirits
I confess I welcome even this small endeavor
A machine trying to cheer me up,
In this a cold cold cold world

How can this be?
Me so thirsty and cold?
I hypnotically prepare for another day
As I curse Al Gore

I see you all scurry from here to god knows where
Curious I ponder what’s the rush?
Snow falls from a dreary sky
A blanket of white to chill us even more

A child romps happily in springtime meadows
Chasing butterflies and dreams
His heart now filled with Vodka Ice
How did such warmth turn into an ancient glacier?

In the subway deep underground
I see a stranger, a woman, tears falling
Icicles form under her eyes
She too has a frozen heart

I would hug her, with words of comfort
If not for the invisible cold barrier between us
We are many on this subway of desire
So close, yet we all feel the northern winds of loneliness

This world of love and compassion has become frozen
We have forgotten the season of spring
We have been frozen out of emotions garden
We shiver here in the cold together alone

I rise up from the subways depths
I know my heart was murdered by the arctic winds
Something inside of me , cries
Go Go Go melt something, anything

I pass the newsstand selling flowers
I buy one single rose
The woman with icicle tears is nearby
I hand her this rose

I whisper, what this planet needs
Is some global warming
She smiles a sad thank you
As I walk away, hoping

Global warming takes hold

BECAUSE

You opened up my eyes,
They turned towards the skies,
Clouds higher than I’d ever seen
The grass so green.
BECAUSE,
You opened up my eyes
You offered me first prize,
To see the stars at night
Showering us with light,
BECAUSE,
You opened up my eyes,
Let out depressed sad sighs
To see icebergs melting,
Culprit, global warming
BECAUSE,
You opened up my eyes
I see grief as he or she dies,
The worlds become a war zone,
Fighting an enemy unseen, unknown!
BECAUSE,
You opened up my eyes!
I know this virus is in disguise
And saw the great divide,
Which made me sad, I cried!
BECAUSE,
You opened up my eyes,
Saw poverty, heard children’s cries
Forests which were dense,
De-forestation makes what sense?
BECAUSE
You opened up my eyes,
Awakened to be wise,
And help and give the poor,
More than ever before,
BECAUSE,
You opened up my eyes,
Dear God, I need your advise
What is it you wish me to do,
For I will do anything for You.
And all BECAUSE,
You, opened up my eyes!

Scarred and Blackened

In Tasmania’s rugged but scenic South West
Lies an ancient land of pristine wilderness
Protected by a World Heritage Listing
An eco-system a thousand years nesting

A land of Aboriginal spiritual dreamtime
Where rare native flora survives, like Pencil Pine
And fauna abound on the Button Grass plains
With rugged mountain ranges never tamed

Hunter Gatherers burned to reduce the fuel load
The protectors now heading down the wrong road
By letting the fuel build to immense dimensions
A massive fire just waiting to turn the land ashen

The spirit of storm clouds gathers up high
For the rangers this is pleasing to the eye
But alas, this building spiral of cloud is dry
Just building thunder heads in the sky

The inner circle of the clouds one big mass
Intermingle, then with violence they clash
Spewing bolts of lightning to the ground
But not a drop of precious rain to be found

A searing bolt of lightning grounds
Amid the drought-stricken pencil pines
An explosion of sparks, then flames
A fire is born the lightening to blame

Spreading quickly with the brisk westerly winds
The fire races through the dry Button grass plains
A massive cloud of smoke drifts east
Alerting the protectors to this massive beast

The call goes out for fire fighters and water bombers
As the black smoke causes concern to near-by loggers
For the fire now a catastrophic inferno
Consuming the wilderness like no tomorrow

The water bombers and man-power useless
Against this cataclysm of wild fire that has unleashed
Thousands of acres of pristine wilderness
Now blackened and scared, a nothingness

For weeks it burned, some 100,000 acres
Now tamed by remote area fire-fighters
But the scars from the fire yet to discover
A landscape that will take years to recover

Global warming, to blame many think
As this South-West area was always wet
Many years of below average rainfall
Perhaps Mother-Nature having her revenge

Human's Stupidity

Sea level rises... glaciers gradually melt
Global temperature is climbing the cliff.. Beware
But hey, G H gases don't exist.. Global warming is a myth

Throw everywhere in the streets, plastic and filth
Eat, and just leave disposal plate somewhere, anywhere
And dump wrappers in oceans and water pith

Basic unit of food chain, the shells are getting extinct
Reason... Ocean Acidification... Be sacre, be very scare
But no, water won't mind industrious wastes, they think

A tiny killer virus has taken over the world, bit by bit
A pandemic! To the modern man was rare
Thousands died, yet to them this pandemic is bullsh*t

And would say, don't take vaccines, it' ill make you impotent
Don't wear the mask, it'll make you look stupid, beware
And that Vac contain micro spying chips... Damn it

Mother Earth is in ICU, we made her a patient
Her blood polluted, poisonous is her air
Yet, all is well, to them these problems never exist
Human's STUPIDITY is making us all extinct

How did I not see this before?
The green of the trees
 with their cornucopia of shades
Layered and punctuated periodically
with a unique dapple of light
Amid the litany of man's failing
 concrete towers
The leafy giants stride imperceptibly
 towards notoriety
Saving the planet
 one gramme at a time
As the humans race past.
The leisurely somnambulants
 biding, stretching, organically
  rooted in their dancing
   to the alternate tune
    of Nature's longevity

Show Your Love For Our Planet Earth

Let’s come together
to save our planet
From Global warming

Reduce the greenhouse gases
From destroying … the atmosphere

Try our best to keep it clean from pollutants
The air we breathe…
Or there’ll be thunderstorms and flooding…
From rising seas

Can you hear mother Earth is calling…
“Come back to me”
I’ll give you all the warmth and affection
Naturally…
Let’s plant our love and reap its blessings
For all mankind
And make the world a healthier place...
For you and I

Record ice storms reported in the news.
Multiple car pileups.
Unwary pedestrians fading into sinkholes.
Power lines down, roofs caving in.

God is angry, letting us know
he’s still in control.
No more towers of Babel!

At the tower reaching toward heaven
he confused their language
and scattered them to the ends of the earth.

He who moves mountains with his finger
and sways the ocean with his breath
sends the same message to us.
In frozen punctuation, he shouts
Quit playing God!

I look for the humor in any situation.
Notice the change in lingo.
It’s no longer “Global Warming”
but newly termed “Climate Change.”

Global Warming

what have we done
for glaciers to melt so fast
for forest fires to flare so often
for tornadoes to rage so strongly
for droughts to occur oft and anon
for flash floods to recur time and again

Encased in thick ice
Sparrow shivers, sad demise
Flowers had emerged
Once colorful, now turned brown
Snowy carpet for Easter

Frozen bunny dies
Easter egg hunts ‘neath snow mounds
Sun plays hide and seek
Bunny’s obit cites “death knell”
Meaning of Easter recalled

Ma Nature fooled us
Groundhog needs unemployment
The weatherman lied
Al Gore has hidden away
Ice age, not global warming

Ode To Global Warming

Catastrophe of the dry run

The sea, Ice, air, human are rapture
The powerful are brought to ruin

Green horse making this World hot

        70% is absorbed in heat

18 degrees Celsius balance the heat

Mighty keeper of water in the lands

         Mighty destroyer of Islands

        Changing, charging chastising

          The atmosphere

I see, I am part of your activities

     Burning of coal activities

       Carbon emission, 34%. 2020 activities

350,000 in Britain suffered your hands.

65,000 Dominican Republic feel your hands

500,000 in southern California left home to avoid your hand
Denmark gathered the heads cos of your hand.

The heads accept to make peace.

If only it will go to the heart.

Oh mighty one, tell me how to keep peace,

Is it more of vegetation, so I keep peace?

      Or keep away carbon dioxide

      Nitrous oxide and methane

          for peace.

      Mighty one, tell me

How you can lie low, for peace

I know I used more than
      I put back to you.

Should I have my own forest?
But I know sunspots and solar flares started before me.

REASONS OF WRITING

This poem was writing out of inspiration on hearing and reading how this atmosphere has been badly used and the follow events caused by bad emission to the air, the changing in almost every natural events gave rise and when the heads of states gathered in Denmark to plan for the way forward. It is my contribution on how this atmosphere can be made for a better condition for us all to stay in.

MESSAGE

(1) This poem is a free verse, it run through without break, saying the major event that global warming has cause in the world.

(2) That the heads of states decision in Denmark should be put into practice not mouth say.

(3) That before man (human) started anything sunspots and solar flares started before man

(4) We use more than we put back to nature.

(5) That green vegetations is also a way forward.

(6) Everyman should have his/her own or plant his/her own forest it is possible.

Global Warming

such a strange sight the outsourcing of
 careless myths strapped and carried
on the backs of skinny men.

gandi in a white sash with poor
handwriting tells of the ganges
languid mouth.

while not so far north of the ghetto by a
 freeway overpass some were seen
gathering .

there under the lords bent gray elbow
 carbon filled prophets with severe
phobia's look up to the sky and
wonder who to punish.

still the embryo's fall to the
 earth in seed form first.

they have seen this sort of
thing before but their not talking.
