Instead of the phrase, “brain freeze” at times we avow
Blurted out, “freezer burn” pointing between my brows
Wife Cathie took a fit
Convulsed quite a bit
Finally got control before the neighbours she aroused

The Freezer
I cannot believe I can see
my own breath.
To amuse myself, I try
making shapes;
it doesn't work.
I see how fogged up
the glass on the door is.
I consider drawing on it,
and realize my fingers
will stick.
I wait about fifteen minutes.
This time, I consider writing
backwards "I am trapped. Let me...

Close the Freezer Door
The Fairies are complaining
about it being too cold outside,
they try to keep themselves warm
by trying to find somewhere to hide.

They start tapping on my door
wanting to come in from the cold,
I trip and fall getting to them
days like this, I feel rather old.

One saw me...

Freezer Burn

I’m running out of room
inside the freezer
I swear – I did everything
to please her

Yet somehow I could never
keep her sated
Sadly, I fear, the ending
had been fated

We used to use the ice cubes
as a teaser
now she’s turned to ice
no way to please her

It seemed to...

Continued from FREEZER MICE

The cat had travelled straight from hell, a hell beyond the stars
The cat that theories claim once levied genocide on Mars
She now seeks vengeance on descendants of the primal shrew
Whoever knew that humble shrew would lead to me and you

Her journey had...

An Old Geezer Tried To Steal My Freezer
Last month I caught a man when he tried to steal my freezer.
I was shocked because he's eighty-seven, he's an old geezer.
When I caught him, he made a gesture with his finger that was inappropriate.
Old man or not, that made me mad and I was...

The Freezer
It's so damn cold, I cannot stop shivering.
It's not hard to feel what mother nature's delivering.
Bone numbing cold seeping all through my clothes.
No feeling left in my fingers or my toes.
There's not enough shots out there to warm up this belly.
And I know I can't...

When no-one was around they did the finger-clicking thing
And grew to human size in time for what the day might bring
Their guns were charged and ready and with sliders set to ‘KILL’
But Cody had a plan that...

Vegetable Market Freezer
I rule you for forty two years,
All that I have done for you,
Free health, education, above that
Above average standard of living worldwide.

All you do is kill me,
Keep my dead body in a
Vegetable market freezer
Displaying it to onlookers,
Had I known you loathed
Me that much,
I should just...

Those primeval skies, no man ever knew
Ignited, as one massive boulder burst through
Hollow inside, creatures not unlike mice
Strapped themselves in as they plunged into ice
Instantly boiled then instantly frozen
None were to question the planet they'd chosen
An epoch asleep in an Antarctic crater
They wake in the...

Premium Member A Brain Freezer
Two days have gone by and no new poems
What's happening to this silly old geezer
Am I having one of those damn writer's blocks
Those famous deadly brain freezers

Surely there's a bunch more stuff inside
It just isn't making itself known
Usually I'm a very patient old son of...
