The Freezer
It's so damn cold, I cannot stop shivering.
It's not hard to feel what mother nature's delivering.
Bone numbing cold seeping all through my clothes.
No feeling left in my fingers or my toes.
There's not enough shots out there to warm up this belly.
And I know I can't live like this, you don't have to tell me.
But this is what I must endure until I can open a door.
And close this one, never to be opened I implore.
I will hold on to hope. Even if it's just a trickle.
Cause I refuse to sit here and become a human Popsicle.
