My Joy This Morning

I
After prayer and shouting joyful noises to Jesus, I came to know He didn't mind

II
Messages come with unknown texts. Today, after a year, this cell updated Pastor Max, from Lenasia. I thank my LORD I didn't block his message: How are you? It felt like a family reunion, PTL

NOTE:. Pastor Max speaks Sesotho and leads the afternoon worship, Sundays at CRC, Johannesburg (CRC: Christian Revival Center, independent). Shalom shalom in our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ

Fraternity

Sinfonia
Phi For One
Mu for Alpha

Orange splices of pure fire fall to the cavernous wall as if the world was on its head,
Shadows of friends in greeting prints the rock a far,
I sit in comfort and complete humility by a roaring fire of fraternity.

I ponder my great quest for fire.
A long road remembered,
As barber drips from the pores of my soul chanting a deafening memory of my initiation.

The end is near, the wait is impossible, my stomach churns but I don’t care. I whisper to my earned brother, “where are we?”, “In the middle of no where in a freezing car.” Several hours go by and nay we pledges have much importance. Finally, the sounds of gravel hence at approaching membership. I hold and follow my earned brother along a steep and rocky path. I peer down my nose at my feet, barely staying vertical. I feel a blaze of warmth and hear a hissing crackle as if cast into the inferno of hell and damnation. An eerie silence blanketed by the radiance of Adagio. I feared the unknown and was most untrusting of the “Actives.” Who con and deceive. I trust Nathan and Dustin though, and they would not harm me! My mind never rested, I considered every course of retaliation, every out, every option.

At last I remove my blindfold destination revealed with aww.

Fresh and clear meanings defined.
My ritual, praised by youthful hearts, of Orpheus.

I am proud in brotherhood and understanding. I finally ware my gray hoody with the letters PHI MU ALPHA.

I (and others) have traveled great distances in Phi for One.
This One is but Mu, and can only be found in the leap of Alpha.
The Mu is necessary for Alpha and such a night is latent in all our minds

At nights end we all have replenished our souls with remembrance of fraternal meaning and brotherly spirit.
Raise your prelude to all the brothers, we sing.
A large circle of brothers arm over shoulder singing proud and loud on this cold damp November starry night.
This night is replayed over and over in my mind, reaffirming my commitment too Iota Rho’s long honored traditions. Time is irrelevant though we say its not. Perfection is of no concern, though we heave its importance.
At last the echo carries… SIN..FON..IAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa! At last the traditions are entrusted to the next generation.

Premium Member The Nonagenarian Fraternity

Today I'm celebratin' my final day as an Octogenarian.

Tomorrow I'll join the Fraternity of The Nonagenarian!

The decades have passed so fleet but its been one helluva ride,

And somehow I've managed to survive and taken it all in stride!

Now, 'tis my earnest goal to become a dashin' Centenarian!

(I suppose that could happen should I opt to be a Vegetarian!)

Next time I see my doc I'm gonna ask if he has sufficient clout,

To keep lubricatin' these old bones to ensure that my aim he can bring about!

Fraternity of Fools

Your worst enemy is that best friend who encourages you
to temporarily enjoy what will permanently destroy you
Your best friend is that hater who pursued you into greatness,
your worst enemy is that lover who pampered you into great mess.
The enemies that make us run to God are better
than the friends that make our relationship with God bitter.
Those who refuse to choose their friends wisely
will lose their future fortune foolishly.
Do not snug a sluggard nor fraternize fools...
They are misery-merchants and devil’s timeless tools.
Those who mind the business of others efficiently...
often make loss in their businesses effortlessly.
There are people you should love from a great distance,
for they will rid your life of its rare radiance.
There are people we have to keep close to our heart
because they make sorrow and stress depart.
The fraternity of fools will never flourish,
The partnership of peace lovers will never perish.

The Fraternity of Faith Fraying Faceless Fear

creating a gathering
where spoken words sing
of a moment that will bring
about answers to everything
we've subconsciously been asking
when can we breathe instead if gasping
for an everlasting smile still dancing
in the soul of our innocent imagination lancing

the boil of blasphemous beliefs
allowing our spirits some relief

easing the ache
still healing from our escape
out of the burning lake

it's never too late
to heal from the pain

its never too late

i thought you desired to know
how we will blossom and grow
into a flower of love wearing flamekissed petals that flow
through these cast-off skins that'll explode
into a distant star able to show
sleeping minds the route home
out of the darkness dissipating slow
stay strong as to not wallow

into yesterdays yearning to change
so tomorrow doesn't hang

our time has arrived
become determined to shine
peel back the backpackers of a paralyzed pair-a-lies
begging us to once again roll the dice
where every face is suicide rotten to the rind

I'M DOING ALL I CAN TO NOT LEAVE
ANYONE BEHIND

here's my hand
as we evolve and expand
can you see the Creators brand
upon this man that I now am
and wanted to be when I began
this lifespan

to do the will of our beautiful plan

you can't escape the truth
no matter how far you've ran

TURN AROUND
FACE YOURSELF

inherit eternal health
and non-materialistic wealth

choosing to dispose of clutter
revealing salvations shelf

O Brother, Feel Fraternity

Don't worry, don't worry
O brother, feel fraternity
Preaching religion
You can also carry on
You've more ceremony
than this ISKCON diary

                                 Let showers of Christmas spirit
Usher peace for the world and man
                               Without boyish beams of blemish
                                At sea, in space and on the land;

Let the sun of Christmas spirit
Glow in a graceful gentle way
                                Without cease and without remit
                               On Christmas day and everyday.

Jack wrote a poem about his beard and it got me to thinking. What is it about our facial hair that causes us to hold on to it? For me, when I grew my first mustache at sixteen, it was almost a right of passage to manhood. When I look back at old pictures, it doesn't look so manly. My Mom had always threatened to shave it off in my sleep. She never did, so here I am Thirtyfive years later still sporting a mustache with an added Goatie under my chin. The younger amongst us may consider me an old goat so I think it is appropriate. I prefer of course to think it is distinguished, especially considering the amount of grey that has appeared. Perhaps in a few years I will look back and think, it looks as silly as that picture of my Sixteen year old Self. For now it will remain, kind of like an old friend you don't wish to part with.

Christmas

Time to operate on us,
            the engine of love ...!
            To light the flame and
            from the harmonic heart,
            Wake up to life...!

            Call back,
            peacetime and union.
             Call the fellowship of men
             invite all humanity
         to join the Lord ...
             Preaching fervently,
             the universal
             fraternity among
             all on earth...

Maternity First Or Fraternity

Ward's fat wife in a maternity,
He in their TABCAN Fraternity...

And Ward can't see the insanity:
Wife who had bled quite a quantity,
There with Ruth only a brutality;
A blinding by TABCAN's sanctity...

TABCAN that grants with authority
The hateful wishes of minority,
Its abhorred area of specialty
Speedy making of one casualty...

Not to okay enemy's demise
Even at this hour Compromise...

For a good ten years seeking a child
But now to some life wants to be wild
And while hoping for his child's safe birth
Home returning with a killer's mirth.

Your life’s but a shadow
he’s a king of the earth
he’s secure in his place
he knows his own worth.

He‘s lacking all burdens
his smile merits bliss
by the King be commanded
you’re deemed worthy young miss.

The lady‘s so lucky,
as a rose meant for plucking,
this brawling, rough rogue,
- this heir to earths throne,
deems her worth the f—king.

I chuckle demurely,
“Be away drunken sir
- leave me to my studies
- go chase other skirts
with your fraternity buddies.”
.
.
boy, the weekend festivities seem to start Thursday afternoons on fraternity row.
