Forced to Face the Mirror
I kneel before my master and rub my cheek upon his thigh;
I know what comes next; I won't allow myself to cry.
He tells me to stand up now, and as always, I obey;
He twists my arms behind my back, and then he leads the way.
He stands me before my reflection, my mortal enemy;
Bruised, broken, and naked, she stares back out at me.
I beg him "Please don't do this." He kisses me on the cheek;
Then he turns my head to face her, this woman, scared and weak.
Her body is not perfect, there are scars and deep, dark lines;
He appears not to notice and rubs his fingers up my spine.
He stares at my reflection til I can't stand it anymore;
So I try to turn around and slink down to the floor.
He catches me and lifts me up, forcing me to stand;
Then gently holds me by the throat with his strong and calloused hand.
He forces me to watch as he slowly drinks me in;
With nothing but his eyes, he caresses my skin.
I think I hear the slightest moan escaping with his breath;
The thought that he's enjoying this is like a silent death.
I feel his face come near my neck, he inhales my scent and soul;
His lips graze my shoulder, and I almost lose control.
Why will he not touch me? Does he dislike what he sees?
I can make him happy if he'd just allow me to my knees!
My body and mind are screaming, I need his reassuring touch;
But he won't lay a finger on me, just watches... It's too much!
I squeeze my eyes together. "Don't let him see you cry!"
His voice cuts through the haze, the words a lullaby.
"It's okay, my darling. Give to me your tears."
"I will lick them from your cheeks, and kiss away your fears."
When we are forced to stand our ground
Because someone is out of bounds
When you find yourself wanting to rebound
feeling like you have to stand your ground
Realizing your personal space
Has turned into a battleground
Taking the conversation southbound
Just hoping the situation doesn't compound
Before I know it's full-on aggression
One of life's hardest lessons
When you get bitten by the Devils venom
Looking to God in heaven
Hoping my engine will stop revin
Uncontrollable waves of word lashing
Surpassing my ability to stop us from crashing
When your character is attacked by an assassin
Making it impossible to ignore this full-on bashing
Feeling your temperature rise
As the blood fills your eyes
Believing that you're way to wise
Looking for a compromise
Knowing that taking it any further will jeopardize
Our friendship if we both don't empathize
Our hostile situation
That has my heart full on racing
With all this back and forth pacing
Making sure you're facing this threat
Trying not to do anything you will regret
Looking them directly in their eyes
Barking out how this leads to our friendship demise
Apparently, we are unable to stop the decay
When I feel it all slipping away
So sad I was unable to convey
How out of hand this runaway day
Found its own pathway
That left me feeling betrayed
So all that is left is to pray
For God to make it all go away
To help us fix it like it was yesterday
NO BORDERS!
NO WALL!
NO U.S.A. AT ALL!
THIS IS WHAT THE GLOBALISTS HAVE IN MIND FOR
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
HUMAN BEINGS ARE BEING FORCED TO LEAVE THEIR NATIONS
AND MAKE THE LONG HIKE TO THE UNITED STATES.
THESE MIGRANTS ARE GIVEN AID AND MONEY ON THEIR JOURNEY.
THE UNITED STATES SOUTHERN BORDER IS BEING INFILTRATED.
WHAT IS GOING ON IS NOT RIGHT.
THE WORLD GOVERNMENT IS BEHIND THIS CHAOS AND ANARCHY.
THE UNITED NATIONS IS PUSHING THIS FORCED MIGRATION.
WE, THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES, NEED TO PROTECT
AND SUSTAIN OUR PRECIOUS REPUBLIC.
OUR BORDER IS BEING OVER RUN WITH MIGRANTS, VIOLENT GANGS,
DISEASE AND CHAOS.
THE UNITED STATES DOES NOT NEED TO BE A THIRD WORLD NATION.
WE AS HUMAN BEINGS HAVE NO NEED TO LIVE IN FEAR.
MOST PEOPLE DESIRE A BETTER LIFE IN THE UNITED STATES.
HOWEVER, WE NEED TO PROTECT THE UNITED STATES.
OUR BORDER IS IMPORTANT AND
YES, DIVERSITY, IS ALSO IMPORTANT.
THE UNITED STATES IS EXCEPTIONAL BECAUSE OF ITS
PRESERVATION OF FREEDOM AND INDIVIDUALITY.
LET'S KEEP THIS NATION STRONG AND UNIFIED.
THE RULE OF LAW IS IMPORTANT; LET'S PROTECT OUR BORDERS.
THE REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS NOW UNDER SIEGE.

My eyes are sore,
Bleary and tearful,
Not from any ailment,
Physical,
But from the mere fact,
That they have been seeing,
What they should not have,
A lot of bad, ugly and unjust,
And more of it,
Day in and day out,
Here, there and everywhere,
I am exhausted,
And do not want to see,
I would prefer,
To shut eyes down,
And remain blind.
Ever since I turned fourteen,
They have controlled me,
Not let me fulfill my own dreams.
I am fourteen and I have a job
Sometimes this pressure is just to hard
That I hide in my room, and begin to sob.
They don't know how much pressure they're putting on me,
Can't they see?
I can't do what they wanted me to be.
I feel that I've been robbed of my childhood,
If I had an option to relive my life,
There would be no doubt, I would.
I wish life were like a game,
When you get a broken heart,
You could just press the button that says restart.
But that isn't the way life is,
Life doesn't work the way we wish,
He wants me to live my life just like he lived his.
But I'm taking a stand for myself,
I won't let him control me,
Even if I have to hide it from him, even If i have to stealth.
I'm going to be, what I want to be,
I'm gonna make my dreams come true...
Just wait, I'll make all of you believe!
Organizing the poems I have thought about organizing for two years
Finally have the time to do it. Feel grateful; did not think it would happen.
Outlined a mural from the kitchen to the last bedroom.
Dragon, kings, castles, queens, faeries, elves, brownies, cats.
Doing the things I thought I would do upon retirement before retirement
Still have the energy for it, and glad that I do as I fish stuff out from under beds
Some of these items have been there for twelve years; I thought it would be fourteen
Not fourteen now, as I begin to throw them all into a garbage pile.
If I have not used them for twelve years why would I need to keep them?
If a critter gets into the house through a dog door, it will be more difficult to hide.
Painting the white bathroom blue, a dream of mine for the past five years.
For five summers I have thought I would do it. Now I have.
Sorting online photos into files, so I can more easily find them.
Always thought of doing it; now I have the time.
Spending an hour a day writing poetry; a luxury I am loving.
Cuddling with a dog and cat who love it. A new hobby.
Keeping in touch with my friends via Zoom and Face Time.
Made my own U-tube channel where I have posted six videos.
I never knew how to make a video before this pandemic.
Now I do not know how to stop making videos!
Sometimes changes are forced on us
By the environment,
By our parents, siblings, neighbors,
By our co-workers, friends, boss,
By God.
We go into them kicking and bucking.
Wailing and screaming.
Our shrieks are deafening.
To us, but no one else notices.
Because we do it silently.
Socialized, so they will not know how
Sad and angry we are now, and it is their fault.
It is not our plan.
Our reluctance is pouring out of our pores.
We hope they choke in it.
We pout a bit. No one cares.
Finally settling down, sometimes
Often we see it is the best for us too.
Better than we had before the change was forced on us.
Happier now,
Forced to have something better
That we did not know we wanted.
some African presidents forced the retirement
of some military generals and others removed them
from some key posts yesterday
After the coup d'état of Gabon.
Some African presidents
who think to own their countries
and stayed on power for decades
now they have much fear to lose powers
like Ali Bongo and others.
This strategy won't help them as the young leaders
who are majority in the army many African counties
need change of some regimes.
It is difficult to stop those coup d'états
As the African youths
understand what they are doing.
It is called "no retreat, no surrender operation."

I was forced to write about kittens and butterflies,
but truth be told nothing came to mind
(envision myself feline? really? I'd be coughing up a storm!)
For sure not a poem to change your world-view.
But truth be told nothing came to mind
(though I still keep form with this crazy write)
For sure not a poem to change your world-view
(unless you were expecting something cuddly --- sickeningly sweet)
Though I still keep form with this crazy write
because pantoums are enjoyable.
Unless you were expecting something cuddly --- sickeningly sweet,
I'm sure you could feel the same,
because pantoums are enjoyable
... and mine come with less hair balls --- less wallpaper that took flight.
I'm sure you could feel the same
(were it not for the LOL cat memes that infected the world-wide web)
And mine come with less hair balls --- less wallpaper that took flight
(envision myself feline? really? I'd be coughing up a storm!)
Were it not for the LOL cat memes that infected the world-wide web
I was forced to write about kittens and butterflies.

FORCED IMMIGRATION.
A FORCED RELOCATION.
A DIFFERENT TYPE OF INTEGRATION.
GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED.
A FORCED MIGRATION.
LIVES CHANGED.
CITIES AND TOWNS CHANGED.
A SOVEREIGN NATION CRIES OUT
TO PROTECT ITS BORDERS.
AMERICA IS STRONGER,
AND AMERICA IS WEAKER.
WE MUST DECIDE THE FATE OF THIS NATION.

I wish parents should express their motive behind hurrying
and forcing their young girls into marriage!
And what is wrong with our legislators and law enforcement angencies
who can afford to turn a blind eye to the torture experiencing young girls!
Honestly,the practice has led to many premature babies;
and deaths of our young girls during child birth, due to excessive loss
of blood and labour complications!

Yahoo marched his Mistress

And for pains was told to « Go ! Doodle ! »

we have lost the meteoric
icy-blue, sky-fire
above the heated planetary core
of a thousand covered suns
in the center of oblivion
where confluence
carries hope
in warm symbiont souls
and lambs
wear ragged fleece -
iconoclastic mediocrity
reflective fables
of future past history
unlocked - foretold
the shamanistic path
of return
through stalagmite tunnels
would lead our spirits home
as tribal songs retreat
oppression
ever-present present past,
shaman seer
resurrected spirit healers
weeping, weeping,
weeping,
for the buffalo
bitter flood of salty tears
blood of man
soaks the trail with broken souls
man and beast, stink and sweat,
co-mingled
bathe in single sacred tear
underneath a future vision
four white devil idol faces
spirit sacrilege
breathing devil breath
upon the sacred hills of black and gold
the ancients from the sky
watch and weep
and still dust stirs
forty thousand spirit feet
walking, winding, wending,
in a never ending line
worn and torn, shoeless feet,
blistered toes to blistered souls
trail of fear,
women wailing, pain prevailing,
psychic suicides and tribal death
takes one final breath `
The veil covers her face hiding her tears..
her mind in turmoil, filled with fear..
Her life never really has been her own..
from the day she was born, even now full grown..
A culture to follow, her families demands..
her life is theirs, her choices lay in their hands..
Now here she stands, a bride dressed in red..
beautiful on the outside, yet inside she was dead..
She looks in the mirror, cries in despair..
"God you said you'd protect me, why aren't you hearing my prayers"..
Her father enters into the room, pride in his eyes..
he is too blind to see the tears his daughter silently cries..
He leads her out to a room full of men..
inside her heart, him she then does condemn..
Her mother now stands beside her, smiling so proud..
a false illusion of happiness envelopes her just like a shroud..
Words now spoken by a man who says he serves God..
she answers toneless and blankly, lost in emotionless fog..
Now it is done and she belongs to him..
bound to a stranger, a new life to begin..
The veil covers her face, hiding her tears..
her mind in turmoil, filled with fear..
Her life never really has been her own..
Now by her family she's been sold to a stranger in marriage...
because shes fully grown...
Her life taken from her, his now to own..
