Premium Member Love's Lament

She lovingly smiles at him each evening
dressed in palest silk, a gossamer gown,
brushed with hints of silverdust shadows.
Her shapely fullness casts a womanly glow
across his surface in ripples of light.

Enthralled by her shimmering beauty,
he waves to her from Baltic blue depths
of his longing and unspoken passion.
Her reflection swims in his crests and troughs
as he cradles the embodiment of her perfection.

Crested fingers rise to fondle her magnificence
but vast distance keeps them too far apart.
Her heart guides the ebbing and flowing
of his tides in their nightly dance, spent romancing.

Fluidly, he waltzes her in rhythm to the shore,
serenaded by a chorus of flickering stars
singing a tune written eons before
Gershwin could dream of Rhapsody in Blue.

Little more could either of them do as
their song wafted in a dolorous lover's lament
known by humans but perceived by few
as a divergent love between two of Earth's forces
whose liaison would be a tragedy for me and you

awkwardly I dance
because I have two left feet
hard to find partner

I watch you dancing
it seems you have two right feet
let us share some shoes

will you follow me
for if we move together
dance will have purpose

you move fluidly
my feet provide the structure
made for each other

no limitations
with artistry and purpose
we dance with the stars

life is not boring
we live within the rhythm
music from heaven

God is our maestro
leading us to forever
in death we won't part

Through You I Smile

I’d tell you my story, but where I’m from
it’s just a statistic
Life and death- same difference- it’s just ballistics.

So much suffering – I no longer pray for salvation
But say
‘Unharden our hearts, soften the indifference, please
let us not become animalistic’

I can’t drown – there’s no water
I can’t choose darkness – no light

I break my back- hospital full of counterfeits- bills left to pay
Work, work, work- greedy employers- overtime, what overtime?-
don’t bother them with linguistics

I fall asleep, dream in a loop- even my fantasies have become realistic

DON’T tell me it’s going to be okay- I’m not idealistic

And yet…something happens when I hit the poetic scene
There he is encouraging others, commenting on poems
Reaching out to new poets and just being optimistic

His words flow so fluidly, so joyously-tears prick my eyes
Gentle words, humorous words- my heart constricts
My face muscles contract
This feeling I get when I read his words is so foreign…
I wreck my brain trying to solve the mystery
Suddenly, my head bobs
My heart expands
My muscles relax
My mouth curves – it is called a smile

Your words are my balm – your goodness my hope –
your encouraging others my optimism

It is through you that I smile
so please try not to be sad.

Dedicated to Richard Lamoureux, he who makes me smile.

My Dreams Bleed

=0=

In the darkness fluidly
My dreams bleed
I see you in the shadows
Watching silently
Feeding my hunger
Quenching my ache for insanity
In my weakest hour
Even when i close my eyes
Your vision is still haunting me
The picture is black and perfect
People stare with empty eyes
Not one dares to look for the truth
Behind there own disguise
Ugliness ovewhelms me
Cruelness calls me in
Nightmares fill my space,
No breaking them tonight
A numbness invades my mind
Thoughts of being your angel of darkness
I long to know what's beyond this time
I cry like an orphaned child
My heart skips a beat
As you sing for me a lullaby
Of darkness and crimson good-byes
My walk on the dark side
Your disappearing now
Ripped away
You stole me away last night
Come back from behind the mirror
Make your darkness my reality.

Dreamers of Dreams-A 360 Double Helix Reversible

Dreamers of Dreams

Incongruous realities of microcosmic minds
Torturous awakenings in lives raging reminds
Dormant and deceived are rapid eyes moving
Absorbent are neurons firing fluidly brewing
~
Images living through altered consciousness
Stages changing forever falling bottomless
Distortions within space of timeless events
Portions parallel admits mysterious segments
~
Death opening doors amongst dreams coming
Breath filled Angels of harmonics humming
Creation awaits upon celestial sailing seas
Imagination of paths through eternal keys.

...in reverse

The Last Dance

To whom it may concern,

We wrote in a rhythm that was soft and slow
Between the lines where we could go
You brought the bass, I brought the breeze,
Dancing together, pens moved fluidly

No label fit yet promises were made
Ones said were real never to fade
You spoke in beats, I answered low
And in between I thought we’d grow

But then you left without a sound
No soft goodbye, no common ground
No final line, no open door
No last dance, no nothing more

I searched the space you used to be
A half-lit room inside of me
The words we built began to fade
Yet my heart still hoped you’d stay

But hope gets tired, worn and thin
So I turned the page, let healing in
You won’t return, and that’s okay
Some people aren’t meant to stay

So I end our chapter, close a book of shame
No bitter ink nor shades of blame
You were the verse, I was the theme
For a little while, we shared a dream

And when you paused, I took the floor
Not begging you to give me more.
I danced alone, and in that space
I found my strength, my quiet grace

So here’s to us, the brief, the bright
The words, the rhythm, and the light
No bitter end, no final blow….
Just love, and time, and letting go

Love always,
Brenda

Addiction To Depiction

This is why writings my new addiction,
     I have to address!
  I say this to you with pure conviction,
     I truly confess!
  Letters make Words which then start fruition,
     Then this will progress!
  Raw emotive words leave no restriction,
     Some feel they caress.
  They can describe my every affliction,
     Possibly endless!
  Words pour out fluidly without friction,
     And don't leave a mess.
  Always showing my every depiction,
     Can surely impress!
  Uniquely drawn poems beam apparition,
     These pictures possess.
  I take time to mend all dereliction,
     And never regress!
  Words organicly come without fiction,
     And this I must stress!. .. .... .....
  For my next poem I have no prediction,
     I'll seek to profess!

The Power of Words

Spilling verses
as if they were a life line
Thinly hanging on
In air
Hoping they go
Somewhere
Reaching
Teaching
If not Preaching
A truth
To life
Giving meaning to
Always becoming a path
To our feet
Defying mere physics
Like walking on water.

Inking my way past
Adversity, while attempting to hold onto
Sanity in the midst of human travesty
Man made catastrophes by ego's
Pride.

Let it be so and so
Traveling words
More thunderous
Than dreams do allow
Spilling soul and fire
Flaming paths of
Prayer into the
Ether
Burning insence
Catching the nostrils
Of God Himself or Herself
Raising attention to
Angels and Demons
Hear I am
Here we are
Racing time, in attempts
To move mountains from here to there
On Ledges where
Death no longer Stands,
But stanza and sonnet command
Life is Eternal from mouth to
Hand
Affirming Our Generation
As a Genesis without Nemesis.

Reflecting in the
Mirror dimly is
Me,
 a word
The world has known
Thee a time or two
Casting spells
In rhyme and form
Where logos fluidly
And fluently
Speaks to Universe
And Word, Faithfully
Becomes Will
9x's and
The poet's verses
Declare projected
Prophecies.

Thus the word is done
From soul
With the power
Of Divine Expectations
Mystical ,but clear to
Listening Ears
Piercing bone and marrow
Awakening what was once feeble
In many.

May we now speak
With the tongues of Gods
Into unknown tomorrows
Beautiful Order Words
Into a world filled
With The Hope of Love
A solid fruition
Human Ascension
Into never ending Light
As plain as sight beyond sight.

Identity

A vestige lingers of my sweet Ginger sharing the treasure of What color is love?

Springtide fell according
Affliction bred
Tending a foundation; no longer perceived

Flailing in an undertow between the realms of fragmented desires while desperately yearning to reunite with what can never be

Convoluted tattoos pierced my being.
Tangled in encompassed departures - aspirations drowned

Wading no more-
Restraining from feverishly Tangoing in a bog-

Thus fluidly dodging the precursors and ancestry of my youth- they are not meant to be disturbed - nor used as weapons; subjectively or furnished by a barb

Incidentally, the capacities of experiences led to my vanguard, emerging through a pool of quicksilver,
accompanied with a tender disposition, united, benign and liberated

Rumi's quote: Let the beauty of what you love, be what you do.
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Allow love to spur you in whatever you do,
Life's a canvas, awaiting artwork to ensue.
Ignite your passions and spark in the night,
Allow your soul to be your mentor, at full might.
Allow nature splendor to serve as inspiration,
Exploring the cosmos with fascination.
Allow hues of sunset and budding flora to flow,
Assist you to paint art that makes souls glow.
Allow pristine music to lead your way,
whilst you empower melodies to play.
devote the beat to invigorate your soul,
Let music convey the soothing console.
Allow diction to flow fluidly from your pen,
You have skills to lustering tales echo again.
Allow your mind to flow freely, akin to a river,
Express out explicitly with words that shiver.
Allow euphoria of smiling at the scenery music,
As you put delight in each minor task you pick.
Maintain that your amusement is pervasive,
Send smiles to everyone's faces; be persuasive.
Allow mellifluous kinship to serve as an anchor,
facing various hurdles and rewards, or rancor.
May your ties be sturdy and your bonds deep,
Genuine friendship is a commodity to reap.
Undeniable
I hear the siren of death whistling through your hollow heart.
I see the lies fall so fluidly out of your mouth.
Almost as if it’s natural; a black gravity of some sort.
I smell the genuine scent of decay, so unpleasant, so definite.
You can’t deny.
I touch a dry residue; ashes of your guilt ignited memory.
I taste the sweet flavor of revenge, as you perish away into nothing but eternity.
I feel sympathy for your poor soul, like a child going off to school with nothing more
than their name.
Why is it that as much as I try to hate all I feel is love?
It’s like my emotions are trapped in absolute values.
I’m dying to hate you, yet would so easily die for you.
My contradictions take over; pulling as if I can be separated.
I cringe at your voice.
I smile at your calamity, even though your suffering isn’t my credit to claim.
Sunshine Man
In the sunshine, surrounded by light and warmth
Waves crashing on your shore
Surf into our lives again to encourage
Caring soul, poetic spirit
Smile, let the  pearls glisten in the azure sky light
Words flows fluidly, oozing from your persona! Crashing in the ripples of the soup.
For my friend Ruben Ortellao, for all the encouragement you have given me and others!!
(hope it makes you smile)
Dish
It was all a dream then,
I just saw you alive again,
I just thought about it,
how I never touched you...
and with the great future of our imaginations fluidly flowing south to the sea, where our spirits live we make love-
all the time actually, just enough to feel like we're never even here,
I heard your voice inside,
so deep,
so caustic,
I crept into a void like the 'nobody can have it so swell, this whole being must end-us in hell!'
It was said in magnificent books
how long it can take to fall in love,
with me I simply laughed at you laughing at me-
I simply let in the imagery,
and then the feeling that protects us,
I simply looked at myself, right after we're done and fell for a thousand years.
Premium Member The Flautist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THE FLAUTIST  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 THE FLAUTIST fluently flaunted her flute- Music flew faultlessly through the airwaves, flying fluidly above the noise of the blustering city
THE flautist created a calm fragrance, who's flavor of creativity fell-well onto your soul creating a soul stirring calmness across the city.

She played her flute clean into the night vehemently, over the feverish chaos –
And the people in the park and in the city could hear clearly as they walked in rhythmic tunes/ She flaunted her music like sweet low hanging fruit, Her music dangled beautiful and singly. She alone, Solo-ed notes of delightful serenity-

  The flautist moved the masses to a state of bliss; Like free kisses flying in the wind landing on ears conquering and engaging spirits, conquering pandemonium with her flute, she blew her flute... SHE BLEW HER FLUTE, and we marched and listened obediently. She blew her flute and we marched magnificently to her concert.
