I was a planetary climatologist, who studied climate variability and change,
Like sweet variability of stunning, green tulips, in lavish garden rearranged.

Studying the said effects on the biosphere, absorbed so many daily hours,
Like industrious days of fragrant, amber honey, after tumbling into flowers.

My labors impacted energy usage, along with food production and health,
And the survival of endangered species, like golden rays of natural wealth.

Faddish flowers fascinated friends, who flattered them, at my broad fence,
Under fleecy, lemony clouds, fast moving, and orange sun, grown intense.

Famished, feasible family feasted, in lavish flowering fragrance of Fridays,
When fugitive, frosty stars flickered, winking at green garden bonsai trees.

I lived in the house of emerald echoes, in vivid memory of nature's sound,
From birdsong to crickets to evening wind, and brook of babbling renown.

Sachets swept away a sudden sadness, as robins sought another summer,
On my street of starry-eyed forget me nots, like a tune with no drummer.

Nobody knew latest neighborhood news, like my nearest friends next door,
Like chameleon sun, crisscrossing teal sky, wholly ignorant of 'nevermore.'

Pink birds were living high, and red butterflies viewed a world, ultraviolet;
And yellow bees went about their sweet labors, since queen bee desired it.

Strawberry clouds sailed around the world, for clouds ever love adventure,
As dogwoods barked in summer's dog days, during a gold noon surrender.

As I was walking home one day, the sun vanished as skies turned ominous.
There was a lightning flash just before the thunder, loud and cacophonous!

Suddenly, I saw a male face in the clouds, that was bellowing and enraged,
Like blizzard winds through naked trees, howling at a lush year that's aged.

Taken aback, like butterflies in gusts, I had come face to face with thunder-
The mighty, furious face of the storm, and I was filled with sudden wonder!

Then came the silver rains, sideways slanting, at the dead end of drought;
And I raced home like all uneasy nature, in the successive hours of doubt.

Scintillating sun had returned next day, after banishing the tangerine mist,
As benevolent nature was no more angry, its tale ending in an orange twist!

The Ship In a Bottle - POTD

POTD 6 Mar 2020

Oh, where are those waves
of bygone days
that caressed and rocked
on hearing you cry?
‘Sleep little ship’ I'd murmur low
while ocean crooned her soft lullaby

Turbulent change wrought by tempestuous winds
Fresh cravings to taste the salted breeze
In foam and spray twixt the now lashing waves
Illusions waft to tempt and tease

Resounding thunder heralds a storm
Streaks of lightning split the skies
Your torch burning bright to take the helm
for selfish reasons my love denies

Indecisions vacillate crucial visions
cavernous chasms far withdrawn
The deeper I think the lower I sink
The wind howls forth a cry forlorn

No delusion with love ~ high the price
In this icy realm my resistance will take
a solicitous change of a Mother’s heart
Look not the shattered glass in your wake

The impulses of the over protective mother and keeping her child sheltered in a bubble away from the real world is just not feasible anymore. The ‘Breaking Point’ is, when she must weigh up her own feelings - either relinquishing her relationship with her offspring by forcing it to stay, or breaking her heart if she lets it go.
Ultimately, as in the ‘Story of Life’…. Love conquers all.

In the realm of soccer, where dreams bear flight,
A stage was set, shining under the beaming light.
The Women World Cup, with glory at stake,
Sweden against the U.S., hearts ready to quake.

Regulation played out, With a nil-nil score,
Both teams gave their all. Their spirits never wore.
The tension in the air—as the clock ticked away.
The crowd held their breaths, in anticipation that day.

Extra time was granted to break the deadlock.
True, a win was staked—each side stood headlock.
The strain grows as there are no goals to be found.
As the clock started to tick away the time abound.

The shootout with penalties—to pick the winner.
In the greatest nerve-racking way feasible spinner
The U.S. stepped up, with confidence and might,
But fate had a different design, on this fateful night.

Three missed kicks—In the realm of soccer fights,
Sealed the U.S.'s fate, In a moment so tight.
Kudos to Musovic—and the Blue and Yellow,
For their resilience and skill, in a match so mellow.

In the realm of soccer, Where dreams bear flight,
This game will forever be a testament to their might.
The Women World Cup—a stage of pure thrill,
Where nations unite, with a passion that is real.

Though the U.S. may have faltered, In this battle so grand,
Their journey won't cease here—their legacy will still stand.
In the realm of soccer, It's not just around the score,
But the heart and grit, retain us coming back for more.

So let us celebrate the triumphs and the falls,
The beauty of the game captures us all.
In the realm of soccer, where dreams bear flight,
We witness moments of glory—battles fought with might.

Congratulations to Sweden—their win was sweet
All dreams in the field of soccer start at the feet.
A stage was built up, gleaming in the spotlight.
The Women's World Cup—the stakes are right.

Rumi verse" Sing to me in the silence of your heart and I will rise up to hear your triumphant song"
             ________________________________________

Life is a symphonic cynosure
a charming composition
sung in tune noisily in tandem
merriment liberates us
spread the tunes of life
a ready-made ubiquitous syntax
moon voices Jukebox heart
Iron harps croon the days
I used to walk Elvis line in his heyday.

Twilight dream orchestrator
soars on silver wings
across the eerie sea
past raven-singing islets
race the clock
swap hourglass sand
reset to our first trip,
let's foster solid walls.

Life is a bittersweet symphony.
Love, laughter,
and silent dreams
In verses, rhythm begins
Steering us via life's curveballs
a calm ballad may be feasible
dreamlike memory
dusty paths to neon-lit roadways
catching dreams, sailing
weeping as a lone harp
I'm queueing until death
to travel as a country song
via onomatopoeia syntax
a metonymy, twangy melody.

paint hope on breeze
as moonlight amid trees
or pearly umbrella stars
dancing in cosmic black sea
dark orchestra conductor
revive ancient music
until ivory beams last.

Life is a melody to be sung
play it gently as a drumbeat
life serenade in riptide
years notes strum
cosmic tapestry links us to poetry
spirits dance in unison,
life is akin to writing a song,
with our key and tone
each life has a meaning,
we pick the theme and chorus
a song bearing our name
an inclusive rhythm
life's a tune.

The garden of the world has no limits except in your mind. Its presence is more beautiful than the stars with more clarity than the polished mirror of your heart. By Rumi

Clinging comely crimson cleome curb cosmos
Sky is nebulous with dusk, owing to camos
Ornaments that balmily flicker in the background
Amid whirlpools of jade, scarlet, and indigo found.

Nothing beats a comely asterism of fall nights
To gaze up at the stars and relish the sights
Space wideness may induce mankind to fear
We fathom how desultory we are, through tears.

Diaphanous moon beams brighten the land
Crafting creepy casts curdling children's strands
But the moon is breathtaking in its own right
With a million-year-old mountains and sights.

Amid a silvery sky ignited by the moon
Lonesome island of stars, in a druid swoon
Streets that glisten with dazzling lighting
Crystals of iridescent amethyst shining.

Efflorescence is diaphanous in appearance
Lawns are studded by ruddy lilac buds entrance
Creepy crawlies in azure wind their way upward
Gazebos are sleek and clad in ivory word.

Wispy clouds start to split or disperse
Nebulous mist of the island, to immerse
Elysian Symphony builds to a crescendo
Regarding the violin-produced echo.

Cosmic bodies aligned akin to pins on a map
Assist sailors in spotting their suitable cap
Waterlilies float, creating a gorgeous scene
Lullaby is sung on an idyllic lake, so serene.

The aurora shimmers with an aurified glow
Sewn from spools of gossamer light and flow
A veiled glade is seen by a translucent moon
Rosewood, wisteria, periwinkle, iris leaf tune.

Elixir of gems at night, shine, and dazzle
Host the discovery of feasible ways of gravel
Quintessence of empyreal magnificent form
Bright kaleidoscope prismatic of stars swarm.

To help me make it through rough times
Some vague trials with unknown length.

For each step there's just enough light
From Lighthouse to guide Christians through.
And I know strength is there alright.

Strength feasible from a simple
Prayer to God's listening ear.

Dear Lord, I need your super strength
More now that I am getting old.
Your supernatural feats have length
Reaching from heaven to earth I'm told.

Fifty Years

For the fifty frigid years I've spent forgetting your too friendly face,
For the fifteen forlorn times I lost my familiar faith,
Faint as those fallen, faceless, forever engraved memories are,
Fatal and faltering they make my fast-paced feigning heart beat by feelings so fake.

Follow me as phantoms from our fantasies' pasts free our paths forward.
I found the forest trail fastened in sight with fancy fairy blood.
Follow the sound of the fading falsetto from the fairest of God's favored Angels.
Hurry fast before frozen figures freeze your feet, stuck in mud.

For fifty long fervent, frantic years I've waited,
Fathoming, wondering, if it'd be feasible for you to be here.
Freaking out for a change so fair.
Fatigued, fretting, frozen in fear.

Failures, fallacies, false bearings...
For once in fifty frigid years, freedom from you is now forever for me.

Failed Dreams

I worked towards this dream my whole lifetime
But it always seemed just out of my reach
The harder I tried to achieve it,
the further away it seemed to become

I was always told growing up
That I could be whatever I wanted to be
As long as I worked hard for it,
And kept my eye on the ball

No one tells you
No one prepares you for
what happens when you fail
The feeling of defeat, and loss.
That feeling of hopelessness
that seems to envelope you
Mind, body and soul.

I have fought so hard over the years
Tried and failed, just to pick myself up and try again.
Only to realize failure once more

How long do you ride this never ending Carousel?
constantly and consistently
Round and round,
only to end up in the same place you started.
Back to square one, over and over

When is enough, enough?
A day, a week, a month, a year?
When does one decide that
it is no longer feasible
To continue on this path?
To continue the ups and downs
on this roller-coaster of life?

You may even momentarily feel
that you actually are in control,
only to be holding on for dear life
within the next moment,
hoping and praying that you won’t
be ejected and thrown from
the false security of the car that is
barely being held upon the track.

One after the other,
time and time again
Failure after failure,
try after try
As I sit here once more,
after being thrown from
 the proverbial horse
Trying to decide if
I should continue this
seemingly never-ending
spiral of failure.

I look back at all of
my attempts to succeed
that ended in failure
Never realizing the pattern
that was before me all along

I see those who have
supported me and had been
brought into my life at the
precise moment they were needed.

I see the places these attempts
took me and how each one
changed me in such a way that
I have become a better person
than I could’ve ever imagined.

I realize how each failure
caused me to become more
determined and more courageous
than I ever would have been
had I not experienced that failure.

So I guess it cannot be perceived
as a failure due to the good that
each experience has created.

I may not have reached
the goal that I have dreamed of
all of my life but what I got instead
is something greater,
something that goes beyond
all of my wildest dreams.

Love with your head

Many fall in love without
presence of mind.
They repeat the mod cliché
    that love is blind...

But sensible matchmaking
chooses more feasible soulmates.
Kids need adult  supervision
in the matter of dates.

Love is a very special emotion
that causes much commotion
in the heart and soul,
where it has a big role.
Love's possible anytime, anywhere,
and many are caught by it unawares.

But don't let love be just a stupor
from which you wake up in horror.
Don't let love be a one night stand drink
from which you get a hangover.
Committed Love shouldn't be a fad or spell
from which you just get over...

When young minds play their own cupid
To many that has brought heartache and sorrow.
Underage kids dating is even more stupid
They usually regret on the morrow.

Reason doesn't work in a fit of passion.
So its best to love with
your mind and consultation.
Having love affairs without deliberation
is harmful fashion.
Head over heels
without discussion,
with well-wishers
may cause concussion
headache
of so-called lovers...

Use your head before your heart
Not every spark
    should start a fire....

I don’t dare to dream beyond what I can do
It is foolish, craving to capture everything within view.
The world around is wondrously wide, a canvas vast
The more we try to grab, the more into agitation we’re cast.

Keep away from herculean schemes for tomorrow
Instead give today your best for a brighter morrow.
Focus on feasible things, let go, what’s beyond.
Take every step with caution, to simple needs respond.

Walls

In my youth I recall
A song by Pink Floyd
Called 'The Wall'
It Discussed
Where Fear Resides
Deep Inside
Behind Tortured Eyes

I suppose I should have mentioned
A Berlin Wall
Of Cold War Tensions
It Arose To Demarcate
Philosophical Differences
Of Nations States
Killing People

It stood topped with razor wire
Machine gun towers
From which to fire
Cold Grey Concrete Slaps
Separating A German City
Owner Occupied via sights
It lacked anything to do with pity
But then after all
What are walls for
But to surround and enclose
So those who build them
Can wriggle their toes
Sleeping safe in summer nights
Ignorant of outside fights

Man has built walls
For generations
A Chinese One
A celebration
Hadrian
When all said and done
He built one and not for fun

So now today we hear the news
About how politicians
And the media
Wish to steer our views
An american
Working hard
Uses one as an election card

And what about Greece
Where Walls of Wire
Now are preventing release
Of a situation so dire
We changed its name
From part of humanity
To being a refugee insanity
For what we know
Because History
Tells us so
Is that Walls appear
When we live in fear
And are unable
To find an answer near

So what does that say
As we wend our way
In Wiltshire and Sunny Somerford
Do we raise a glass
Yell Kiss our 'hand'
Accepting no human brotherhood
Can fit in our Porsche

Is that the correct course
Is it at all feasible
That civil unrest
Will create a test
That overflows our peace
Bringing War Near
And Not just Greece

So I'd like you now
To take a hand
Of someone you love
And imagine
If you'd take a stand
Join the push and shove
To save them

For each wall now
Each brick
Is a mark of fear
As it rises tall
There are no surprises
For we hide with walls
Whats on the other side

The Barefoot Days of Summer

The Barefoot Days of Summer

By Elton Camp

When I was a child in rural Alabama during the 1940s, going barefoot during the summer months was still a general practice, especially for boys. It was feasible because few roads were paved and sidewalks in the country were virtually nonexistent. The sun on hard, dark surfaces created burn hazards that prevented city kids from going without shoes outside the confines of their own yards.

My father’s childhood had been spent in the more distant rural areas of Marshall County. He and his siblings went shoeless partly by choice and partly because it was the inexpensive thing to do. Shoes for their large family would represent a significant cost. Memory being the fickle thing that it is, he looked back on “going barefoot” as a privilege and source of delight. It was a childhood rite that he wanted me to enjoy.

“You can start going barefoot now,” he announced in June of each year. His tone showed that he considered he was doing something wonderful for me, so I didn’t want to disappoint him by revealing my true feelings. Going shoeless hurts—a lot. Sharp rocks and stubs of plants seemed to be everywhere. After about a month, the soles thicken enough that walking becomes less painful, but it’s mainly a matter of degree. Without a doubt, the sandy, grass-free yards of his youth contained fewer perils.

In the forties, our yard had what passed for grass, but it actually was a mixture of grass, clover, and general weeds. When the clover bloomed, it created a hazard that no amount of tough skin could prevent—bee stings. The pain was intense and lasted a couple of days. The only treatment my parents knew was to moisten the head of a kitchen match to make a paste to apply to the sting. Despite their assurance that the folk treatment would help, I felt no better beyond the fact that something was being done. In later years, I took a perverse comfort when I learned that the sting tears out the internal organs of the bee so that it dies shortly. The mere fact that I was crushing the insect with my foot gave it no right to retaliate.

Apart from the beach, I haven’t seen a barefoot child over a year old in a long time. Viewpoints and circumstances change and that childhood ritual has vanished. Good riddance to it.

Premium Member In Times Like These

In times like these, "are the times which try men's souls."
We desperately need to pray for peace during this twenty-first century.
Talks and actions of hostile nations are igniting into flames of death and destruction. Do not the nations realize, nuclear weapons are capable of destroying humanity? Those who preach tyranny and terror do not really care!

When President Harry S. Truman unleased the forces of hell, when
he bombed Japan with the atomic bomb. He was hoping the nations
of the world would be completely horrified. Maybe mankind would
finally learn its lesson? We are now capable of creating and
using weapons of massive destruction. Mankind, of course, did
not learn its lesson. Creating even more destructive weapons!

When the United States signed a nuclear arms reduction treaty with
the Soviet Union, the Soviets never intended to honor those treaties.
But the two nuclear giants had several things in common, the value
of human life. They wanted to take over the world, not destroy it. They took over so much territory, they could not financially afford to provide for it. One of the reasons it collapsed was financial.

They really did not want to destroy their umbrella Communist nations.
Of course, they did not care about the basic human rights of their citizens. What about the Russians of the twenty-first century? They do not want to really die either? I am speaking about the people, not their leaders.

What about nations such as Iran, and North Korea? They do not care about the survival of their people. They deprive them of their basic human rights! They do not care if they perish from the face of the earth. They do not care if they plunge the entire world into a nuclear destructive world war!

They feel they have everything to gain and nothing to lose. According to God, the meek will inherit the earth. Those are words to live by regardless of faith, religion or politicals. Trusting God is the only really feasible solution to the forces of warfare today!

Love as always!

Ensure you allude to all that has been recorded.
Every creature that has lived inside the rocks.
A long-forgotten former planet has appeared.
Awareness arises as we break the padlocks.

Electric fan blades are humming in a hot place.
When you're alone, and there's no oxygen.
Loneliness looms overall aped a pitiful prince.
Bedlam rises when commotion inside deepens.

Reveal if that's innocuous, or it may injure people.
Are words yet another excavation experience?
Is it feasible to resurrect a moribund principle?
Did you find it bothersome or maybe mysterious?

There is a hole where the hamster once paddled.
Since the snake hissed at it but didn't even eat it
As the animal lays on the floor, its insides splayed.
Earth has morphed into the fabric under the seat.

Besides birds, giant excavators lay on their palms.
Underneath, you may view mind-boggling and tangled traffic.
Yet, excavating a gigantic hole in the center of homes.
Let Earth deal with melting lakes or roving nomadic.

From the tenth balcony, the building site is visible.
A goliath, dead pit discharges light, fire, and vitality.
Quietness loaded up with facts yelled in din risible.
Coated with glass, gaze at a flying towel on a gallery.
