Premium Member Lines On My Face

The words that I write
flow from a deep place
The lines I express
mirror the lines on my face

Some lines are joyful
other lines took their toll
Yes the lines on my face
on the page reveal my soul

I love my laugh lines
they are my fast friends
I can be a bit cheeky
or sarcastic, it depends

My love lines are softer
around my eyes they reveal
To the page when transferred
they let you know how I feel

Some lines are more tragic
they are my battle scars
I share lines on pages
instead of drinking in bars

Joyful, sad or happy
each line expressed is true
My expression as a writer
I choose to gift to you

Yes, all the lines scribed
mirror the lines on my face
They help me to navigate
through my mind space

Lines that reveal wisdom
are not pretty that’s true
They should be heeded
please listen to them too

Then choose to reveal
some lines of your own
I’ll see the lines on your face
and know that I’m not alone!

Do not hide your face
Let me see your beautiful eyes
                                          Do not hide your tears
                                          Let me wipe them away
                                         Do not hide your wounds
                                             Let me comfort you
                                            You should know that
                                             you are not alone
Do not be subdued by falsehood
                                          jealousy and backstabbed
Raise your head and be proud
Show me your face your grief
No one has the right to judge others
They must sweep for their own door

I was a planetary climatologist, who studied climate variability and change,
Like sweet variability of stunning, green tulips, in lavish garden rearranged.

Studying the said effects on the biosphere, absorbed so many daily hours,
Like industrious days of fragrant, amber honey, after tumbling into flowers.

My labors impacted energy usage, along with food production and health,
And the survival of endangered species, like golden rays of natural wealth.

Faddish flowers fascinated friends, who flattered them, at my broad fence,
Under fleecy, lemony clouds, fast moving, and orange sun, grown intense.

Famished, feasible family feasted, in lavish flowering fragrance of Fridays,
When fugitive, frosty stars flickered, winking at green garden bonsai trees.

I lived in the house of emerald echoes, in vivid memory of nature's sound,
From birdsong to crickets to evening wind, and brook of babbling renown.

Sachets swept away a sudden sadness, as robins sought another summer,
On my street of starry-eyed forget me nots, like a tune with no drummer.

Nobody knew latest neighborhood news, like my nearest friends next door,
Like chameleon sun, crisscrossing teal sky, wholly ignorant of 'nevermore.'

Pink birds were living high, and red butterflies viewed a world, ultraviolet;
And yellow bees went about their sweet labors, since queen bee desired it.

Strawberry clouds sailed around the world, for clouds ever love adventure,
As dogwoods barked in summer's dog days, during a gold noon surrender.

As I was walking home one day, the sun vanished as skies turned ominous.
There was a lightning flash just before the thunder, loud and cacophonous!

Suddenly, I saw a male face in the clouds, that was bellowing and enraged,
Like blizzard winds through naked trees, howling at a lush year that's aged.

Taken aback, like butterflies in gusts, I had come face to face with thunder-
The mighty, furious face of the storm, and I was filled with sudden wonder!

Then came the silver rains, sideways slanting, at the dead end of drought;
And I raced home like all uneasy nature, in the successive hours of doubt.

Scintillating sun had returned next day, after banishing the tangerine mist,
As benevolent nature was no more angry, its tale ending in an orange twist!

Premium Member Face To Face

awoken yet still dreamy
i float towards the window
by which i wait
by which i dream
peering through the fog of reality
i think of you

how I love you

face to face

peer through those incredible eyes
you expose only to me
completely transparent
deep as you are;
gifted,
singularly unique

the sound of your voice
more intriguing
wind - tiptoes the dense forest greens
the flutter of the one butterfly’s wings
caressing the jade blue of the morning sky

my name flying from you
like angels playing their golden harps
crave Destiny’s Child
“Say my name, say my name”
their music bouncing around in my head
as i wallow in the true of you

i love you face to face

your fresh
out of the shower
complexion

my eyes are yours
surely all of nature embodies you
and i must be made of steel
you the magnet draws the beat of my heart
breaking through my ribs
to sync with yours

face to face
enrobed in your thick locks
my fingers mapping every strand
bury myself in its scent
found in the meld of us

i love you face to face

Just Your Face

Futile is the sun to a heart in awe
And trivial is the moon's cosmic fame

All these voices are nothing but noises
These Flowers are like invisible stars

For what's it that the universe contains
Nothing... but your face to keep me sane

Only your voice brings exceptional joy
Only your lovely smile can make me fly

Face To Face

Dear God
If you blind me
I'd still see your beauty
I'd still find you
through fresh rain on my palm
the note of a pianist
and song of a bird
Through mild perfume of flowers
the splash of a wave
and wind in my hair
Through the blessing
of my mother's arms
the sun on my face
and laughter of each friend
Dear God
If you mute me
I'd still praise you
through the voice in my heart
the strength in my soul
and pen in my hand
Dear God
If You break me to pieces
If the cross is too heavy
and the road gets too long
If I feel all alone
with nobody there
I'd still call you
Cuz ,what is best for me
I do not know
What you want from me
I cannot understand
Yet,I do believe in you
I believe in you
and in nobody else
Yes,I lean on you
without knowing how ,when or where
Cuz , I know, Cuz you know
this tiny dot I live on
this daily labyrinth I walk
is nothing but a stepping stone
nothing but a journey
that I oughtn't question
Cuz , this devouring needy world
is only a salt drop in an ocean
compared to eternal happiness
You have so long prepared.

To Look Upon His Face
Nativity of Jesus

Oh! Starry twilight this December night
Guiding light glows so up high
Moonlit shadows slow dance
Shooting stars flashing close by

Angel's sweet melody echoes flow
With the embracing of heaven
Human beings, wildlife, and nature bow down
Paying homage to our God's son

Sparkling eyes and glowing heart
Spirit enthusiasm precedes me to look
For a brief moment upon His face
Heavenly virtue weeping tears overtook

To want to lift Him up and hold in my arms
My humbleness to submit to Him
And seek his grace and favor
Spread my wings and sing a Cherub hymn

Oh! Starry twilight this December night
Guiding light glows so up high
Moonlit shadows slow dance
Shooting stars flashing close by

Angel's sweet melody echoes flow
With the embracing of heaven
Human beings, wildlife, and nature bow down
Paying homage to our God's son

The Face of the Earth

Am I the only one who doesn't care it's raining?
That it's cold outside and no one's on the street
When the wind is blowing a hundred miles an hour
And the earth decides to shake its fist at me

When the elements electrocute my senses
And lightning carves the sky with angry streaks
When flying branches shatter picket fences
And thunder gives an awe inspiring speech

When the water that surrounds me churns and vomits
And the shoreline has no choice but to retreat
Not a morsel of my soul is craving shelter
I choke on rain and plant my stubborn feet

This is the fragile life that we inherit
These are the numbered days that mark my place
The Earth can be so damn intimidating
But I'm happy any time it shows its face

Premium Member The Written Face of Love

My love for you I carry in my heart
A growing ache, albeit tender, sweet
For from my body you are miles apart
My words like tender kisses sent to greet

Each letter and each thought with love is tied
Poetic lines immersed in passion’s hue
The secrets of your heart in them confide
My messengers of love sent out to you

Dear heart, be sure to read between the lines
At times a message stronger there you’ll find
Wild fantasies encrypted in these signs
My paradise you’ll enter with your mind

Who dares to doubt the written face of love
Has never flown on words to heights above

I Will Always Remember Your Face

You died without warning we didn’t get to say goodbye
I can’t get you out of my head no matter hard I try
I see the simplest thing and it reminds me of you
It’s hard to handle but for your memory Ill pull through

Your body has gone what you left behind is the only trace
The pieces of your life may be forgotten but I will always remember your face

I keep all the things that made you light up wit glee
And when I saw that joy it brought warmth to me
Even though your death has ripped me apart
I will keep that feeling close to my heart

Your body has gone what you left behind is the only trace
The pieces of your life may be forgotten but I will always remember your face

Your influence on others I see at every turn
A legacy for you and a torch that shall forever burn
I pray I don’t loose your memory, heaven please forbid
I will honor you and live like you once did

Your body has gone what you left behind is the only trace
The pieces of your life may be forgotten but I will always remember your face

Premium Member My Father's Face

From somewhere far beneath,
My father's face is rising to replace my own.
Each year the brightly silvered surface of my mirror
Reveals some other common feature
Pushing its way to the fore.

The silver of the years finds its way
Into the hair retreating at the same rate;
Years marching forward as the hairline marches back
In lockstep time. What's left shines
With the wintry distinction of age.

Whose eyes are these that now look out
From beneath my brow? Are these the eyes that watched my child in sleep,
Or now those elder eyes that watched over me so long ago?
What self is that at rest behind my silvered temples,
That rests its thoughts so heavy on these things?

Photos of the two of us together
Show the kinship of expression
The matching etchings of experience
That leave no doubt
As to the common blood by which we're bound.

I can no longer view myself
Without his presence being there as well;
Moreover, the image of his father
Shows the like upwellings in him.

The visage of the man who came before
The three of us I've never seen;
But I deem it probable there was little difference,
So back this face we share may go, ad infinitum.

Every face is a story
Of the life and its ways that shaped it.
This being so, I cannot help but feel ennobled
By the lines and lessons which have been passed to me.
This is the face I shall carry
From now to the end of my days.

My I tend it, and wear it, well.

The Glow Upon His Face

The glow upon his face makes the moon look bleak

His lowered gentle voice like a sunset song knocks each girl off her feet.

The sparkle in his eyes shame the brightest star

Each melodic whisper in her ear makes her heart beat fast and travel far.

Her cheeks once pale like white-washed linen sheets now own the perfect flush

because He found the secret code of how to make her roses blush.

The way he runs his hand across his brow have made her wish

for her cascading hair to be brushed by his fingertips.

Every night she dreams of him beneath a waterfall

and every night it is her name She hears him call.

He wraps her in his arms in each serene sleep

Sharing one last dance by the forest creek

STAND WITH A FACE OF HUMILITY

Thou curse a great angel to fall
from the heavens of glory and power,
though let man build towers for himself alone
letting him gaze on earth down.
Daggers are unknown but
they are directed to oneself
piercing six-inches deep in the heart
though made unreachacble stars of ruthless dreams,
there bete noire, implacable enemies abounds ,
occurring impossibilities cause bitter torments
art a fortress a defense for nothing, nothing?!

A sneering wall for a human being
the lowly thou had trodden down
 callused feet has stepped upon.
The anon ignorant void of wisdom infuse a poison
drops dripping from temptuous cup
of sweet assurance, of self-ambition and arrogance.

A pedestal thou arts amidst life's superficial ways
a courage to lift up a haughty face
the narrow rocky roads thou dwell is full of blooms
but will the ends refrain from drowning doom?
Poor man thou hast enslaved
in thy ruthless breaking embrace
secured within thoughts of highness
knowing not where he will stay.

Above, may he think and look unto the ground,
a place of fifth to step upon
for alas he has partaken from thy cup,
so now he's done.
Thou made a distance so near
yet to very far, unreachable.

A human never a god
harsh and vicious
are the gigantic trials knocking him down
Imposing.Intimidating.Haunting. Freezing
but must they be?
Must they be or should he rather
open his eyes and flee
to the flying flicks of times?

Crepuscular are the cascading days
but always they pass epiphanies.
A heart of stone melts but
from it births the human heart
who is able to choose paths which lead them
to face the world not with pride
but with humility...
