Premium Member Yesterday's Fragile Truth

Betrayal devastates your trusting heart,
severing the bonds of love from the start.
And depression slowly entraps your soul;
for disparaging lies exact their toll.

Chameleon clouds change to match your mood
by releasing tears, sad emotions brewed.
And at the crossroads of sane and insane,
your heart breaks under the weight of your pain.

A fickle Sun no longer shares its light,
sulking within shadows gathered by Night.
And feigning feelings, you struggle to cope,
for a broken heart cannot harbor Hope.

The specter of fear festering in dreams;
fuels frightening bouts of silent screams.
And at the end of the tunnel, no light,
the future is opaque, obscured by fright.

The promise of tomorrow made to youth
was written on yesterday's fragile truth.
And happiness is a wine without weight;
simply a bouquet decanted by fate.

Premium Member Food Inglorious Food

Be it known as convenience food, junk food or munchies;
whether spicy, melt-in-your-mouth soft, or crunchy,
food, inglorious food, seduces with ease
and ensnares with the emptiest of calories.

Disguised as a comfort food comes macaroni
with creamy Alfredo and kin, Fettucini,
To not be outdone, spaghetti entices
with large fattening meatballs and sauce rich in spices.

“Deep fried” knows our weakness for fat, which gives pleasure
and saturates fast foods, it seems, in great measure:
KFC (finger-licking), batter-fried fishes
and chicken fried steaks -high cholesterol dishes.

Even fruits will attack with enjoyment unhealthy
as tarts, pies or pastries. That apple is stealthy!
Veggies can also be treacherous things
in guise of corn fritters and gold onion rings.

Too much of a good thing is pizza (so cunning,
so meaty, so cheesy), which no one is shunning.
The taco, burrito, and big burger too
in great numbers descend on us. What can we do?

Those delectable luscious desserts that we eat
have only to sit there; we cannot retreat!
Candies and chocolate, our decadent sin,
sweetly defeat us. We simply give in.

Ice cream, a smooth foe, knows when we are blue.
On a cone or a spoon, it drips, waiting for you.
As a milkshake, a frosty, a sundae or float,
or between split bananas, it sure floats MY boat!

Buttered popcorn is one salty foe, and we love it!
The hot dog implores in our mouths that we shove it.
Baked bread, so alluring, entraps with its scent,
which wafts through the air as if heaven sent!

The standards of junk food -America’s pride -
crisp bacon and nachos, chips and foods fried,
invade our malls’ food courts and lurk high and low.
Their smells overwhelm us wherever we go!

We might try but we can’t make our junk food desist.
for only the health nuts can dare to resist.
In the war with inglorious food I adore,
I say, Bring it on! Here’s my plate; I want more.

The Nectars of Love

The Nectars of Love

Let your love fall, that I may wallow
Let your tears drip of inner essence
Entranced by the nectar I swallow
As I engulf and taste your presence
***
Let your beating heart keep company
The emptiness that entraps my being
I’m a string vibrating in your symphony
Forever echoing festal forever freeing
***
Intoxicated by your juices made wine
For the gods pour down their nectar
Indulging in grapes of the orchid vine
Seducing our souls a haunting specter
***
The nectars of your love are ingested
And the fluids of my heart arrested.

Minuanetta-Black Hole Beauty

 Black Hole Beauty

Stay calm my beating heart for you will enter the vastness of the void
Consumed by a blackened bestial bliss that the demons have deployed
She comes amidst the narcissistic night devouring love like a humanoid
A conqueror of time and space the light before her shall be destroyed
All hale the Queen of darkness a Shiva diva the adumbrative android

In context to the stars mitotic moons hearts of gold in dungeons dwell
Pandemic planets pray to avoid clutches of her sadomasochistic spell
Asteroids display her black heart of doom unleashed from dormant hell
With tentacles wide dominating she breaks through her shattered shell

Her bowing beauty entraps the universe and spews out a nebulous dust
The eclipse of my soul an obsession of obscurity in her crushing of crust
Into the dimness of twilight the shadows like serpents dance in disgust

Once a benevolent beauty now a sanctified seductress seducing surreal
Roaming in dimensional drifts in preparation for her next indulging meal

In her amorant annihilation death is a savior of her effulgent extinction

A terminator of trust all effervescent emotions have been employed
Rambunctious radiation the ringing of her electromagnetic bell
For within a supernova stellar mass lacking in leisured lust
You comply and conform with a begging kneel
Ruler of hearts with infinite infliction.

'...this poem is in reference to people who have had or have and suffer from a narcissistic personality disorder...quite the experience...I wish them all well...'

Premium Member Ring of Fire - Sunflower

Oh, lovely burst of fire- your tongues aflame
with splashing brilliance from your fiery glow,
you dance with a full sense of motion that
entraps the mind in a hypnotic trance.

Or is the Sun that comes into my mind
with that gold halo of your fiery ring?
Your center, molten hot with solar flares
that rise- erupt and fly within my sight.

On closer look, so clearly see you now-
     a beauty of our fields- a gem of Earth;
a gift of God’s creation that inspires-
artistic view of you- as fire and Sun.

Heart's Choice

Heart’s Choice

Caged love’s
opened door
invisible
bonds that hold you within
engaged

Freedom
in heart’s grasp
compulsory
need to be loved in turn
entraps

Released,
loving self
empowering
the heart that lives within
set free

Isolated Isle

Damn this isle of mine...
solitary awkwardness surrounds
  stifles, and strangles, and estranges
    deranges, debases, encases, entraps
      ...singing this song lonely crazy

Damn this isle of mine...
coast eroding on every side
an intense sunshine serves to blind...
surrounded by sea, yet cruelly dry
  squinting eyes and palate dies

Damn this isle of mine...
Mind gone aimless wander
  condemned goner
seeing life that flashed reckless past
  and gone...tone deaf swan song
     beats on with insensitive rhythm

Damn this isle of mine...
Ever lacking human amenities
conflicting identities murky and sly
my own private Hyde sleuths like private eyes
questioning my reason with childish perspective
  this madman my sole companion
this isle will kill me before I die

Butt Man

A boob man I could be.
Yours do titillate me,
so jiggly and bouncy.
The two of them and me,
a love triangle we.

But your butt's what sends me
skyward. My ecstasy
comes when I get to see
that vertical cleft be
creased horizontally.

Those two mounds' little 'v'
that sits like a cherry
on a Sundae ought be
against some law. A 'Pee-
ping Tom' it entraps me.

Odd parts entice. Dimply
knees charm, and those curvy
flanks get me all squeezie.
But you bent overly;
Wow! That's pure poetry.

but dare not die today
tomorrow’s a breath ‘way

shake off the darkness

one choice to be made-
stand tall; cast the fear aside
watch as light invades

Premium Member Beethovens Number 5

Trapped inside my automobile, bemused
by the sound of sirens, blaring horns and tires turning
                                faster than dreams disappear -
like wild geese flying towards the speed of light
                                   losing myself in the reverie
                                           of classical music
                                             to my delight…

                                                   Reality
no longer has her hooks in me as she
once did not long ago, when
I was still a younger lad who had all one
could possibly ask for and then some except
truth staring me straight in the eyes
as time flew by and I continued refusing to realize that
the sights and sounds of life disguise
what’s underneath the surface and the sands, lie
more loveliness and beauty than we
                                             can ever understand.

                                         While turning up the radio
                                          to Beethoven’s Number 5
the bustling traffic that entraps me
                                              makes me grateful
                                                     I’m alive.

Premium Member Koala Bay, Jervis Bay, Australia

At dawn the bay bed glows peachy yellow.
The waters above blue-green and gleaming.
Further out a grey shroud of ripples entraps the yachts
with lace nets en-snaring a flock of hulls.
Yet farther out still, the sea surface glistens and sparkles.
Then, the bay yawns and stretches, waking up, refreshed.

The first breaths of wind seep in like fingers
grabbing to get a finger hold to pull
the windy gusts in, with big blow coming.
Soon the sea is a field of grey ripples,
which grow to wavelets lipped with flecks of white spray.
Now the yachts wake up and jostle like horses
pulling at their moorings, dragging side to side.

Listen, you can hear the dash of splashes prancing
on wave crests as the winds build up in the bay.
Sea's morn color and transparency now blurred.
Dawn's calm serenity and beauty now forgotten
Koala Bay's agenda has shifted to: Up anchor, Set sail and Play
The boat skippers and crew flock bayside to make it happen.

Both sailboats and sailors love to rock and roll in bay streaked
with gusts driving white horses with jockeys wearing white caps.
Hoist the sails, drop the mooring lines, tighten the sheets.
The yachts surge forward, like race horses, with muscles and sinew straining.
They leap through the waves with leaps, bounds, thumps and jumps.
The spray flies, flung by the wind against weather beaten faces
It is noisy now, with bash and splash and skippers yelping and barking at the crew.

Koala Bay loves the performance, loves to entertain.
Tonight the bay will be calm and serene again.
Time to herald the bay's softer underbelly of shear stunning beauty.
Tomorrow the wind will conduct and conjure up another day of rollicking fun and adventure.

Merciful Mirror

Merciful Mirror

‘Merciful Mirror on the wall...what is the greatest of our fall?’

The invasion of illusion the greatest of your fervent fall
The absorption of confusion the bigotry of your brawl
The ties that bind you within a decumbent diversion
With eyes that blind you in a camouflaged conversion

In your reflective Majesty of malignant Kings and Queens
A taunting travesty behind the sabotaging smoke screens
In your collapsed cognition of a wandering wasted mind
Within the arrogance of ambition you have been confined

In moments of reason your thoughts delude in deflections
Solitudes in secretion devolving divided dissolute directions
In deep and dormant the evil entraps your scrumptious soul
In a tangled torment as perpetual puppets terminally troll

Mirrors of infinity and infatuation you must eagerly escape
Before the darkness and damnation pulls on the final drape
Within the shattered silences a delusional dimensional attack
Your vengeful viruses will mirror the world of a bridal black.

Freedom's Crow

Board fence entraps three Angus cows
who would much rather go
out and about to their content
than hear from freedom's crow.

Corralled within their space so small
constrained by pride-filled squawk
no grass of green, no grounds to graze
so here they gaze and gawk.

"Of what does SHE have to complain?"
crow hears a lowly moo.
Indignant cry spurs raven queen
to do what she can do.

She picks the pin which holds them in,
gives them the needed boost.
So free they run until the sun
invites them home to roost.

Queen Raven waiting on her pole
views "thank yous" on each face.
And when the cows have passed the gate,
she puts the pin in place.

Confession

The fox gnaws flaking muscle
From speechless rabbit, cold
In mind and body. Men shiver
As bodies dry, spat from river.

Rings of globes circle hands
Of the thoughtless, so beaten
From paths to be told of Him,
Waiting until eyes grow dim.

Walking among us is plague,
Standing above us is but love,
These winds will claw our youth
While faith entraps this truth.

Winter comes but we survive,
Breath and bones, colonies thrive.
