Heart's Choice

Heart’s Choice

Caged love’s
opened door
invisible
bonds that hold you within
engaged

Freedom
in heart’s grasp
compulsory
need to be loved in turn
entraps

Released,
loving self
empowering
the heart that lives within
set free

These are powerful verses Debra. Kind of sad in a way in all its true meaning. But now a true love never feels that need because is already in the heart free. A 7 for you!Enjoyed it! :) Love and light! xxx D.

Tears upon a tattered sleeve. A stain of love is all they leave. A gentle soul begins the past. Into a future that can't last. The heart will heal when time's erased. The stain that tears so cruelly traced. Peace. :) You capture such ethereal emotions in your poems Debra. Such beauty.
