When the quilt of stars spreads
above our heads,
And the crystals in my lover's
eyes sparkle in the forest.
Roaming hand in hand, not
knowing what is before us.
Smelling the fragrance of God's
tall, verdant trees.
Just you and I, my dearest...
Humming a peaceful song for
all of humanity.
Let's cross this tiny stream with
our beautiful feet,
On smooth rocks, that are cold
And yet softly sweet!
And, trust that in eternal peace,
We shall forever meet.

The slow motion of his gait
changes then quickens like a rainstorm--
I drop my gossamer, thin scarf unknowingly
Beguiled by such mystery,
his spell...my awe imparting an essence
of hanging anticipation.
Disquised as formless shadow or reality
I become delirious , like nymph of wind
puzzled by this sheer moment,
my curious mind invariably entranced.

From inside looking out my hourglass
I watched as nature painted winter's grass
Entranced from listening to her rhythmic rune
One April watercolor afternoon.

Without the partner
where’s the dance?
Invisible
circling the room
considering the cool
insubstantive Shallows
sizing minds,
blood coursing
through veins
fluttering hearts and feet
outside the edge
the true dance
watches pulses marking time
like metronomes
It waits in the deep
eventually instinct
cuts to the
chase
for now it remains
fixated on you
it's hungry for
entranced

it’s about learning to dance in the rain."

Tucked away in this deep raven piled high
In the warmth that it brings…
I am content…
Without thoughts or any plans I plunge back
Into the dreams that wisp me away…
I am content…
The wind howls loudly, briskly along the luminous
Outer wall, I barely hear it though as I am
Wrapped up safe and secure…
I am content…
Silk sheets, smooth and incredibly soft is all I
Feel in this hidden oasis…
I am content…
You burst
into my life
irrational as it
may be
I felt a warmth
that could
only be measured
by the depth
of it's madness.
Two hearts
beating in proximity
caused me to wonder
Do I Love in vain?
We spoke
and tried to
make sense
of all this
while we were
in a trance
of the beloved
This was written first night of my recovery from complex spinal surgery to fix my paralysis, while in ICU. Still there
.Wee Hours of a Chess Match
I have still been passing
The long, wee hours of a chess match with pain,
Unfairly played as time does not
Permit me even a lit sight
Of the board and I captain the black
Pieces with my limited vision. So,
Even at the very start, my queen was taken,
With her protecting pawn and bishop.
I am a veteran player, but
Notably cautious — unwise for this game —
And particularly with this opponent.
Pain plays no games: striking
Arteries while simultaneously
Poisoning the brain; it strikes
At the soul —hoping the soul will sink with
Christ at the call. Plus, pain uses time and
Strategies to outlast,
To which nearly unending throes of agony
Will testify. Two more of my pawns and a rook are taken.
Pain sizes up to win.
My king captures a lost bishop.
Pain calls me lucky. Observers call me
Too drowsy and my anger sharpens!
Have they no idea of the reserves needed
To calm such a battle into measured breaths?
They claim, See we saw you entranced!
No, but no! I shout. It is a supreme effort
To pacify the nerves while picks stay at
Work to unsettle them.
Another of my rooks is taken.
This is no game. The taken are slaughtered.
There are no negotiations.
The bishops are wanderers before
Even learning for whom their prayers are meant.
Each side should have a multi-directional Angel,
Due more squares than a pawn. Knights fighting for
Pain need to know what that means, so could have
A square cut from their moves. Pawns serving pain
May only run away, take no prisoners, and
Just fall over dead when passed.
”Resilience” is a password for life, not pain.
Fingerprints everywhere, coat the pieces — hopeful
Of defeating pain. Knights do little anymore,
While on earth
As in heaven, burdens are shared and halved :
The war against pain soon, soon...to ease.
Relieve. Believe.

We finally locked in trance
Zoning in our passion

She is the starry night of my dreams
I tumbled through the galaxy
Each night to find her
She breathe and I exhale her love so sweet
Waiting many, many moons for us to meet
I retreat
She sprinkled star dust landing at my feet
Strolling through moon beams
Total eclipse sightings
Waxing and waning
It feels so exciting to be
Drenched in her meteor shower.
And what if I do love someone somewhere?
So what if an Asian woman
occasionally steals my heart away,
or an Inuit maiden, a Celtic lady
or perhaps a Nigerian beauty?
I have paid my dues,
My pillows are stuffed with romantic poems.
And what if God turns out to be
a lovely female I gazed upon yesterday?
So what if I did let her walk into my imagination
just as God does
when I send Her my love letters.
She was waiting in the plaza
a breath of fresh air
graceful as could be
I sat there in the distance
couldn’t take my eyes off her
imagining that she might
be waiting for a guy like me
She slowly sipped
her coffee cup
I watched her lips
their gentle touch
And in my head I juggled
dozens of scenarios
where I would sweep
her off her feet
As time went on
I realized I’d missed my chance
and let the angel pass me by

The deafening thud
Of your beating heart
Pulsating upon my ear
A rhythm produced by
God’s will and want
The only song
I ever want to hear
"Only from the Heart you can touch the sky" Rumi
Whose heart beats entranced, as a thrumming sound
And seeks the honey of a silken kiss
In iridescent perfection he’s crowned
Whose heart beats entranced
Petals tremble cocooned in all their bliss
The nectar of love keeps us all spellbound
He flies to the sky to clouds' white abyss
As he skips to his sweethearts found around
His sweet flowers a lovers’ reminisce
Hummingbird, the whole world is your playground
Whose heart beats entranced
