Premium Member A Promise I Can'T Keep

The sun was setting with a breeze
Seductively sliding behind the trees
Watching his descent
Was quite the event
I witnessed a day to night striptease

He left me with the biggest grin
I must admit with some chagrin
Watching as he changed
Glances were exchanged
I didn't mean to embarrass him

I just kept looking straight ahead
The entire horizon turned bright red
Tomorrow at sunrise
I'll apologize
Promising next time to turn my head

Premium Member Shyness

I'm young with no identity,
A faceless boy, alone and shy.
To classmates, a nonentity;
My parents fret and wonder why.

I'm part of the unnoticed pack.
I step aside as others pass.
To be alone, I sit in back
And never volunteer in class.

I cannot dance or speak on stage
And hate to pose for photographs.
From social scenes I disengage
Avoiding bullies' taunts and laughs.

Uncaring, they my spirit crush.
At lunch I have no company.
I shrink from hugs and tend to blush
And dirty jokes embarrass me.

I dread the days we swim at school
And shower with the other boys.
I try, but nothing 'bout me's cool.
I lack both confidence and poise.

I'm frightened by the internet
Where vicious rumors often spread.
There mockery's a constant threat
While thoughts of vengeance fill my head.

The girls and jocks just walk on by.
They're unaware that I exist.
No welcome waves or friendly "Hi."
I'm seventeen and not been kissed.

The popular comprise a clique
Where bolder boys have fun and flirt.
Among my peers, I'm seen as weak,
And girls avoid an introvert.

The meek inherit all the earth.
That's what the Bible verse asserts.
But while alive, we've little worth.
We're targets for disdain and hurts.

Tomorrow's graduation day.
This high school torment will have passed.
When college life gets under way,
I hope for friends and peace at last.

The Empty Tissue Box

My heart was in such pain
I felt like I was going to go insane
I just don't know what to do
And my eyes full of tears that distort my view

I fell to my knees and felt the urge
My muscle tighten and pin needles struck me like a surge
My body was warm and with feelings so confused
My mind felt sadness had fused

I could not conquer my fears
I just sat down and fell into tears
When some close to you passes on
It felt like a warmth has gone

So I raised my hand towards a box that was empty with no tissue
I first was embarrass and had a little bit of issue
All my friends hugged me and said sorry for your loss
So now I cry in my bed and toss

From My Lips To Santa's Ears

Santa, I have an important request.
Please don't embarrass me with ho ho hos.
If you'd looked at my face you might have guessed.
I'm serious about fixing my nose.

I can sense you are stifling your laughter.
Your bowl full of jello, nicely restrained.
Proboscis happily ever after,
Would not appear that it's been candy caned.

Hire a team of rhinoplasty surgeons.
I create damaging winds with this thing.
Like the limb of an oak tree it burgeons.
Just yesterday a blue jay perched to sing.

Hurry, Dear Santa, its growth won't abate.
Go talk to Rudolph, as he can relate.

***********************************

There may be some problems I must address.
Lies emitted from hole under my snout.
Pains me Santa, I readily confess.
Please be patient as I utter these out.

I lied to Sonya about her red dress.
Made her butt dwarf a Volkswagen fender.
I lied to the postman, my home address.
Marked the water bill "Return To Sender".

I fibbed a little to co-worker, Sue.
Her peanut butter cookies smelled like feet.
But tell me, what the heck was I to do?
I wrapped and hid it in a slice of meat.

Santa, I am a serial liar.
Instead of my pants, set my nose on fire.

***********************************

I'll do better if button nose gifted.
I promise to be more a straight shooter.
A smaller nose, my spirits be lifted.
Seriously, would you want this hooter?

The fibs I told did no permanent harm,
But if you would like I can change all that.
Who "nose"? I may lose my personal charm.
If I tell my friend Sonya she is fat.

If you leave money in an envelope,
I'll pay the water bill before it's due.
I can rub Sue's cookies with fragrant soap.
For a nose job, I will eat one or two.

Santa, I know you smell something is rot.
But I am here to assure you, it's snot.

Premium Member Head of the Class

My heart sank, her buttery sweet voice
summoning me to the front of the class
I stood there chalk in hand, with my shoulders slumped
The question she asked, for the answer she already knew
She chose not to teach, but rather to embarrass me
I was not a welcome guest, Hallowed Halls of learning didn't seem to fit
I stared emotionless at a blackboard covered in white chalk dust
Laughter filled the room until I could shrink no further
Oh how I wished I could disappear, escape to my place of daydreams
Then the teacher called on one of her special ones
The girl with perfect clothing, a perfect smile, she was the apple of teachers eye
That favoured girl removed the chalk and burden from my hand
Red faced, I returned slowly to my place of shame
I sat there in my wooden desk, with my blue eyes turned down

Perfectly put in my place at the head of the class!

i sit here on the toilet
looking at the cane by my side
when did this happen?

its pronged feet could, at any moment,
scamper into a tidal pool, so much does it
remind me of a robotic crab

my mornings now consist of pills, shuffling
to the next room to pour cereal
then work up a **** before I can
leave the house
When did this happen?

bodily functions take priority as
I can no longer trust this body not
to embarrass me in public
when did this happen?

my knees are shot to hell
my bowels rumble and twist
my arthritis tears at me with sharp little teeth
my vision is perfect, cataracts
blasted away by another robot
when did this happen?

the other day my mind went on a holiday
leaving me behind, confused and blank,
 frightened
is this a harbinger of what’s to come
when did this happen?

Men

Silly thoughts are a
mans best friend
How they embarrass
themself without end
Falling all over
themself you see
Leave us all laughing
with glee
Foolish at times how
they speak
Clamoring for some
attention they seek
Leave us to just shake
 our heads
When to women the
same line is fed

This was written for Aaliya and
her first year of high school! How
the boys want to try to talk to her
and say the same things to other girls!;)

The Song of a Pleading Heart

Curse you! Oh! The river of time,
Why should you be so cruel
And embarrass your beautiful chime?
Why should you bring her carriage,
To ruin the song of love,
To ruin a beautiful marriage?

O' Princess of the stars,
Don't go so soon away,
What does this land lack,
So plenty in the distant stars far away?
The Mononoke may still be standing high,
Waiting for her next prey,
Let her sleep,
For she will be tired
Of all the standing.
Let us sing the song of love,
For it will be a sin to leave it unfinished.

O' Princess of the stars,
Let the river of nebula be born from your hands,
Where we shall sail in a land,
Where reality and dreams meet,
Let each colour touch me,
As they touch you,
Let your song echo through the galaxies
For eternity,
Let time become futile,
Let its river dry out,
Let us sail for eternity,
Let us be lost and be found again as stars,
Stars of eternal youth, with stories of love to tell.....

A Poem I'M Going To Write

This poem will certainly be a big hit
I'm throwing everything I've got and more into it
All the bells all the whistles all my poetic tricks
Rolling up my sleeves, into my open palm I will spit

This poem I'm pulling out all of the stops
Remove the plug at the bottom, raise the roof at the top
Fill in the middle with all that I've got
Blowing it all on the entire lot

This poem will either make me or break me
Lose me or save me, I'm thinking maybe
They'll love me or hate me, all want to date me
In Mardi Gras beads they'll want to drape me

This poem will embarrass all the other poems
Because this one poem will have it all going on
From the time it's conceived to the moment it's born
All other poems will concede to it's throne

This poem may even bring on the end
All the poets of today will turn in their pens
They'll be to afraid to write anything
As it will be the blue print to how a poem's written

Now that last thoughts got me thinking that it shouldn't be wrote
As it being the only poem is a scary thought
And how this single poem could yield so much power
I'd be crazy to set it free to dispose and devour

All this poem could do has really opened my eyes
So on second thought I'm not going to write
I'll lock up that thought shut the door tight
Another poem at this time I'll just have to find...

Fool For You In Love

You look at me and mostly see
The simplest of clowns
Acting out the fool in all I do
Whenever you're around

Not just the nose that's red of course
As I embarrass myself too much
Trying to empress with what little I have
This fool for you in love

With the atmosphere of Circus here
I pull out all the stops
Imagine me in Center Ring
Giving it all I've got

A clown that hopes you love bad jokes
And can not get enough
Taking that thought all the way to the Big Top
This fool for you in love

Juggling with all my might this crazy life
To bring you closer to me
The Greatest Show on Earth for all we're worth
Anyone has ever seen

With painted smile mile after mile
Not resting till I'm done
All a part of me you can clearly see
This fool for you in love

Premium Member Time for another silly rhyme

Aged chains are hampering me.
They get heavier constantly.

Age changes everything,
Voices crackle, making it hard to sing.

Walking and talking become a chore,
The conversation is a bore.

When the subjects get too deep
Old-aged folk tend to fall asleep.

Mumbling softly under their breath
They often gasp, scaring guests to death.

When they lay with open mouth
They do not realise their teeth went south.

This state of affairs could cause them to dribble,
It may embarrass some, but to old folk, this is trivial.

Getting old may make one sad,
But after all is said and done, it's not all bad.

How lucky old folk are to be still alive,
To have lived a long life and survived.

Father Time has passed us by
We aged folk should not moan or cry.

We should be gracious and thankful, too,
And hope that life will be kind to you.

Trusting future generations will be healthy and strong,
And be gifted with a life that's happy and long.

The story of Granddaughter Lily
By Franklin Price
4/14/2015

The story of granddaughter Lily
Is one I feel compelled to tell
Of talent that revealed itself
Really from the starting bell

At her birth and I was there
Entered the stage oh what a sight
Star of the show she was that day
A prelude to this Friday night

Precocious as a growing child
Entertaining was her thing
If one or more were in her view
Never missed a chance to dance and sing

Then came the play in seventh grade
Pirates of Penzance the name
Tried out for the leading role
And so began her school play game

We were there and cheering proudly
She sang and acted as a pro
At the end applauding loudly
We hugged her neck said way to go

The years have flown since way back then
She has performed in song and dance
Lily a high school senior now
Curtains in the Pirates of Penzance

We will be there to watch the show
Grandparents cannot stay away
We'll clap and cheer embarrass her
Celebrate this final high school play

I know this will not be the last
For entertainment is her thing
On to college and on from there
Excited to see what life will bring

Premium Member A Lighter Touch

It's a matter of pressure, the weight of exchange
Affection we share now, in a different ballgame
I won't leave you red faced, embarrass, or shame
Tho' my impulse commands to squeeze you the same
But your school chums are watching, so I keep arms restrained

You've been climbing the ladder, to your middle school days
And I'll admit that the changes are much harder for me
Than for you who resolves to grab hold to each year
And wear them like badges, on your way to be free

My cherub remembered, is no prize you would own
Yet my feelings, regardless, are the same as before
When I rocked you, my baby, how I cherished dark nights
I never once pondered, how soon wings take flight

I would cradle and hold you, my lips on your cheek
I sang nursery stories, and called you my sweet
The world of surprises with each passing while
As you wander a tightrope, between a man and the child

So I hug you now gently, I must stifle my gushing
But the touch of you fills me with rushes of longing
I can’t swallow you whole, like I did long ago
But the love hasn’t changed, and the touch is much lighter
But the love is the same , we both know it, somehow…

Phagoctsis and Mitochondria

I leave school when I was seven
So I don’t have much education
 Always use my commonsense
To help me in life’s situations

But it never bothered me before
 My bad grammar and spelling
Because even when I make mistakes
You still understand my story telling

But since I meet this girl
Was Like a few days ago
I been trying to impress her
With some big words I didn’t know

She has a PhD, doctor of philosophy
 Studying psychology, biology, Biotechnology
 Also botanology, criminology, climatology
 And astrology, archeology .meteorology

So when she asks what I do
I was to embarrass to say
That I write poems and stories
And post on face book everyday

So I ask her how the weather is
And I try to change the subject
But I know the next time I see her
She won’t let me get out of it

So I search on Google whole night
 Also Bing, yahoo. And Wikipedia
I see lots of words I don’t under stand
 Like phagoctsis and mitochondria

Well I wake all night researching
To find out the meaning of it all
I learn its some kind of DNA cell
To function in plants and animal

Man I really want to impress her
Because I really like this girl a lot
But Sunday when I her under a tree
Every thing I memorize I forgot

But she was reading a book
A book of poems by kaz Ishmael
But she didn’t t know it was me
Because it had no picture in the profile

She said “suicide letter “is sad but romantic
She didn’t know that true love still exist
And she’s not impressed with educations
She just wants to be love like this

So I lay on the grass beside her
And tell her my complete life story
And today we are getting marry
In the presence of god and our family

When you find love its really amazing
And true love will never die
We are off to our honey moon now
Time to end this poem and say good bye
