A Promise I Can'T Keep

The sun was setting with a breeze
Seductively sliding behind the trees
Watching his descent
Was quite the event
I witnessed a day to night striptease

He left me with the biggest grin
I must admit with some chagrin
Watching as he changed
Glances were exchanged
I didn't mean to embarrass him

I just kept looking straight ahead
The entire horizon turned bright red
Tomorrow at sunrise
I'll apologize
Promising next time to turn my head

This is so cute! A striptease, eh? Well... what do you know... who can view a sunset the same ever again? Good one.

Such a clever turn of phrase, Daniel The horizon blushing with embarrassment. I’ll never look at sunset in quite the same way….LOL SuZ

Cute Limerick Daniel. Sometimes you run across someone at an inopportune time and both are a little embarrassed. Nice job. God Bless, JB

Even though I know this was about the sun giving you a striptease, I'm turning bright red. (I'm smiling and blushing, all at the same time). Such a fun limerick. A bit naughty, but hey, it's written in a tasteful way. I love everything about this. My best to you, Daniel. :) Hugs, Brandy

Why did you watch the sun striptease, making him embarrassed and letting him turn red? Next time when he does so, please turn your head away. Quite a hilarious limerick, Daniel

If the sun strips, what tricks does the moon? Silly rabbit. A bawdy & sweet , a new experience for the limerick world. Who needs Potd, we're all here! You are very "fummy" Hope you are well, Danny.
