Best Element Poems
It took place shortly after and the stage was set
before words before ink before heavenly breath
There was a rain on the parade
of eternal monotony
and the angels were elated
In the Beginning God created... the verse everyone knows
tantalizing phrasing that leaves you on your tip-toes
before grass before plants before earthly foes
And the earth was without form... (and talk about void!)
It was there when it was all lightning and storm:
chaos untamed in watery upheaval,
though the celestial walls were impermeable
Enough disarray to make a grown man weep
And darkness was over the surface of the deep...
It was there before it was given the title: Sea
Before light was birthed with a "Let there be"
Blanketing the earth with cerulean comfort
in preparation for ethereal tickles,
despair happy to take her wings
And the Spirit of God was hovering...
Like a golden eagle dipping down
into azure pools
knowing mountains will soon rise from your depths
... but LOVE is the requisite
... and HOPE is the heart of it
Just like the weather that's about to hit the scene,
before Pangaea performs in emerald green
... and there was morning the Second Day
Can you not hear your doubts just wash away?
---remember what happened on the Third?
I'm sure you do---
As you see Him reaching down with liquid love for you,
longing to invigorate your being
He wants to split you in half
as the Rod of Moshe
made watery walls of crystallization
He longs to enter into your towering trust
(and not just on occasion)
For sometimes the Water of Life is dramatic
Sometimes it's not
And sometimes your fears could use a little irrigation
(right now your eyes could use
a bit of prayerful precipitation)
Remember the ruby water that dripped down
the Face of the Son
that fateful day
Drink it in Become full
Indulge in humble hydration
Your heart will tell you what you should
And behold it was very good...
NOTE: Moshe is the Hebrew rendering of the name Moses.

RACISM, A DISASTROUS ELEMENT
I look at the world horrifically,
With depression and disgust,
As the masses enjoys in poverty
And fear.
I look at the world horrifically.
Every places, full of stratification,
And unlawful massacre of people.
Hmmm! What a cruel universe!
I look at the world horrifically.
Yesterday, raping and killing,
Today, racism,
Tomorrow, i guess something deadly and disastrous.
I look at the world horrifically.
Segregation among the whites,
Segregation among the blacks.
Weirdest part, segregation between the black and the whites.
I look at the world horrifically,
Stratification among the blacks, i called "tribalism ".
Hatred, i called among the whites.
Disunity rules.
I look at the world horrifically,
As our ancestors in great slumber.
With no hope of fortune.
Crying, segregation of the highest bidder.

Earth element of wind, elusive to exploring eyes,
a gaseous, gusty ghost, she gyrates- gallops gallantly.
She bashes, bends, and bobs the branches of each bush and tree,
and chases, circles, curls dry fallen leaves so agilely.
We hear her bellow, bawl, and bluster when she's feeling fierce;
soft sounds of swishing, stirring- sighing when serene and tame.
With solid, staunch, and strapping strength, she soon can shift a house
within a raucous, raging, raving, reckless, hurricane.
She cools, controls, composes in the sultry summer heat,
forms wild and wheeling waves with whitecaps on the widespread sea;
a force that's fearless, frantic, sometimes, feeble- frail, she flies,
impermanent, intangible, she soars invisibly.
This ghastly glimmer of great ghostly gumption rushes by,
a force that is not sculpture, shadow, silhouette, or shape.
We feel and hear her apt and awesome atmospheric breath-
until she plans her fast, flirtatious, feathery escape.

Earth
(an acrostic Tanka)
Emeralds, rubies,
And sapphires once buried in
Rocky crevices
Thanklessly ripped from Mother -
Her trampled heart beats bleakly.

Since a small child, I have been one with Earth,
Green winding tendrils have captured my very heart;
I would follow my father with innocent mirth,
A love for nature and earth was my start.
And into the deep, earthy green we would journey,
I still hike forests and feel the connection;
Meandering I caress the green, mossy and ferny,
I often drop to my knees for a better inspection.
Fallen leaves and flora of the forest decay,
Feeding the soil and make it strong and fertile;
Wildflowers grow reaching and I gather a bouquet,
And hidden in the undergrowth is a turtle.
All in life depends on the earth and its health,
We must all protect what we have for the future;
It is more important than possessions or wealth,
Into the green I go for tranquility to capture.

“Wind, the continuous movement of Air is the link between all realms & dimensions carrying every form of communication from musical quarks to the sounds of silence”. Poet
Wind, Angelic Air ! Beloved of my Sun sign
I listen to bellows pounding sea rock boulders
circling my spine in sharp dagger kisses divine
I listen to you penetrating my marrow
swirl icy chiming voice through mottled skin
pulling hair, fingering throat uncensored ….
my parched lips open as you rip dry logs
to hear red ants scattering into darkened holes
trolls vacantly watch wind arms across my shoulders
I hold dripping amber, as you raucous relay
score, hungry vultures and swallows chorus adore
I walk songs, you unbutton word flames refraining
dead locusts fall in wind tone lyrics whirling
Beloved ! be still that I may touch your bosom
feel cold notes ripple between your crescendos
stroke your quavers, obedient to your baton
soul bowing to your transmuting crotchets
all I hear as you settle into playful breezes
a teasing drama complete, is “I Love You” !
We come into this world, kicking and screaming, like boisterous butterfly birth.
We have nothing to our names, but flesh and bone that bear witness, of Element Earth.
Copper granules mixed with sunshine and water (amalgamations like boy meets daughter)
an investment that pays off with emerald leaves -
the earth is pure potential that the angel's weave into little yous and little mes
(let's not take grace for granted and make the great father grieve)
... rather let's step up to the plate with dirt beneath our nails and heaven in our eyes.
Everything I've learned, from dreary dreams, tell me it's not a time for sleep, but a time to rise.
For we are made of Element Earth, formed as stewards for the planet
from just a whisper and lumps of granite.
Who can measure our worth? (except the ethereal esophagus)
Are we blessed or are we cursed --- dreaming of sarcophagus.
We are doomed to fade!
We are destined to bloom!
(in this big universe I believes there's room
for me and you and everyone)
But pure potential - though essential - is hard to tame.
What kind of earth are you?
The acorn seed, buried deep, with lovely dreams of growing,
or the famous statue, The Thinker, whom contemplates knowing.

Unorthodox, this water- bearer rules,
an Aquarian god moody yet calm in the
face of persistent winds…his pail of wine
gushing on mouths of February streams,
like an outpour into first night’s cycle
of unpredictable moves, reigning like
a prince-in-waiting, this heir
from brazen garnet stars:
Oh, his vision is light years ahead of time;
breaking from clasps of tradition,
his maverick streaks defy life's norms
and while he dives into a crest of independence,
fool he is for needing warmth and affection.
Yet,a blend of hermit's pride and gentleness
dares the element of air to brew a storm,
then romances the lusty sea of love in a flash...
pray tell, how can one define a mystery?

In a world where life gets so hurried
I just want to take a minute to love
Every element of you
It’s in the way you look at me
Like it is just the two of us in the world
I want to see that look forever
In the times when you have to leave
In the times I wish you didn’t have to leave
In the moments
When life gets rough
When I yearn for your touch
I want to unapologetically love
I want to genuinely love
Every element that makes you; you

Pulses of earth caressing my heart
I feel each grain as if hourglass sand.
Rhythm of life ticking from birth to depart
Cultures softly tinged by the soul of the land.
I hear the call of a presence borne of the past
Echoes of bounty rebound in this world.
Harmonies vibrate, of land ample and vast
Then a warning of future madness unfurled.
I see creation and nurture as they mingle in soil
Seasons reflect within earth’s precise hue.
Figures of mountains implying peace and turmoil
Mysteries are hinted amidst historic old clues.
Lingering scents drift of insatiable dreams
Tastes of the landscape, enrich and contrast.
Cycles and motion of existence and schemes
Undeniable connections, to earth are steadfast.
Cleansed and absorbing I open my eyes
Dirt still caresses and quivers my skin.
Few understand, of land and mans’ ties
Of middles and ends, yet a scene to begin.
Element of Earth
Oh, Element of Earth, true gift
of solid mass on which we stand;
with gravity forced by your spin,
stability is well at hand.
You are the womb that births our needs:
the fertile soil from which we're fed,
to shelter from your lofty trees...
and place to rest when life has ebbed.
You are Earth mother we hold dear
that cradles all upon your crust.
Dense elements you gift to us
like crystals, diamonds and gold dust.
Dear mother Earth, so great you are;
with Sun and Moon, you are a team.
Held fast in our great galaxy...
Earth element, you reign supreme.
Upon your sphere, we live our lives;
all that we need will come from you.
Both you and we came from the stars;
we are connected through and through.

Water sinks in me,
Helps flush the pain, so yet deep—
Made a heart for storms,
Its mild poise or stagnant play—
Dries in growth— willful, it stays.
Aether is the fabric of our universe -
Tiny granules that transfer energy
In the form of waves ~~~
This goes on unseen constantly!
It propagates light and other waves,
Longitudinal and transverse
( Or electromagnetic )
Right across the universe!
Aether stretches far beyond
The laws of physiology!
Did you know that Aether
Is also a god in Greek Mythology?
In chemistry, it is flammable.
It is used as an anaesthetic.
It's a solvent used in industrial processes -
Google it ~ this knowledge is authentic!
But at the same time,
It's a word that is seldom heard,
Most people have better luck,
Deciphering the songs of a bird!
But today, 'Aether' was on my list,
To master and triumph,
As if it was a fifth wish!
Oh, the gravity of this situation,
Like cosmic forces similar to Shakti,
I feel that I have learned so much,
Should I be yelling out 'Yahtzee'?!?
The king of the classical elements;
Earth, Air, Water and Fire...
Aether bends and amends our universe,
To be the most desired!

Tendrils twist and dance, guiltless, unblamed,
getaway vehicle, of the flame-
uncharged of previous transpyre, that's your game.
Like a serpent you shed your skin of the shame
of the red-handed fire.
You greasy sleaze, you leave yourself lingering,
advertising yourself on the byways,
but coy- like a transmitted disease.
Perhaps Prometheus will give you a place to lay low
till things cool down.
Maybe Haefestus knows what to do with your sort.
I think you should go to Hades,
for swaying every which way the wind blows,
you two faced liar.
But wouldn't it also be fitting if you went back to Aphrodite's Temple and returned to those
choking on the burnt offerings-
of their lust-
choking out true desire.
