Words are just darts thrown toward meaning.
In a linguistic dance, they find their gleaming
With every utterance, their aim takes flight.
Seeking understanding, conquering the night
But with atrocity on their hands, they agreed,
Words have the power to induce hearts to bleed.
Each syllable is a weapon, sharp and true.
Words can build bridges or tear them in two.
In this world of language, where battles are fought,
Words hold the key to the lessons we're taught.
They can heal wounds or inflict eminent pain.
They can inspire love or drive us insane.
Yet, words are just darts thrown toward meaning.
Often missing their mark, often careening.
Can be twisted, misunderstood, lost in translation,
Landing in hearts with a different vibration.
But still, we wield them, hoping to convey
The depths of our thoughts, the emotions at play
We string them together, akin to pearls on a thread.
Crafting stories, poems, and songs to be said
Words are our canvas, our palette, our brush,
Painting pictures of joy, sorrow, and hush.
They can capture a moment, freeze it in time,
Or transport us to places, worlds so sublime.
Stress
My hearts pounding
A steady thrum
That's drawing closer
A pain in my chest
With every single breath.
Stress
My hair is falling,
It pulls out in my hands
I cry as it wraps
around my fingers
with every strand.
When iconic lines in classic
movies have been changed
And our world feels a bit
upside down and rearranged,
When all you thought you knew
seems wrong in memory,
The stars have moved to places
where they shouldn't be,
When you look for certain things
you can no longer find
"I don't think we're in Kansas
anymore, Toto" comes to mind.
The lion's become a 'wolf' laying
down with the lamb (in the Good Book)
You don't need to believe me,
with your own eyes (have a look)
This is what happens when CERN
messes with our Time lines
Even our names can be changed
in what reality defines.
Sally Fields became Sally Field,
now just how can that be?
Nelson Mandela effects can
change ev'ry possibility.
Mirror, mirror is now
magic mirror on the wall...
But it doesn't seem to bother
some of you at all.
Well I am up in arms at all
the changes being made.
Soon, from our minds, the
original words will just fade.
Land masses can move, and
some islands can disappear
They have changed on all the
maps, and that's quite clear.
Your memory has not failed you
as you might believe
We must stop CERN now or
regret the wrath they'll achieve.

I know Curious George had a tail because my kids
used to love his adventures. His tail is completely missing now.
The 'lion' and the lamb has been changed to a 'wolf' in Isaiah 11:6
King James Version (KJV) and in NIV...all versions I found
along with many other disturbing changes to other scriptures.
I believe there have been something like twelve thousand changes
(don't quote me on the exact amount). Check out the

The luscious, long, green grass
Sways and sweeps and flows.
How far, how fast this wind will travel,
No one really knows!
This same wind could stir up
Whirls and waves in all seas.
This powerful force makes nature dance.
Our senses this does please.
Though it can be disruptive
On a minor or major scale,
It can uproot trees, tear roofs off houses,
It can delay or prevent sails...
It still has its boundaries.
This can be assuring to all, to me and you.
We can't see the wind,
But it's effects are in plain view.
Sometimes this wind teases us,
Playing with our hair,
Or has us swatting at thistles and leaves,
Flying through the air.
The wind can also be so kind,
To tell us our coffee's hot.
Or to move our rude cigar,
From it's blowing spot.
Wind can be a gentle reminder,
To put on our kid's jacket,
Or to lower our voice,
During a downwind racket.
It is always there soft or strong,
And never with a hue, that is...
We can't see the wind,
But it's effects are in plain view.

After fifty years plus my old friend
could take years till he gets on the mend,
when he's testerone free
he'll be harder to see,
but, also much easier to bend.
As the side effects continue to evolve
there is a problem I still have to solve,
for when i'm all alone
in the libido-free zone
I find it difficult to stiffen my resolve.
As I sit here, I listen to the words I try so hard to, but cannot block out,
How is it that I have not experianced enough ridicule In Elementary school,
Why is it that I must experiance it again after so long, with no reason of it at all,
I sit on the bus, and sit in my class and do not look over at their floating voices,
Laughing at me and my misfortune, though the words they say are complete falsitiys,
I try to focus on anything I can, and block out the other voices, that swim within my head,
They whisper bad thoughts to me, to hurt him, and everyone else,
They put senarios into my mind, of bringing guns into school,
I hide my tears, within my empty eyes, and never look towards them,
Why do they not realise that the quiet ones are the most dangerous,
I dont want to be like this, I want to forebade these thoughts to go,
Do not come hither, and speak with serpants tongues into my ears,
I want to remove these images of watching their life leave their mortal casings,
I dont want to feel these things, but all I want right now, is to curl up in a ball and cry...
The streets have become lonely
Days have gone quieter
Gone are the days when kids would play until dusk
With joyful sounds that rejoiced their mothers and fathers
Distancing themselves from substance abuse.
Our generation is lost
Our schools have been abandoned
Our homes are desolate
Substance abuse rules our nation.
We weep for the future is dark and dull
Dreams and hopes have been murdered
Buried by the blood intoxicated with drugs
While veins pulsate with alcohol.
Young lives are shuttered
Young lives are gone
Our generation is lost
Our nation perishes
Thank you substañce abuse, surely you are proud.
she told me she was living with cancer
not dying from it and she would beat it
sometimes people don't realize the promises
they are making when they make them
worry is another side effect of dying
she was a gift, a rare and fragile flower
who gave me something important
but all salvation is temporary
part of me went with her when she died
but more of her stayed with me
as our stars have crossed
the thing about pain is
that it demands to be felt
I tell myself to live my best life today
because of her
Failure is with us every day
telling us to go for it on fourth and one;
more and more that’s done;
we listen to failure smiling cynically
as he whispers temptations in our ears.
You’d recognize the guy,
You’ve seen him lingering near,
first cousin to Mayhem on TV,
there’s a strong family resemblance.
But forewarnings don’t enhance
self-protective good sense
for the lot of us hooked on football games
as we urge our favorites on
to one more squeeky win
as the clock runs down to zero zed.
It’s just the same with soccer fans.
C’mon man! What more do you need
to recognize Failure’s hold?
You saw the game: that field goal
that hit the pole and then bounced off
the crossbar inches short of a score
was Failure giving us, all of us, the finger.
So now you’re an Eagle fan?
Take heed, man, Failure will linger.
Can downed Eagles hibernate? Bears can!
Sitting in his kingdom of endless riches
A man amused by material wishes
An infinite need for more and more
With limits on splurging most often ignored
But when one’s mind is ruled by a greed,
Trust cannot exist, because sin exceeds
Friends and family, nowhere to be found
Resistance to help, leaving lives on the ground
In the end, loneliness conquers his reign
Sitting in his kingdom of endless pain.
Free of the worries that modern day brings,
Like falling in love and buying new things
I lay in a realm of riches, content
Blind of the day, everlasting descent
My wife closely follows, shadowing me
With love and affection, dear Ann Marie
But distracted by that which glitters gold
Smiling, I gaze at the treasures I hold
Desire, infectious, inside it grows
Like an addiction that can’t be disposed.
Now, love isn’t seen as a priority
Instead, currency is my authority
With days that I spend on shopping sprees
Staying homebound does not come with ease
Clutched so tight, I cannot let it go
A craving for spending the money I own
Obsessed with the color, shades of green
Infatuated by my jade bloodstream
Pumps to my ravenous heart, so it seems
Leaving me greedy in powerless dreams
Escorted by luxury items and clothes
And though I want more I shall never dispose
Merely watching my inventory grow
Is this desire a friend or a foe?
For dispersed from my sickness, I sense worry
As those around me leave in a hurry
Attached to possessions held in my hand
Solitude calls me, alone I will stand
Who needs companions, untrustworthy friends
Money is abundant to me, free of ends
Forget those who leave, I’m all that I need
Apart from my beautiful Ann Marie
I love her so dearly, but where’s she been?
Viewing my love for money as a sin
Sightless I seemed, avoiding her love
When money and treasures were all I spoke of
Her heart must have obviously ached enough
A quick getaway, without even a bluff
A silent escape to isolate me
Alone in this mansion, alone I will be.
In a quiet night
I heard voices from above
I did not know for sure
where they came from
I thought
they might hail from heaven
or hell
I hesitated for a second
and would not care about such thing no longer
Then I supposed
perhaps the voices were just sound effects
which had gone to other worlds
and came back to us
somewhere, sometime.
Who knows?
Swelling waters rage across the land;
two foot, three, four…water-tantrum’s take their toll;
capturing houses and cars.
The collection grows with every storm.
Tempests wage their war on unsuspecting trees and crops;
limbs whirl about the airways. frantically.
Four legged’s seek the higher ground for, safety’s sake;
hurricane is a non-discriminatory beats;
attacking everyone and everything in its path.
Whirling, swirling wind-tops, cut through land, neighborhoods, cities and forests;
flinging debris like a child throwing a temper-tantrum.
A spoiled brat in a rage.
Land will renew with time, cities will be re-built and birds will populate woods,
forests and parks once again; provided that,
hurricane tantrum does not repeat itself, too soon.
Nature’s children can be fussy and destructive to,
people who upset the natural balance of things.
Everything that exists has a purpose;
from the cockroach to the human.
When each does it’s part, a balance is achieved.
Kill the rats off and the pests that feed off of them;
infect dogs, cats, livestock and even homes.
Frack-crack the earth’s crust-to-the-core and
tectonic plates slide too far;
carcinogens flood water and wetlands;
killing off billions of lives.
Man, mammal, bird and fish…all gone.
Obliterate the trees and you obliterate oxygen;
obliterate oxygen and you…extinguish all life.
The human beast has, an uncanny ability to do as,
they please; never considering the consequences of,
their actions.
It’s so easy to blame nature’s other children for,
human carelessness and mistakes;
Preaching about responsibility while avoiding it.
I heard that Big Pharma's got
so much money in their greedy little hands,
that they are buying up hugh chunks
of property across the land,
one of them in particular,
a popular honeymoon tourist attraction,
located on the NY Canadian border,
where honeymooners like to gather,
the men there getting hooked
on a little blue pill,
which they take on their honeymoon,
when they feel the gumption to,
side effects being, high blood pressure,
headaches, stomach pain, diarrhea,
nausea and looking like an awry railroad
crossing malfunction,
they take it nonetheless,
hoping and praying for the best,
which is what Big Pharma wanted all along,
so they now changed the tourist attraction name,
on behalf of one of their best sellers,
going from Niagra to Viagra Falls
thanks to all the guinea pig fellas!
Vasodilative
disproportionality:
Somnambulation.
Life is tough, and pain's a part of it,
yet so is love; thus, balance is met.
But scales can tip, depending on how
much weight you assign to each tear wept.
Afraid to challenge reality,
you're filled with anxiety and fright.
Yet fear is but a phantom shadow
that once exposed, quickly fades from sight.
Hope realigns confused, scattered thoughts;
rooting out doubt so love can survive.
And imbues your heart with its magic;
keeping fantasies and dreams alive.
Sadness, suffered in the name of love,
is bared from places the heart protects.
And a world of sensations awake;
with unavoidable side effects.
Numbing the pain of love's betrayal,
time, erases feelings of regret.
And tethers trust and hope to your heart,
like in Romeo and Juliet.
