Notes About The Poem

Mandela Effects

When iconic lines in classic 
movies have been changed
And our world feels a bit 
upside down and rearranged,
When all you thought you knew 
seems wrong in memory,
The stars have moved to places 
where they shouldn't be,

When you look for certain things 
you can no longer find
"I don't think we're in Kansas 
anymore, Toto" comes to mind.
The lion's become a 'wolf' laying 
down with the lamb (in the Good Book)
You don't need to believe me, 
with your own eyes (have a look)

This is what happens when CERN 
messes with our Time lines
Even our names can be changed 
in what reality defines.
Sally Fields became Sally Field, 
now just how can that be?
Nelson Mandela effects can 
change ev'ry possibility.

Mirror, mirror is now 
magic mirror on the wall...
But it doesn't seem to bother 
some of you at all.
Well I am up in arms at all 
the changes being made.
Soon, from our minds, the 
original words will just fade.

Land masses can move, and 
some islands can disappear
They have changed on all the 
maps, and that's quite clear.
Your memory has not failed you 
as you might believe
We must stop CERN now or 
regret the wrath they'll achieve.

I know Curious George had a tail because my kids 
used to love his adventures. His tail is completely missing now.

The 'lion' and the lamb has been changed to a 'wolf' in Isaiah 11:6 
King James Version (KJV) and in NIV...all versions I found
along with many other disturbing changes to other scriptures.

I believe there have been something like twelve thousand changes
(don't quote me on the exact amount). Check out the

I did by title, name and title, and all is a fat goose chase. I bet it took me a half hour to find. Connie Marcum Wong April 28, 2019 at 4:05 AM I am sorry about you having trouble finding it. I used to have it titled N M effects but changed it some time ago to Mandela Effects. Everyone I speak to remembers many of the changes the way I do. Sally Fields name which has now changed to Field. It is interesting that her brother works at Cern. I have proof her name was Fields. It was on T.V. spelled that way in chalk on a clapboard in a test for Gidget No one mentioned it. Contd.

Edlynn Nau April 16, 2019 at 1:04 PM I loved the poetry value here but completely disagree with the conclusion. Wrote a rebuttal but no matter how many times I revised it, it was too long. People are afraid of CERN like they were afraid of Galileo‘s telescope. Dimensions on the quantum level are not the same as the Sci Fi 3D depiction. Andrea Dietrich July 13, 2018 at 5:10 PM Connie, I found it. It was not all that long ago you had written it. I should have been able find it that first time I looked. I really like how you wrote yours. Seeing it again, I think you captured more the overall picture, by mentioning geography and Bible . I asked an Australian if New Zealand had always been where it is today. He acted as If I were crazy!! Not too many people are aware of this but I did hear someone on a talk show speak of it, but the host was clueless so they changed the subject. Thanks for hunting for it. I found an old T.V. commercial that said Home Depot...but they claim it has always been called "The Home Depot". Go figure....

Yes, I have thought a few times "hey, I thought that read this way, not that way, OR some other thing I thought was different. I should read up on it again. Andrea Dietrich April 3, 2017 at 8:08 PM Yes, what is happening to your messages here, Connie. I wanted to tell you something else. I asked my SPANISH students what it was the ___ with the lamb. They all said lion. Now here is the kicker. Modernists are rationalizing people remember it as lion will lay with the lamb because of alliteration, saying lion just sounds better to them than wolf. BUT in spanish there is no alliteration of lamb with lion. It is really maddening people can not recognize this. My students don't even care!!! I remember "Mirror, mirror" and cringe when the lines of Shakespeare are altered. The original words will fade in my mind. A most interesting perspective. They even changed the VERB for Pete's sake!!! AND did you know that now TABLETS of ten commandments has been changed to TABLES. Why don't people wake up and smell the coffee?? What scares me the most is the changes in the Bible. There is actually a curse on anyone who changes one word in The Holy Book because it is a message fro God Himself. Great write here. My mother was a bible scholar and I know for a fact it was a lion not a wolf. I have read the entire bible cover to cover and the new testament countless times and these changes are what provoked me to write this poem. Look at all the paintings of the lion and the lamb. Creeps me out. Thanks ; )
