Life's tough, and pain is a part of it,
but so is love; thus, balance is kept.
Yet, the scale tips, according to how
you measure the weight of each tear wept.
Unhappy with your reality,
you fall asleep crying every night.
Fear is merely a phantom shadow
that, once exposed, vanishes from sight.
Hope realigns confused, scattered thoughts,
rooting out doubts until none survive.
And imbues your heart with its magic,
keeping your dreams secretly alive.
A time of introspection awaits,
with unavoidable side effects.
And feelings felt in pursuit of love
migrate to places the heart protects.
Numbing the pain of a broken heart,
time distances, worry and regret.
And as hope and trust rejuvenate,
once more, there's beauty in a sunset.
