Eaten By The World

I tried to eat the world
but it caused me stomach pains
The bones of the lost
are all that remains
It was flavored with deceit
with a coating of sweet honey
The rotisserie went round and round
it was powered by big money

I drank from the rivers
as they began to flood
Fish no longer lived there
the waters turned to blood

The grain from the fields
had long ago blown away
The once fertile soil
had turned to dust and clay

Fruit from all the trees
lay rotting on the ground
Fists upon my chest
I began to pound

We once had a garden
a paradise on earth
With greed we all destroyed it
we didn’t understand it's worth

So I took another bite
trying to get my share
empty tasteless promises
with no nourishment there

I watched the World bite back
Earthquakes our demise
Hurricanes and fires
As ocean waters rise

People seemed surprised
The changes came so fast
Sooner rather than later
We became part of the past

A planet without humans
Skies now crystal blue
The world she survived
By eating me and you

Premium Member autopsy of multiples being eaten

the deer died with her eyes open
which means she watched herself
become field
something permeable

I found her on the third day of autumn—
found autumn wearing her decaying hide
like a hand-me-down dress

the flies had already written their poems
in the metaphors of her throat:
small black punctuation, multiplying

I wanted to close her eyes
but my hands passed through
what I once believed was boundary

later the biologist told me
decomposition is just the body
finally telling the truth

about how many selves were always
inside you waiting to be released—
even the child who never grew old enough
to be revision

now when I say I, I mean the forty trillion
bacteria who call this dirt-body home

I mean the deer
the flies
I mean the light
that passed through her
and landed here

in this poem
which is just another way of being eaten
which is just another word for love
by the porous self

Moth-Eaten Page- Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock

MOTH-EATEN PAGE- LOVE SONG OF J.ALFRED PRUFROCK
An Apology to T.S.Eliot

Tralalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
Let’s drink and be merry and dance on air
Friends and foes of Sindbad, in the dragon’s lair
When the Rock will sit on the rock Norfolk
We will find him under grumble stone -Mr. Prufrock

He was settling a pillow and throwing off a shawl
Set about on eternal questions with Pablo and Paul
Drank a cup of Horlicks followed by ammonium sol
He was older than his legs and slender like a doll
Squeezed the universe into a bouncing ball.

Tralalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
Let’s drink and be merry and dance on air
Everything is fair in love and cab fare
Have you gone to Country mall? No, it’s rare
I have earned already the lion’s share
Nobody was there to watch out with a vacant stare.

Tralalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
Let’s drink and be merry and dance on air
Move in on to enemy territory a solitaire
Don’t panic; don’t be scared, I am on down stair
I‘ll join you if I can care.

Tralalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
Let’s drink and be merry and dance on air
Till I dare.

Premium Member Mum, By a Bear I Am Being Eaten

On a mobile phone a distraught mother listens
How her teenage daughter was being torn and eaten
Alive by a bear and its three children. In her own voice
She cried and said, “Mum, by a bear I am being eaten”

A nineteen year old Olga gave almost an hour-long
Running commentary about her agony all along
In three separate calls very, very disheartening
She cried and said, ”Mum, by a bear I am being eaten”.

In second call she said, “The bear left and came back”
With her cubs and are eating me with renewed attack”
Hearing this any mother would have died there and then
She cried and said, “Mum, by a bear I am being eaten”

In third call she said, “Mum, it is not hurting anymore
Now I don’t feel any pain, mum, everything is over
Forgive me, love you so much” the call cut and deadened
She cried and said, “Mum, by a bear I am being eat"

In a recent event Olga Moskalyova, 19, gave a horrific hour-long running commentary
on her own death in three separate calls to her mother as the wild animals mauled
her in the village of Termalniy, near Petropavlovsk Kamchatskiy, in the extreme east
of Siberia, Russia. Her Stepfather was also killed in the brutal attack.

Premium Member Eaten' Out

I ate at 'Millie's' Monday night.
Millie's hot but her food's a fright.
Tuesday 'Tuesday' cooked it right,
on Main across from the traffic light.

Wednesday's fair was fine at 'Flare',
with Piccadilly made right there.
The stuff at 'Mama's' was despair.
It made me want to say a prayer.

Friday and Saturday I can't recall...
musta' drank too much alcohol.

And Sunday night I had a bite
of pepperoni pizza at 'Chang's Delight'!

Premium Member Under the Half Eaten Coconut Moon

desiccated stars
sprinkled crumbs that surround
a half eaten coconut moon
I lick my lips

this ethereal delicacy
above me
calls me to indulge
in a visual feast
to sate my soul

if only you were here...
My love, if only
we'd lie here together
relishing every last bite
and when the last soul crumb was gone
we'd turn our carnal lips
to feed on each other's bodies
indulging in a physical feast
to sate our desires
under a half eaten coconut moon
while those desiccated sprinkled stars twinkle on...

Born To Bear Or Be Eaten

Born in the last decade of the old regime
Born a twain year before our unity to bear
All the flourishing devoid credos and pro-
phecies that foresaw our dark current futures
Possessed by omens and the Serpent’s seeds
Of rebellion bad tidings from anyplace
Were dropping and chances dwindle. In the
Intervening time storey-buildings bloomed
Eggheads rose to make the era theirs with
Funds diverted abroad to squeeze the brinks
The illuminated then urinate on the poor’s
Offspring to connect them to the State how
Blind is this society in total discordance

Premium Member I'Ve Eaten a Farmer's Field of Wheat

I have most likely eaten a farmer's field of wheat
I'm loaded with fibre right down to my feet
When I'm dead and gone
Plant me on the front lawn
You'll have wheat coming out of your ying yang, whatta treat!

My Friend Robert Neufeld made a comment "Eat the world"
I liked it and asked if I could use it, this is the result.

Ain'T Never Not Eaten On Thanksgiving

And this one is quite the same...
So the kinfolk has gone off...
Does it matter?
No.....

Just ease over to the next town....
Where's a cracker barrel
Or sisters of the south
.....and feast away
Thanksgiving day....

An epic feast...

The following day is the first day if the Christmas season...
Not black friday

Hisser Tile

Aite and Dolos have whispered
instructions.Her words wish me to
deceive him.

Then Aite said to Dolos.
He will gain nothing and his ruin
shall make Zeus smile.
Dolos are you worthy of trust? Dolos
don't ruin my plans. That even a God
can't trust you. Might you conspire to
have Aite's plan ruined, I may curse you
before Zeus and speak I'll of you amongst
those how wish me as there's. I shall
Whisper instructions to your ruin, this
speakeasy Aite!

Dolos spoke and encouraged his deceit
to have the woman pregnant; but of his
ruin might he prosper and the woman to
be deceived by him. Than men shall
worship the man. And Zeus will hate him
that he loves me!

By a Canadian Had Been Eaten

Read my poetry page by page
Lovely beige is the latest rage
Sat on seashore day after day
While dreaming my life away

on back rubbed suntan lotion
Wondering about commotion
while my body had been drying
saw come fish who were flying

When appeared a Canadian clown
In happiness himself he did drown
looked into water and saw a seal
who was seeking another meal.

To America we returned back
After I leaped and hit the sack
Seemed to be weather beaten
By a Canadian had been eaten

Eaten Alive

The pain deep inside
eating at my bones, so tight
I don't have much fight

Premium Member Love To Be Eaten By a Puma

The puma is so sleek and black
I have no doubt he’d break my back
And carry me off to feed his cubs
They would love my fat and chubs.

The puma would come in the night
And grab my neck and hold me tight
I would lose my life but who cares?
I would get to see his puma lairs.

The puma’s eyes would be so green.
In the woods, he’d not be seen.
He’d grab me up so amazingly fast.
I would not very quickly last.
