Mum, By a Bear I Am Being Eaten

On a mobile phone a distraught mother listens
How her teenage daughter was being torn and eaten
Alive by a bear and its three children. In her own voice
She cried and said, “Mum, by a bear I am being eaten”

A nineteen year old Olga gave almost an hour-long
Running commentary about her agony all along
In three separate calls very, very disheartening
She cried and said, ”Mum, by a bear I am being eaten”.

In second call she said, “The bear left and came back”
With her cubs and are eating me with renewed attack”
Hearing this any mother would have died there and then
She cried and said, “Mum, by a bear I am being eaten”

In third call she said, “Mum, it is not hurting anymore
Now I don’t feel any pain, mum, everything is over
Forgive me, love you so much” the call cut and deadened
She cried and said, “Mum, by a bear I am being eat"

Congrats on the win, Ram. How awful for all involved... I cannot imagine the horror. Thank you for this entry. It is also a profound statement on how man has destroyed nature to the point that nature feeds off man. If the bears had enough to eat, they would not have attacked humans. Truly you have shown us what real helplessness is... for the victim and her mother...

oh my gosh, that is so horrible. I thought you were making it up. To think someone would keep being eaten for an hour like this?? Incredible and tragic. A very interesting idea for a kyrielle!!

Hi Dr. Mehta, I finally found time to read some of your works. You did a masterful job on the Sonnet Quo Vida and you have great story telling skills. I liked this bear story. I am shocked to know it is true. Keep up the good work. Regards, Earl
