Drip
Drop
Water drop cascades under sapphire afterglow
Undoing 4 month deprivations
Muffled moans surround crimson fireplace
Crackling of fire
Thrusts of skin
Retinal vibrations shutter her pilot light deep within
She ascended to blue moon heights
As embers of his inferno
Bow in collective unison
Maddening grips
His fingertips draw triangular markings
Hugging curvature’s hip
Gentle bites on lower lip
He tackles her wanton hands against waterbed foundations
Her strengthened pupils reach out for 3rd eye clarity.
She asks for his dance under aggressive whisper
As he dips
Inside
Slow motion Salsa bends of her will
She crosses legs marking “X” against his spot
His relinquished hands
Slalom her vocal chords toward accentuated heavens
He exorcised her trembling inner thighs
From collapsing octaves
With eloquent, muted exhales
His hand reaches her cheek
His mouth descending towards her breast
“My lady, put that lighter down,
Let me be your cigarette.”

I'm dripping sweat on my shirt
I think it might even hurt
My heart is swollen like a river
The joy that overflows
Joy is dripping in my soul
The joy of Jesus Christ
Who laid down his life
for my sins he paid the price
Nothing can steal my life
because he holds me tight
I got that Holy Ghost fire
running deep within my soul
I got that promise of eternal
life and one day Jesus will
come take me home
Bad guys,
I recognize the bad guys
some hate to lose
The big game
cross into the shade
A fast-paced ride
success is not a highway
... "the soul of America"
Everything
depends on who wins, I guess
Bad guys,
I recognize the bad guys
gossiping and greed
Backstabbing
evil be spoken
Manipulation
Triumph and torment
prepare for the next level
... "the soul of America"
~ the worst loser ever

water drips slowly
large puddle forms on ground
birds splash playfully
For S.K.A.T.'s picture perfect Haiku contest.
I managed to snag the last spot.
Take me there
I don't care
Touch my hair
Eat this pear!!!
I am bare
Want to share?
Do you care?
I am bear
I'll let you stare
Don't go there
By the chair
Or on that stair?
Your skin is fair
You look like Cher
Come to my lair
But pay my fare
Drippity drip drip
Drip like drip
Like dripping wet weather.
Drip by drip
By dint of dripping wet wearied cheeks.
Drip from drip
Away from my tears welled up dripping wet eyes.
Drip like a drip.
Like a rain droplets
Dropdown my fury.
Dropdown my worry.
Dropdown my envy.
Dropdown my enmity.
I turn the faucet
drip drop-I grab a big mop
still dirty can't stop.

Standing in the pouring rain, I felt like a drip,
The dark grey skies reflected my mood,
A salty tear rolled down my face onto my lip,
Tears and rain drops mixed, and I thought how rude
To be stood up by the woman I’d wooed!

For Sara’s Five Lines metaphor & similie contest
Drink deeply, feel not shame, as many have thirst-
Who among us can deny such a right?

Blown with the wind, came I
With Orion, screened from the sight;
Yet with the constellation sighted
In the glass of life.
By my window, the rowdy wind
Picks up the pace and funnels the air
In turbid haste.
I, the eye of the storm, saddled
On the morning maze,
Pricked up and pinched with the chill of your gust.
Drip drop, dripping, clinking,clanking
Life's fluid vibe beguiles the 'witches cauldron'
The ominous count of moisture of life
Fizzing up and flowing straight
To the Bay I look
From my window-pane.
The wind would pick and the wind would fall
The train of flossy images hangs over Bay of Bengal.
Rain drops falling down
They are tears from angel’s eyes
Watering the earth
The lock clicks,
And the apartment is left lifeless.
Each piece of furniture lining the walls,
Is lifeless under winters' creeping touch.
The T.V. was left on,
Playing reruns of "Dukes of Hazard".
Silently it flashes in the background.
A blanket is unfolded on the tannish stained couch,
And a pillow rests near the arm.
Crumbs lead from the small living area to the smaller kitchen.
A bowl sits on the counter,
Holding milk from cereal this morning.
The milk is warm now.
One of the drawers is left ajar,
Plastic silverware is unorganized within.
The mess of the kitchen leads into the smallish bedroom
One bed; unmade.
A small chestnut dresser, with clothes hanging from the drawers.
Some trinkets clutter and a coasterless cup stains the wood.
A towel has been thrown across the hardly carpeted floor,
Leading into the minuscule bathroom.
It is still steamy from a shower in the morning.
A grungy toothbrush rests on the counter by the nearly empty toothpaste tube.
The rusty shower head drips.
Plinking into the hair clogged drain.
It drips and drops, drips and drops,
But no one is there to hear it.
drips drops of water
constantly dives on a rock-
slow perforation
Thunder shudders
On a cool summer’s night
The air is brisk, the ground is still dry
Round and robust rain clouds roll in
Thunder shakes roofs of tin,
I look through the window pane, thin
Rain drip drop dripping on roof tops,
Lightning strikes, pop
Trickling streams,
Down windows they run,
Patiently waiting for the return of the sun,
she is playing peek-a-boo behind clouds,
A crackling crack of lighting connects with the ground
Thunder follows, fast and loud.
The wind howls,
Swirling gusts sweep
rain like slicing sideways sheets
Cold rain cuts into the countryside,
Drenching the dirt, making mud puddles to stomp,
Oh, this rain, will it ever stop?
Rain pitter patters, tinking a top my roof,
Tapping on the glass, drip dropping on the stoop.
The lightning ceases and the thunder quits,
On my front stoop I sit
A subtle soft shower lingers,
Saturating the humid air,
Extended hand, feeling the rain with my fingers
As the last drops of rain sprinkle from the sky
The clouds begin to part, traded for streaks of light,
Through a small gap the sun does shine, on this house of mine
Reflection on the pavement,
The smell, something of a sentiment,
Reminiscing on rain drops, drip drop dripping on my roof top.
