True Noises From Outside

True noises from outside
deep in the night of winter,
snow geese cadence call too
shake some sense of me.
Summon me to remember who I am,
Bid me to evoke who I was.

I see fire in the valley through the rain
and I stumble through the mist
too see what ghosts are there.
It’s where I cut my teeth
on tricks to deal with pain.
It’s where I danced in junkyard smoke
and I browned my hair.

City blocks in suburb woods was the day,
Greatest Generation with their pills and pay.
One or two stone’s throw from Europe
ran the blood, all the way from Bronx
and Brooklyn on the G.I. Bill.
We yelled songs and bloodied lips in summer mud,
we built forts, carried knives, fought for king of hill.
Collars blue and white and red as pools of blood.
sticks and stones will break your bones as the calling does.

We were free to paint our days.
We played in the slipstream, sang song
and danced in the marsh for the mallow.
We drank cream soda and smoked Pall Mall non filters.
We distrusted Protestants and hated Hitler.
We were rough neck hippies, hometown gypsies.
Tribal, we did not always play well with others.
In the year of the plague we crucified the frogs.

True noises from outside
in winter dawn,
snow geese timbre and rhyme too
shake some sense in me.
Striving to recall who I am,
trying to recollect who I was.

Re-Installing Integrity In America

Once the dream was to make America the shining light of the world
a caring and compassionate country with opportunities for all
but after questioning the veracity of the election in America by the sham pretender since then this nation has endured the corrupt, the ugly, the distrusted who have put a damp on long held dreams of millions.

A neophyte failed businessman/politician with a narcissistic bent
of a five year old, looking for a king's crown, his fatuous transmutation has proven to be the culprit blocking his own way but denial is months away but
this dream may be reality in the making.

We who understand the damage done know are the ones
who must remove the stench he has created and the pain he inflicted
while hell bent trying to annihilate our Democratic Republic and his intent on
changing justice in America to save himself.

American's Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the hope of the world
but this administration peddles lies for control but honesty chokes them,
integrity strangles their foundations and freedoms they profess to value.
Their insidious mindset will not prevail and definitely will be challenged.

We are being devoured by manipulative small minds; their indifference,
bigotry and the all-mighty, all-consuming, deceptive profits seems to be what we are becoming. I can't believe we have been overcome with greed
and what it represents, but are we really, at heart, really that?

Will Democracy, Truth, Justice continue to be our guide, our conscience?
Will American integrity survive the current onslaught of verbal inanities?
America was great before this charlatan came unto the scene
misleading his followers and instilling his divisive absurdities.

America was great long before this pretender stepped on these shores.
It will continue to be great even greater, but these last few years he has fed lies of con to his followers derailing that trajectory of greatness
yet there are those who will follow this false Messiah's words of hatred.

White supremacists, bigots, genocidal maniacs with the mistaken idea
that this country is for them to take have a shocker awaiting them,
America will never be ruled solely by punk-pink-orange colored wannabe's
hellbent on destroying indigenous peoples of our world and our country.

Grandfather's Clock Original Part One

Grandfather’s Clock (In Poe’s Raven style) by jet 1986 Part One

The night was dreadfully dreary, his body old and weary
In his bed did hear he— a sound so full of fright.
With bolt-upright attention, his breath held in suspension,
He sat in self-detention on the bed.
His eyes were wide, not seeing, while in the darkness being
Perplexed in fright from a sound heard in the night.

“Why did I awaken? Why am I so shaken?
Perhaps I am mistaken in my plight.
Did I hear someone calling? Was it something falling?
Falling in the night?
What’s more to my liking, if perhaps the clock was striking
Once on its bell, striking in the night.”

“Yes, that’s what I was hearing, ‘twas nothing to be fearing,
For once half-past it strikes.”
To the dark his eyes adjusted, his mind with dreams encrusted,
As silhouettes distrusted came into sight.
“What are my eyes now seeing? Is that a human being?
Or was I just hearing the clock that strikes?”

He lay back down to listen, dark shadows flit and glisten,
The moon was out of sight.
Now, not to his liking, the clock began to striking—
Twelve strokes at midnight!
With bolt-upright attention, his breath held in suspension
Once again he was filled with fright.

As he sat there staring, his thoughts more ensnaring,
Not daring to sleep till morning light.
He pondered the aberration in a fit of trepidation
About the grandfather clock.
“Why my thoughts now bother, the clock died with Grandfather,
Forty years ago tonight!”

A Busy Man

You know those buildings that you see?

On an island of their own, impressive yet forlorn,

Beautiful yet distrusted, desired yet unloved,

Sturdy yet crumbling, rigid yet wobbling.

I walk through these structures of steel, dressed in pressed suits,

I bump into busy strangers, scurrying in and out of Waitrose, Boots

Not once do I wonder, what their stories are

Will I ever see them again, nor do I care.

Yes, I spare a glance for the women,

Walking fast in stilettos, judging each other

With their glossy hair, neutral makeup and arrogant brows

After a while they all start to blend together.

I do not know it yet, but someday

Someday soon, if I am lucky

I will wake up a changed man,

I will not hurry and scurry, I will not plan.

I will throw my Blackberry into the Thames- watch it drown,

I will laugh and laugh until I forget to frown.

London has a beautiful heart- big and warm and full of tears,

Surely, she will forgive me for not loving her enough all these years.

Tommorrow Today

Camp rape before we were deported.
Camouflage, the only identity of whom had her pregnant.
I bet my exile, not even bribes were executed.
A sin not a crime, the heart carries the statement.
See, evil servant will not leave footprints in the crime scene.

Evidence collected before we was aborted.
Light died, blackness is not haunted.
Term of manipulation, they never cared.
So well brainwashed, we were not scared
Errands the other side had inward more progressed.

The whole thing is a project.
Deeds of subjects cover pockets.
Egos fed with politics over the budget.
Disease for the job, another honor for a donor
Son of the soil, a handful harvest of Bohemia.

You fell for what the artist depicted?
Eat it, the doctor instructed.
Reversed expiry date, appetite had us distrusted.
A puzzle that cannot be completed.
You do not have to come back and apologize for being wanted.

A witness to crimes not reported
Looks like locks broken, a library that remains open.
Black token, clearly different how white spoken.
"Audi alter-am sine prejudice" the true advert was stolen.
The people, please.

Dark Forthcoming

The dark skies are coming,

Dark clouds are appearing,

The wind is gusting,

Trees are fronting,

We are shunning,

We go running...

The dark skies are coming,

Rains are blossoming,

Nature is bumping,

They go cunning,

The sky is drumming,

Forest are burning,

We run intending...

Dark skies are coming,

Gusts are interfering,

Nature is in confusion,

Humanity getting in pandemonium,

Minds in disorder,

Intention unbecoming...

Dark skies are coming,

Darkness is rising,

Sun is fading,

It is causing an uprising,

It keeps arising,

We keep striving...

Dark skies are coming,

Darkness is blinding,

Gusts keep arriving,

Deception and treachery are conniving,

Pain gets agonizing,

We go crying,

You go regreting...

The dark skies are coming,

Mountains are crumbling,

Clounds are thundering,

Soil is spoiling,

Bodies are breaking,

Hearts are bleeding,

Birds are flocking,

Fishes are emerging,

Somethings are dying,

Humanity is surviving,

Safety is distrusted,

Most things are doubted,

Everything is happening,

The dark forthcomings are near...

My Mum and Me

Love, calumniousness and my calmness.
Caste, colour and religion, castrating me pish.
Pitiable placability, pendiculation and scurrllity,
A scullion leads ashtray, arrogant, juggling kiss.
In funds gainsay gad about, execute fustigation,
Fulsome excelration and Ju Ju, jest misconceived stress.
A gawk but gallant frizzled fuddle and frolic,
Exert pickings pick some picaroon phrenetic bliss.
A cry diverted diversion, a dither distrusted hope,
A burning light touched a grand heart becomes bless.

The Sandal Tree

To hold, as 'twere, the mirror up to nature
In an enchanting garden
Stood a slim sandal tree
With delicate branches
Reaching towards the sky
Wind rustled thru it
To carry its perfume
On her wings
Far and wide
Birds nestled among
The pretty leaves
To live their lives
In happiness and peace
Near its roots
Lived a big black asp
Distrusted by all
Alone in its misery
He slithered up the sandal
And wrapped around
Its perfumed trunk
And closed its eyes
For many days
He stayed like that
In hope to take
A little perfume from the tree
No matter how much
He tried and tried
But could not get
The delicate aroma
Nor would the
Gentle sandal tree
Get the poison
From its body
Hunger made him leave
And all let out a sigh
For again the sandal
Stood erect to
Spread its perfume
Far and wide
On the wings of wind

My Spiritual Journey

I found a haven from a home
Where the ever changing battles
I could not win
In a group of amazing people
That just so happened
Belonged to a church
They never judged or
Made me feel less because
My clothes didn't come from the Gap
Soon enough I realized that this group was special
When church after church turned their backs in disdain
My car was rusted
My dress threadbare
My mother crazy
My offering not enough
As I grew older I stayed away
From a religion that embodied hypocrisy
How I abhor deceit
My faith I still held even though
I distrusted the institution that taught me
I felt in my heart that there must be some truth
In the love Jesus spoke of
With much conviction
I sometimes wondered if we read the same bible?
Did they read how he washed the feet of Mary Magdalene?
Many years it would be
Till like a thunderbolt I woke up and
Saw the truth that had always been there
We are all connected every person, animal, tree, mountain
And all the beautiful flowers
There's a rhythm and balance that can be found in nature
We somehow lost while building nations
We should love and care for one another
Not because we're told
Because we want to
Understand we must stop warring
And destroying this planet
Because who's being destroyed is
Us
Live in every moment
Feel all your feelings
Yesterday is gone
Tomorrow is not certain
This is my truth it may not be yours
I will respect what you believe
Please all I ask is the same
