In depth of woods how autumn dazzles, swirling beauty of ornate décor,
Waltzing with ochre hickory, birch; whirling flaxen moods of sycamore,
Gracing my view upon blazing foothills, where vistas gamboge scroll,
Bedecking maples, swaying rhythms, with fiery red of shimmying knoll.

Zephyrs of west rustle demeanor of black tupelo, fluttering leaves gold,
Glistening burnt orange of sugar maple, revelers in sundown behold,
As remnants of gilded twilight beams, glimmer in purpled afterglow,
Weaving motifs of fall in tapestries idyllic, of blushing eventide aglow.

Autumn’s grandeur glows, as crisp frost gleams, mellowing overcast days,
Where gelid winds shudder trees, foretelling imminent wintry malaise,
Meandering with leaves falling gently; carpeting dyed, chromatic meadows,
As the arena of fall’s resplendent show, shimmers in elongated shadows.

Harvest Moon enamors sights, appealing to fervor of romantic glance,
Enthralled watching dance of stars, attuned to tenor of cosmic expanse,
Gliding over a charming night, wooing souls glued to autumn’s ruby fire,
Flaunting pizazz panoramic~ a farewell of fall-splendor, in cerise attire.

Turning life’s pages of albums, treasured memories rekindle seasons past,
Thankful for the abundance of goodwill~ heavenly blessings destiny cast;
As conversations savor aroma of pumpkin pies; buttery, nutty, apple tarts,
Spending time with family, friends; exchanging missives of kindred hearts.

Premium Member Love Me Like You Mean It

Where gilded autumn dazzles hazy morning
And golden leaves sprinkle on marigold beams
As sparrows dance and hummingbirds sing
Amble in my shadows on blue river’s prairies.

Tell me treacly secrets of whispering winds
Befriending sweet nectar on butterfly wings
When you hear me in lyrics of heartbeats
And sing me the hymns, in verses of dreams.

When twilight paints blush of the evening
Flirting with tangerine sunset on skyline pink
Sprinkling gold-dust on pulsating ripples
Show me the amber sun dipping in water.

Watching the night sky in symphony of stars
As sensuous flames ignite echoes of romance
Caress my desires in embrace of your heart
And compose me playfully in intimate allegory.

When I want to hear it, tell me you need me
Be my spring season, when my winter haunts me
Be my only reason, if you say you love me
Say it like it’s pure love, say it like you mean it.

Premium Member Winter To Spring - Tet

Snow
Falling
Creating
A white carpet
That dazzles us with its sheer brilliance
Spring arrives and the carpet is no more
Buds now appear
Birds singing
Flowers
Bloom.

Premium Member Think On These Things

Which sunrise is most spectacular?
Which blue sky is bluest?
Are there words in my vernacular,
To express which love is truest?

For love is like a jewel rare,
With many facets, sides,
Which side sparkles more, compare,
In which side does more beauty hide?

Which miracle is more miraculous?
Which happiness holds more joy?
Which one is more marvelous?
Which does one most enjoy?

For each one is amazing,
Each dazzles in our eyes,
As though we stand there gazing,
At starlight in the skies;

And you are just like all these things.
You are beyond compare,
A blessing sent on angel's wings,
You're like a treasure, rare;

For nowhere is there one like you.
You're unique, one of a kind.
God had one thought when He made you.
You were all that was on His mind.

Premium Member Rose Garden

Rose blossoms divine~ splendor exuding delight,
Ebullient is their stance, colorful is their profile,
Ecstatically they rise, flaunting exuberant smile;
Grandeur flower-bouquets charming your sight
Lauding scented whiffs fragrant blooms impart
As silken petals unfold, lip-synching your heart.

Upon arched trellis dazzles honey-gold royal rose
Forming vibrant arc of winsome welcome-pose,
Charming realm of crimson, scarlet, coral, themes~
Seductive blooms enchanting passionate dreams,
Standing tall on long-stems wallowing in sunrise
Romancing love-vibes beaming through your eyes.

Bountiful clusters tout reddish-purple fuchsia blush
Oscillating rosy-buds to lyrical melodies of thrush
Where, chasing nectar, bees and butterflies rush,
While daydreams-enamored, clasping silence hush,
Reveling indulgent stimulus in cooing hints of dove
Strumming in our hearts mellifluous music of love.

Premium Member Gilded Breath of Autumn

While gilded breath of autumn sighs
Whirling colors of season's dream,
How nature's painting dazzles eyes
On sapphire arc’s chromatic theme.

Zephyrs with zeal rustle leaves gold
While gilded breath of autumn sighs
Where maples-red flaunt visage bold
Cheering grief of summer's demise.

Horizon crimson thrills mauve skies
Where twilight’s halo sweethearts greet
While gilded breath of autumn sighs
Blazed in passions lovers entreat.

Swirling notions of cooling nights
Breezing colors waltz chasing highs
Charming hues for reveling sights
While gilded breath of autumn sighs.

Premium Member In Mother's Crown - Constanza

The fourth one looks and laughs like me.
She’s well-informed and takes delight
in trying hard to do what’s right.

The third can offer sympathy.
Despite her woes, she’s so much fun -
so sweet she dazzles everyone.

The second shows forth charity.
A little shy, she’s fond of songs.
Near warmth of hearth this one belongs.

The first born, I like spreading glee.
For peace and happiness I strive,
while writing keeps me most alive!

Jewels in Mother’s crown are we,
and traits we share, reflections of
the gem most brilliant – Mother’s love.

The fourth one looks and laughs like me.
The third can offer sympathy.
The second shows forth charity.
The first born, I like spreading glee.
*Jewels in Mother’s crown are we.

Nov. 25, 2017 for the Constanza contest of Craig Cornish
*This line I prefer that it would read: All Jewels in Mother's crown are we
because I pronounce Jewels as one syllable "jools" but howmanysyllables.com
puts that line at 9 syllables unless I drop the word "all" (sigh)

Words

Walk with me for a while
And listen to my words
That fall like rain and
Drench the ground we pace

Talk with me for a mile
And I will watch your words
Spread like butterflies
On this road we grace

Brilliance comes in many ways
In words, in smiles, in deeds
But the greatest brilliance
Blinds the eye and
Dazzles make shift needs

Words they fall like petals
They carpet all the ground
And in the end their
Blown away and
Gone without a sound

Petites and Faeries

Petites and Faeries, it is said, live just beyond that hill
Their Moondust dazzles breathlessly, on nights so calm and still
Some town folk treasure innocence and so they understand
That humble souls are they who settled just beyond their land

Not much is known of Faerie land, save for it’s golden glow
Surrounded by the ever bloom of flowered Thistle-toe
A bit of mischief often finds its way into the town
When certain unexplained events cause some to bear a frown

The Faeries’ pranks are just a bit of fun to catch a smile
And often there’s a bag of gold left just to reconcile
Their gifts should not be squandered or dismissed without esteem
For wondrous things can happen for our sharing to redeem

Petites and Faeries, man and creatures all to grace the times
A magic poem filled of peace with every line that rhymes
If Moondust could embrace the hearts of all who live nearby
Perhaps, some would not run in fear when Faeries, they see fly

But hope lives on for anyone who sees the world with love
Despite the differences of some who hold the world above
To end this tale on happy notes and songs to gather dance
Let’s say, that it’s all up to us and not just up to chance

Premium Member INTERCEPTION

INTERCEPTION

Shadows waning distorted fading
Teasing tempting, a psychotic hack
Scheming concealing cerebral deceiving
Sun retreating behind shades of black

Memoirs succumbing, alpha notes strumming
Hope dwindling midst each laboured breath
Dusky-eyed wretchedness, reflective reminiscence
Sporadic spirits predicting sinister death

Powerless to quell the oppressor within
Oh, desolation! The thief with the sinister grin
The day bleeds, no conveyed clarifications
Nightfall brings its own demonic demons

Moodswings of crazy with judgements so hazy
Interceptive apathy through feelings of lethargy
Music evokes emotions with resilient duress
Though once familiar titles slide back in regress.

Living within her own fluid transparency
The piteous empathy, does she even discern?
Is she to become a fading frequency?
Or… ungenial ashes in a decorative urn?

As the soft rose shades of twilight transcends
In the quietude of peace – a hushed calm descends
One last recall remains in her artistic archive
Where the Star of the Show still dazzles and thrives.

I know this will be a sensitive topic, especially at Christmas with people caring for or visiting their loved ones afflicted with Dementia or Alzheimer's—such a sad condition. Apparently, the worst thing to possibly do is try to jog the patient's memory, as it causes more stress.

Instead, why not give them your time and play their favourite music?
Music memories often remain as others disappear.

This is because brain regions involved in musical memory and processing (e.g., the cerebellum) are not as affected by Alzheimer's or dementia until much later in the disease course.

Please watch the video; it is so beautiful and touching. Marta Gonzalez was a professional ballet dancer who developed Alzheimer's. One thing she never forgot was her Swan Lake routine She passed in 2019.

Premium Member Deep Beneath the Ocean

The azure ocean, home to the embedded enormous incomprehensible riches of mysteries and riddles,
More than the Mars, lies unfathomed, underneath the conundrum of oceanic colossal rhythms.

From the The Milky Sea Phenomenon, a sight captured as bioluminescence illusion,
The Purple Orb of the ocean floor of California and the Baltic Sea’s anomalous puzzles,
Like the alien spaceship put foot on the colossal quagmires of oceanic chasm!
When the underwater volcanoes erupt to perplex beyond imagination in huddle,
To probe and discern those gems of oyster shell’s luminous pearls dazzles,
Deep beneath sleeping peacefully in the ocean’s cradle!

The fatal enigma of the unplumbed immensely profound oceanic mysteries will never dwindle.

The more one plunges to pierce in deep muse its vastness engulfs to diddle!
The superficial waves in corrugation, are mere widening its hitherto horizontal hurdles.

The bizarre sounds emanating from beneath are like giant icebergs scraping the oceanic floor in madly rhythm!
The obscure oceanic realms, its myriads mystical appearances remains timeless, fancy of millions!

Eras and eras pass, the mythical mermaid’s riddle are yet to resolve,
As centuries pass, may replete with the witness of numerous human civilizations!

Like the Atlantis of Japan, from time immemorial, the oceans are abodes of colossal confusions.

The voyages disappear in the Mystic Triangle, who knows what lies beneath the mythical abstractions?

The twirling sounds of infinite ocean swirling in the sea shells are quite captivating, attract  admirers attractions;

The archipelago one after the other vanished without the trace, as in Marina Trench’s aberrations;

As if the Phantom Islet of Bermeja, in its murky abyssal cradle’s magnetic composition.
The Crop Circles discovered beneath its bosom as if the signage of other world’s manifestations;
The oceanic phenomenon of green flashes meets the red tides, reveals your magnificent disposition.

Wants to plunge, swim like a mermaid in your mystical cerulean temporal lilting motion;
Oh, the oceanic conundrum more we try to fathom, the more we entangle in your cryptic chasm!
