Smack crackle pop The fire was throwing herself
She would smoulder occasionally into grey
Then revive herself with orange flame shoots,
delighting me and the other kids.

These kids were pretty much strangers to me.
I was re-thinking my decision
to tag along with my cousins, who were wearing
unusual...

Crunch, Crackle, Crackle, Crackle, Crunch
Crunch, crackle, crackle, crackle, crunch
The leaves under my heavy footfalls
Those nor easterly winds sure pack a punch
Onward it is, my freedom calls

Nothing worth having seems to come easy
Another bridge to cross, just another bridge
From my past now I must break free
Will I see my future...

Snap! Crackle! Pop!
Snap! Crackle! Pop! is the whispers of a warm camp fire.
The sweet aroma of the maple as it leaks out of the burning wood.
The fresh air.
The glow of the yellow orange fire.
The clear dark sky with the moon and stars shining so bright.
Snap! Crackle!...

Snap, Crackle and Pop

I woke up this morning loving you and it was all Marshmallow and Jalapeño
Such a fine day... such a gloriously feather duster sort of day
For loving you
And feeling like everything is made of Christmas tinsel

There's a scatter of sequins in my heart
Not...

Snapdragons Crackle
Snapdragons Crackle

Snapdragons crackle
in the air for Maura
and her flowing gait,

a swagger neither Nora
nor Maureen would ever
let a suitor savor.

Maura knows
that in her wake
men with scythes

and burlap sacks,
creep like gators,
eyes afire, jaws agape.

Nora and Maureen
can smell these men.
Unlike...

Ignite, Crackle and Spark
My skin thickens, weighs hard
upon the chalky bones. Frustration dribbles
between each crack, expands and holds.
Glass eyes frost over, chipped on the surface
all vision is blurred. Oxygen turns stale
and knocks in a drunken stumble
against the brain.
She shines through the...

Snap Crackle Pop Microwave Went Kaput
Snap... crackle... pop... microwave went kaput

After start button pushed
immediate auditory signal issued
nsync with billowing smoke
time saving convenient contrivance
rendered defunct trucked to dumpster.

Pre owned electronic contraption
unpredictably went on fritz
malfunction occurred without warning
luckily spouse, the Misses
she instantaneously intervened
lest towering inferno engulfed
yours truly and wife
poetic license expended
to identify...

not knowing it was still in his hand

Crackle and Pop
Shortage in the sockets of electricity
The circuits broken and I just simply can't connect
Wiring is sparking to ignite a flame
The reaction of heat with power
I've been unplugged sometime from the world
Still searching for the breaker
To which my connection was once, not so lost...

Memories - Lol
Happy me!
Dressed up in new pink sheath dress,
embellished with white sparkles.
Excited to flaunt it to lasses and lads.
Quickly walked out swaying my tress.

Inspecting eyes stared at me in amazement
“Baby walk with style!” that was cerebrum’s announcement.

Oh hell!
I fell down from my...

Premium Member hungry ghost
chasing you
I left me
like I do
when I'm chasing a
hungry ghost

scrawny
with a distended belly
that's never full
however much
it devousr

nothing outside
fills what's empty
 inside
longer than
the dopamine rush
it neglect itself
to sustain

as empty as
the bars I haunted
before you
these aren't the poems
I want to write

I long to...
