Premium Member I'll be strong song version

I'll be strong

Vs 1
You're getting tired of losing...
there's not enough joy and peace to be found
Sometimes it's better choosing...
to set your goals high, never looking down

(refrain)
Let's be strong together!
Make changes together!
Let's be strong together!
Have the courage to say:

Chorus
I'll be strong...
I'll forget all the pain,
I'll be strong...
I'll learn from my mistakes,
I'll be strong...
I'll be who I am and not be ashamed

Vs 2
Your will to live is fading...
don't give up on the chance to live your dreams...
maybe time to do some praying...
for courage to be strong and to believe

(refrain)
Let's be strong together!
Make changes together!
Let's be strong together!
Have the courage to say:

Chorus
I'll be strong...
I'll forget all the pain,
I'll be strong...
I'll learn from my mistakes,
I'll be strong...
I'll be who I am and not be ashamed

repeat chorus and fade

Premium Member A Kind Hello

Proverb 12:25 "Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up."

a stray lost
in her thoughts

i saw her
sitting there
nursing a frown

so i
reached out
compelled
to offer
a warm hello

no reason
no motive
simple
unadorned
unpretentious

the smile
on her face~

it startled me

made me forget
my troubles

suddenly
all seemed
so insignificant

it was a smile~

that changed
in one instant
the color
of my sky

Premium Member - Tomorrow You Can Fly -

The one who doubts his own doubts
is like counting snowflakes in a snowstorm
Remember to thank for health and luck,
see everything in a slightly larger perspective
And speak the language of poetry fluently
We are all the same seed of life
Reason and dreams of lily of the valley

On a meadow ... a secret of unseen little surprise
... the sweetest mouse on earth
When the evening comes and everyone goes to rest
sleep well in your fluffy bed
Don't fear the wind
it will be as smooth as your breath
Under a sky full of stars
Tomorrow you can fly ... you're free

Premium Member A Simple Whim- POTD

How I wish to scuttle alone,
over a gentle river,
from bank to bank,
in a small boat,
rowed with a bamboo pole.

The call of the wild is an irresistible call,
to venture into the silken waters,
to feel the wind and look at the blue sky
with nimbus clouds drawing strange patterns,
when seagulls’ fly, shrieking over my head,
and sense the misty spray of water
when weary hours shall sink to blend
with the soothing sibilance of the river,
winding its way through woods and plains!

Premium Member Lifes Simplicity Maintained

You were born in a specialist clinic
I was born at the front door of my house
we both came into this world and survived.
You’ve been eating foreign cuisines and expensive delicacies
I’ve been taking porridge and traditional soups
we both have grown and are a significant part of the society.

You go to school in Jeeps and exotic vehicles
I use public transport and finish it up with a walk
we both went to learning institutions and acquired knowledge.
You roll with the high and mighty and get a super model married
I’m surrounded by the middle class
and marries one never will be in Wikipedia
we both are active in the food chain and wonderfully living our lives.

You become a CEO or rather own a firm
I get employed by you to run your empire
we both sure need each other to function and drive.
Gold and Diamonds will decorate the casket of your funeral
mine may not even be worthy of a coffin, just a plain box
we’ll nevertheless be dead and our chapter closed without preference.

It is only a pathology when the eye gets larger than its socket,
comparison cuts the muscles of esteem and gives greed a new suit,
making simplicity a very complex attribute to attain
and a life full of complexities a better friend to existence.
Life is simple, we just make it complicated.
A civil servant wants to live at par with a tycoon
allowing his throat tie down the strength of his hands.

Every destination has different roads,
be it the highway or a rocky path.
Take the one within your speed limit,
the timing may show some reaching before or better than others
but the most important thing is, the destination reached
as achievement is decorated while life stay simple.

Premium Member Everyday Is Beautiful

Everyday is beautiful, son,
and no that's not being optimistic.
You're here - you're alive - with one more day on your plate.
That's just being realistic.

Tuesdays are for Tenderness, for the little things found beneath the rubble:
a flower peeking or a new-dream seeking, even though its subtle.

Wednesdays are for Wishes --- like hoping on that pretty, pretty star,
for something just around the corner is never all that far.

And Thursdays are for Thoughtfulness, on those reflective afternoons,
where all of life hangs between your ears, as your heart struggles to make room
for all the love that's bursting inside of you ...

            (I know it's there!
hiding somewhere ... perhaps beneath the dirt and muck)

Fridays are for Friendship --- to the ones who you know true,
and hold you oh so close, despite all of life's various hues.

Saturdays are for Sanctification from all of distraction's clutter;
an occasion to make small your piece of toast, for there's too much of time's butter,
spreading oh so thin on Little You.

And Sundays are for Sunflowers, and the smile that ensues on even the coldest soul.
Treasure it child, if you ever see it bloom, for she's a fragile beauty that makes you whole.

Yes, my son ... EVERY day is beautiful, and Mondays especially,
for that's the day we praise our Mothers,
for giving birth to us at such a time as this (God knows it wasn't easy)
And no, I don't need to see the Seven Wonders,
to know how beautiful life can be,
for I've got all the splendor I can handle ...

... seven days a week.

Premium Member Your Twilight Years

When you reach your twilight years,
It is important to keep an active mind,
Do everything possible to minimize fears
Leave resentments and regrets far behind,

Try not to dwell on all your pet peeves,
But seek out the positives in your life
Stand firmly for your cherished beliefs,
Avoid headaches from pettiness and strife.

Keep in mind you’ve only your life to live
So, try not to take on the lives of others,
Remember it is always more blessed to give
Through serving your sisters and brothers.

Lastly, try not to succumb to needless worry
Or becoming entangled in all kinds of grief
Take your time, there’s no need to hurry
Old-fashioned rocking chairs bring such relief!

Autumn

Autumn
                a chilling wave
          crunching melancholy
   nostalgic for summer warm heart
shrinking passions of deciduous souls
       perennial strain for blending
                 raking over losses
                     as we behold
                          Autumn

                 rebirth and growth
             a carving golden Nature
mother earth to ripe souls gives birth
       harmonious fall of mellow aura
         a promise of blooming roses
                the poets fascination
                       enrapturing

Premium Member Drumbeat of the Muses

The muses all march to their own rhythmic drum
Or saunter or scamper in their favored time
The poems will come when they come, when they come

Blank paper on desk, pen on finger and thumb
The poet sits poised to inscribe thoughts sublime
The muses all march to their own rhythmic drum

With verve you foresaw untapped depths you would plumb
But zeal slowly fades in a mute pantomime
The poems will come when they come, when they come

Yet do not despair or resign as would some
The cycle of seasons is their paradigm
The muses all march to their own rhythmic drum

Enjoy the down time: visit friends, share some rum
Read poets you love while awaiting your rhyme
The poems will come when they come, when they come

Then, glorious day! Muses sing, dance, and hum
Fresh words fall like snowflakes, cathedral bells chime
The muses all march to their own rhythmic drum
The poems will come when they come, when they come

“Who will not open a gift given with love? Life is a gift, own it and treasure it.”

God has breathed life into me, and I live.
To make this life as fruitful as I can, I shall strive.

Life is a blessing, a treasure to cherish
I should make it a celebration with every moment to relish

Though life is one of ups and downs with sorrows rife,
With perseverance, I shall try to overcome every strife.

Life is a precious gift we can never forsake.
It is a journey uphill, we must all undertake.

Though life is a roller coaster ride with twists and turns
There is so much in life, each one ardently yearns

Even amid struggles, one can enjoy the beauty of living
It lies in the art of forgiving and in the joy of giving

Also in learning new things, in aiming at new heights
In relishing new scenes and in savoring new delights

Every day I take a new step, a new chance,
To improve the quality of my life, its worth enhance.

With a beacon of warmth and a touch of grace,
We can light up lives and bring a smile on many a face.

I wish I could fulfill my purpose, to light up the dark
To make a difference in some lives and to leave a mark.

As long as I live, I should see the power within,
To love, to learn, to grow, to strive and to win.

Premium Member Whispered Melodies - First Place Contest Winner

In the twilight's golden glow,
Where the sighing breeze does blow,
A hushed song fills the tranquil air.
A melody that's beyond compare.

The trees sway in a graceful dance.
As the wind weaves its whispered romance,
Leaves rustling in rhythm, so serene,
Nature's orchestra, a living dream, keen.

The moonlight bathes the world in silver.
As stars twinkle, a celestial quiver
"The silent song of the sighing breeze"
Of love and longing across the seas,

Through valleys and mountains, it softly glides,
Bringing solace to hearts that have cried
In the stillness of the night's embrace,
The breeze's song paints a picture of grace.

Whispered melodies, gentle and true,
They speak of love, of hopes anew,
Of dreams that blossom under the moon,
And the promises whispered in lovers' tune.

In every rustle, in every sigh,
The breeze tells stories of days gone by.
Of lovers' kisses under starlit skies,
Of stolen moments and passionate ties.

It carries secrets from distant lands.
Whispered melodies from afar-off sands.
The hushed song of the sighing breeze,
Brings peace and comfort and puts hearts at ease.

Better days
Is all good

But is there

With sparkling stars of gold
Make a wish, maybe it will change your destiny
The universe is enormously, find your own shiny amulet
Take a deep breath,
and never forget how blessed you are
Everything has a meaning

Did you know ~ ... an adorable little secret;
