The echoes of that day,
Choke the flow of moving on.
Tattered memories...encased,
...of loved ones who have forgone.

We miss our sons and daughters,
But the Good Lord called them home.
We must embrace Thy course of time,
For the winds of change have blown.

Though America still weeps,
We’re still the home of the brave.
I’m proud to be from this land,
Where the flag still proudly waves.

Premium Member To Where You Are

Across the miles to where you are
beyond the highways, however far
chasing love inside my dreams
daring to believe you were there for me
even if I may never see you again
forever in my heart I will tend, and
gather my vivid memories of you
how we met under skies so blue
in summer fields beside the sea
jasmine scents wafting in the breeze
kindred spirits, that we were
love was born, our hearts were pure
much was said with only our eyes
neither noticed the dimming skies
over the course of time, we knew
parting had to come, winds blew
quickly towards the eastern shore
restless longings were no more
sullen skies drew us apart
tangled torment gripped my heart
until then, I thought you were mine
verily, I despaired our sad decline
when you sought to go, you left
xenial beginnings were now bereft
yearnings for you, I’ll never forget
zeal for you in dreams I’ve kept.

Premium Member Angelic

Outside the open window, The morning air is all awash with angels. Richard Wilbur
______________________________________________________________

In a lush garden—bathed in halcyon light,
Where opulent blooms imbue the night,
An ethereal glamour—a dulcet spell
Unveiling secrets no tongue can tell

From heaven’s realm—angelic choirs
Descend with grace; their voices inspire.
Their reverential hymns ripple through the air.
A pure melody—beyond compare

Devout and innocent, their presence sublime,
Their angelic might shape the course of time.
Few people realize the power they possess.
Guiding us through—life's intricate mess

Music, they say, is the speech of angels.
A divine elixir that our souls entangle.
With each note, they weave a tapestry of love.
Filling our hearts with blessings from above.

Protecting angels of life, unseen yet near,
Watch over us with a love so clear.
Though they may fly high beyond our sight,
Their eyes are always upon us, shining bright.

In their leisure, they glimpse what we do.
With pure and sincere devotion, they sue.
They view our struggles, joys, and fears.
And offer comfort to wipe away our tears.

To love for the sake of being loved is human.
However, sincere love is divine, not an illusion.
Their devotion is unrestricted and boundless.
Graceful momentum—spatially senseless

So let us embrace the angelic symphony.
And let its harmonies set us free.
In their songs, we find solace and peace.
A glimpse of heaven's grace that will never cease.

Premium Member I Saw God, but Now What

Line of inquiry:
“Yes, I affirm, I have seen God
But He appeared and then disappeared
This knowing that transcends mind, left me awed
But until what’s imbibed is assimilated, by fears I’m seared”

Once I felt the power of God
It seeped into me like lightning,
Illumining the track it traversed
It settled somewhere down,
Within the vibrations of light and sound.
In my heart a delectable music swelled.
My life was deluged with song.
His guiding light led me through devious paths.

When was it that I lost connection with that power?
It happened gradually without my knowing
In course of time, it got veiled and eclipsed,
By the darkness of worldly desires.
I was caught in life’s swift current.
Wishing to stay afloat, l drifted,
Into the midst of peripheral comforts,
Like one chasing the deceiving mirage of the desert

My ego bloated like a balloon
I walked on stilts that I forgot the feel of my feet
I felt the stream of love narrowing into a trickle
And then drying out completely.

I was busy making money
In my mad rush after power and pelf,
I threw my values to the wind
Soon storms began raging into my life.
I was befriending gnawing anxieties and strangulating fears.
My dreams shattered like glassware
My world lost its rhythm and I lost my calm.
Life seemed to go on, leaving me behind
Never more I could endure the desolation
That hovered over my me like a dark shroud
Like a mother's despondency at the loss of her child,
An emptiness enveloped my spirit and being.

I knew it was not too late,
To recover all that I lost.
I decided to trace my steps backward,
And travel in reverse gear.

In all earnestness, I turned my downcast eyes heavenward
Soon I started breathing with greater ease
I began getting healed in love’s gentleness
Binding me to God through an unshakable bond

Like sunlight arching through the dark
Once more He came into my life to light my interiors
Now he resides within me, not at the periphery as earlier,
But deep down as a living power, changeless and timeless!

Still I Am Not

Silently you smiled from far peeping me
Smiled silently with mind of lonely
Smiled from far seeing me
Peeped through the chink of door
You’re looking what I had done
Smiled with luscious lips of bending new moon

You smiled on my wearing lungi on fatty belly
From far you smiled soothingly
But when I wanted to be closed on your smiling
then you moved away other side,
You’re smiling on my activities that-
what I’d been eating, what I’d been drinking,
what I’d been watching, what I’d been reading
You smiled and peeped always me

when I wore official cloths
then you smiled,
when I got out to office
then you smiled
smiled an innocent fair smiling
from far silently
When I came back to home from office
I found you staring on me with adoring smiling,
You looked at me through window sash
How I’d been changing the official dress
How I’d been refreshing myself
How I’d been showering by tube well water

You stared me standing under coconut tree
Lamp of evening lit up in your home
Also my mother lit up the candle light, hurricane
Over the sky, God also lit up the evening light
by the full moon and twinkling stars,
When I went to your ingenuous staring
and said on that true light- I love you.
You left me without reply by smiling
This was much known to me
and you went to your own home of mind

By course of time- All moments had been passing on,
passing on the day, the week and the month.
You, only, gave smiling,
Smiled on me with lovely face, graceful lips
This immaculate, flawless, graceful smiling
I loved very much,
I said on uncountable true lights,
on flawless shining of sun, many times-
I, only, love you. Do you love me?
No answer you gave me without silent smiling,
without sight of mysterious eyes,
without hypnotizing power of dancing body
on your went back zigzag path of smiling

(Continuous)

Transformation

Oh translucent the body takes it's ovoid shape,
An amalgam of life from inside it's bloated state,
Pro choice and glistening,
latching in a confined space of creation,
As outside light penetrates to it's depth and core,
Taking energy blessedly to it's segmented form,
Steady development throughout the course of time,
White connecting with the embryo as the blastoderm grows,
From a yoke source of life in the balance and throes
Great challenge in this incubation period,
With passion for life and birth,
A deep search for air cells breathing the first inhalation of spacious scenes
We've crept through evolution with the same stages reached,
We step past our dreams shell shocked we walk on by,
Casting this shadow over death like we are all god like,
No type of crack shows how perfect certain skins can be shed,
Blessed with new life like hatching from an egg

Premium Member Coconuts

On sandy beaches and along fertile riverbanks,
In fecund soil and in lush green plantations,
Coconut trees stand tall towering into the sky.
They are benevolent palms at the service of generations.

A coconut tree is a marvel of creation, every part of it can be used.
Its umbrella like crown of leaves shades us from sun.
Its circular, heavy cluster of fruits enrich our bodies.
From coconut husks, coir mats and ropes are spun.

The milk-white kernel inside the coconut shell,
Is used in curries, cookies and for extracting oil.
The water inside is a healthy, delicious drink.
Its vast net work of labyrinthine roots holds the loose soil.

Its sturdy trunk is used as a support for anchoring small boats.
Coconut shells in the hands of a craftsman turn into attractive curios.
Palm fronds are used for thatching small hovels and sheds.
Thus, from foot to crown, its uses and charms are various.

If one is stressed, it is therapeutic to de-husk a coconut.
It is a fine exercise and an ideal way to de-stress.
If angry with some one and wish to tear him limb by limb,
Break a coconut and it will take away all your noxious distress.

Still if you don’t feel comfortable and are with tingling nerves,
Scrape a coconut bit by bit and by the time you finish,
All your anger must have slowly gone as steam into air,
And in course of time, you will see it thoroughly vanish!

Poem For My Poet Friend Joyce Johnson

Thank you for your friend request.

Poem For my Poet friend Joyce Johnson.

MY WARM BEST WISHES FOR 4TH JULY TO ALL MY AMERICAN FRIENDS.

Dear Friend Joyce

I am unable to write back to you
Or even to send you a message
Due to technical reasons
I am sure
You would understand
Why.

I may leave that platform
In due course of time
Whatever big and famous it may be
Where freedom of writer
is controlled and crushed
Without any reasons and grounds
by the selfish interests of
The new rulers of internet and
By its prejudiced guards.

In my long associations
With my PS friends and even other friends
I have never used any language or
even words against any person, country, religions or
friend both male and female,
so it would not be a loss to me
Rather I would have more time
for my Musical Yoga, Paintings, Song writing and
Singing etc and other things.

With best wishes for you and
your good health and
Best wishes for all my poetry soup friends.

The Origin of the Universe

Once there was nothing called universe,
From a Big Bang the present universe was born,
The earth was small in size,
The temperature of the earth was in extreme condition;
At first it was thousands degree Fahrenheit,
After the course of time it came into present cool situation.
At first there was nothing but carbon di oxide,
From the sea water oxygen started to mix with the earth's atmosphere ;
The tress started to be grown for animals abide .
That time dinosaurs started to be roamed everywhere,
Suddenly different types of esteriod started to fall on them.
They started to run from here and there.
Once they were disappeared because of the extreme heat,
Some animals were capable to survive;
Rest of them were alive who were able to avoid natural threat.
After that extreme period of time,
A unique beings started to raise their heads called Homo-sapience.
They started to make their own regime.
Now we are called human being,
We are super creature indeed;
We will destroy our own world for the results of continuous bombing.

Premium Member Opps I Slipped Up

Back in the day living a riotous life in London
I used to walk along Park Lane almost nightly
I was living in Paddington but went out in Mayfair
Often as I passed the Grosvenor Hotel there was a ball.

One Night appropriately dressed I gate crashed
Very soon I was asked to dance a waltz
and as we dipped and bowed around the floor
I found out that he was a policeman.

Quickly saying ty I moved on to my next partner
Only to discover that yes he too was a policeman
this set a trend I had only gate crashed the police ball
tail tucked between my legs I beat a hasty retreat.

I suppose the lesson I learned was very important
always be honest in all of your dealings.
It had a large impact on my life over the course of time
taught me values that are now second nature.

Door To a Life

Built to suit, a perfect fit
a joining squared and plumb
This and all the more we seek
for life's perfect companion

And then it dawned upon my mind
to compare a little while
how wood be whittled and pieces of metal
are crafted into function with style

The strongest piece of joinery is not the grade of wood
But rather the one that's fashioned together
Two pieces "made one" that would
support and strengthen the other for better

And share in the load that they bare
Welded and melded so perfectly fit
in the joy and the burdens they share
It's a marriage of the perfectly knit

Similarities of strength or texture
the details that make us what we are
mixtures of colors blended together
best and better to be joined than apart

People like tools and the carpenters bench
sawdust floating round the air
Building and tearing and building again
the proofs in the tool called a square

For all the angles, fractions and lines
blades that break and nail curling signs
You can see the heart worth investing
in patience for the course of time

The perfect fit is not a trip
of hope so's, maybe's and try's
It's seeing the plan and knowing you can
It's holding it all in your hands

If your lucky enough to ever find
that perfect companion to share a life
fashioned and squared head to hind
beholding finally for that which you strived

Oh the pride, what it must be like
Like building the very door to your life
The one through which you'll come and go
from now till the end of your life

(For my bestie T-bird on your wedding day- under the arbor made of doors I made for your alter. How dearly I love you)

Worldly Woes

A little man stood at Heavens gate
with a sad look on his face.
He explained why he wished to enter
such a Hallowed place.

St Peter loosened the golden chain
and slid open the silver bar,
then listened to the story
with the big gate slightly ajar.

Please hear my tale of worldly woes
the fellow sadly said.
I ask that you not turn me away,
but grant me eternal joy instead.

When I was only nine weeks old,
I fell out of my pram,
and ever since that sorry day,
I've been in jam after jam!

I had whooping cough when I was one
and chicken pox at two.
German measles also laid me low
and once I had the Asian flu.

My legs were broke in a car crash.
My skull was cracked as well!
When there was a risk of falling,
it was always me who fell!

I've spent six years in hospitals
with many kinds of ills!
I rattle when I'm walking
cause I take so many pills!

My wife ran off with someone else.
My only son was jailed.
My wages were impounded
for promises that failed.

I fell asleep while smoking,
the consequence was dire.
The firemen got there pretty quick,
but couldn't put out the fire!

I lost twelve jobs, I lost my teeth.
I also lost my hair!
In course of time, I lost all hope
and only found despair.

Then I hit the lottery!
Three hundred thousand bucks!
The mailman found me dead from shock,
ain't that just my luck!

St Peter said "Come in my friend
and share a greater fate".
"I can't " the little man replied,
"My foot's stuck in the gate"!

His bad luck didn't end right there,
cause he heard St Peter tell,
"If you don't know how to play a harp,
you'll have to go to Hell"!

AMEN

A Fun Filled Secret

7/16/2014

An adventure I went
on
Full of laughter,
cheer and fun
A country themed day
that I will
Talk about, secrets
wont spill
First dressing like
cowgirls do
Tight fitting jeans
baby blue
Next a shirt with
hanging tassels
Snaps, not buttons,
prevent hassles
A belt buckle so
cute and shiny
Not big, a little
less tiny
A cowgirl hat on top
my head
No brown, pretty
pink instead
Special ordered
boots to wear
Fringe and spurs put
on with care
All decked out to
have a night
That will be a pure
delight
My first country
club experience
Filled with care
free innocence
Music gets my feet a
tappin'
Not knowing how this
just happened
Somehow over the
course of time
I was in a dancing
line
Not drunk, but
losing all my
balance
I was doing moves so
freelance
Soon I was sitting
on a bull
Hanging on tightly
up until
Someone cranked it
up to high
I shot off into the
sky
My singing is way to
scary
To do any karaoke
Now I'm on stage out
of tune
Surprised I haven't
cleared the room
Hours go by and I
find
I can not leave this
behind
Making a promise to
come back
Everybody loved my
act
Of a first timer at
this place
I never left a
single trace
My secret is safe of
course
That I am really a
HORSE

Premium Member Autumn Light In Derbyshire

Dark skies lurked to press upon 'em
To Autumn they succumbed
Trying to change was superfluous
By twilight, the hills were overcome

Fingertips of trees reached upward
Hoping to prick the clouds
Windy spirits then flew upward
It was heartfelt and profound

A kindhearted spirit disappeared
Beckoning the leaves to glow
They could not refuse adherence
When down came the shadow

Rain embraced green hills abruptly
Drizzling its dainty fingers
Across grasslands prematurely
Where puddles would linger

Dancing like the deities
Of pagans long ago
Nature shared its transiency
And shone itself aglow

Autumn carried its winds above
Not knowing what to think
About nature's labour of love
To which humans are linked

The night solemnly awaited
Dusk's passage to morning
The course of time was fated
For Derbyshire's adornment

Animated eastern midlands
And the good people there
Enchantment set them free
Whilst Autumn filled the air

With colourful leaves everywhere
The Autumn brings them joy
Loving hearts are found in the square
Bright new daylight galore!

Premium Member The Primal Fire

A light has always been glowing
Close to the heart of the universe.
Over the course of time and evolution,
We as mortals have lived in fragile transience.
Yet flickering in the soul
Is the sublime, primordial sparkle.
In this ember born of the primal fire,
The transient contains the immortal
And the infinite caresses the finite.
Through the morass of earthly chaos,
The crystal beacon shines, and
Its power has not been extinguished.
