A new species

Cunning cheating
and then fleeting,
Machiavellian many
crafting and contriving,
Deceptive dishonest
frankly defrauding,
Slaughtering slaying
bloodshed of massacre,
Conflicts and combats
enmity and warfare,
Uncaring unfriendly
barbarous and brutal,
Savage sadistic
Cruel and unsympathetic,
Cold hearted cold blooded
Insensitive Inhumane.

Contrary to what
God had created,
Is it some new species ?

Perfect Day Quatern
So quickly gone our perfect day,
softly fading in ombre gray;
we loved, lying in grasses sweet,
mist mountain shrouded and discreet.

Pink pearled the clouds like china clay--
so quickly gone our perfect day--
dangled above the mountain rim;
pearled the wine kisses I offered him.

We strolled hay scented meadows, fair;
he...

Poetic Soul
My keyboard is an extension
of my soul; every key I punch
reveals muted intimacy
by contriving words and phrases
given voice through  recitation.
An intimacy in peril
especially in poetry
where I lay bare emotions and
thoughts to catholic criticism.
Nevertheless, I do not write
expressively for consensus;
if I did, the first bad...

Premium Member English Weather Forecast
I pored over my weather maps contriving a prognostication,
Of the weather forecast for the consumption of the British population.
It comprised all the towns, villages and shires from A to Zed,
To include the burgs of Wookey Hole, Wyre Piddle and Guys Head!

The towns of Crazies Hill...

All the Liars and the Cheaters
By Franklin Price
2/11/2016

All the liars and the cheaters
Have not yet come and went
A lot of them are still around
Some run for president

They're Party independent
You can see them everywhere
 Some hide behind religion
You can even find them there

Present themselves as...

In the Garden of My Soul
In the garden of my soul
there fell a seed
wondrous smooth
and dark as evening’s shadow
from which emerged a tree
tentative
its stem twisting uncertain from the soil
as a lover estranged
contriving an oblique path to bliss
unassuming seeming
yet in every subtle arc and incline
betraying desire by apprehension
its bark was gray...

Birth of Healthy Newborn Greater Than Cumulative
Yuletide pageants vis a vis merry go round revisited

healthy progeny regaled being alive
analogous to children ecstatic twenty-five
on December exhaling joie de vivre at dive
in into neat stack of wrapped gifts, when...
what! out of thin air more arrive.

Panoply of mystical elements of holly day house...

Your destiny is sealed

You have always been our loveless master
scheming and provoking our disaster
Spinning tales of Scylla and Charybdis
Concealing truth so it could not uplift us

Contriving stories hiding true wisdom
Justice will be served when you're imprisoned
Disguise yourself as God while casting stones
but in...

The Moon Looked Like a Cat Burglar
The moon looked like a cat burglar that crisp November night;
clear skies but for one dark band splashed across his sight.
His guise arcane and sinister, and try hard as I might,
I couldn't help but wonder who he'd prey upon with spite.

An air...

Welcome To Delhi
Revived to pop out as an empty nester
To accompany a newfangled life
Maneuvered all the way for a change of state
I dropped my bags and willed at country’s metropolis.

The heirloom edifices occupying moiety of acreage
Glossy crisscross roads and extended overpass
Spic-and-span subway and the rushy...

Urban Sonnet - From Youth To Heaven
FROM YOUTH TO HEAVEN
~~~~~~~~~~~~
O the joys of youth, learning natures ways.
My desire, become more self-sufficient!
Natures larder, delights fill all its trays.
Each day I become much more proficient.
With learning, becoming more diligent.
Find many things in life belligerent
Why is life all so confrontational?
With nature, it's all about...
Enlightenment
Initially intended as a lyric, I wrote this in iambic pentameter.  I'm interested in any
feedback, much appreciated.  Enjoy.
Your distant posture softens when I near,
Despite the pledge that you are quite content.
That smile returns, your eyes shed their veneer,
Remembering those wild nights we...
Yule Tide Pageant Merry Go Round Second Spin
such heretics pitched headlong
into fiendish frothing furnace
forcing obeisance toward primitive popular
identified, honored, glorified father figure
expressing devotion re:
decking the halls of the mountain king,
whence boughs of Juniper sprigs contriving wreaths
sanctifying twisted brambles via springling angel dust
(actually cremated remains of malefactors
stripped of habiliments)...
