Your destiny is sealed You have always been our loveless master scheming and provoking our disaster Spinning tales of Scylla and Charybdis Concealing truth so it could not uplift us Contriving stories hiding true wisdom Justice will be served when you're imprisoned Disguise yourself as God while casting stones but in the end your charade will be known You weave your legends of god's immortal but truth will break your shackles of control You are just a hideous imposter Who would want to worship such a monster? Apocalypse' veil will be revealed By God's command your destiny is sealed John Derek Hamilton July 31,2020

Hello John - I turned to this entry because of the title and there was no disappointment. I found this to be well thought out in word choices theme and format layout. Hi John, another powerfully real write from your pen. So many people out there wear disguises, trying to fool us all the time. One by one there disguises are ripped away but their damage is vast. Satan walks amongst us, as does God. In the end, good shall win over evil. My destiny is already sealed. What shall be shall be but I shall ever walk with God. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Satan is defeated. God made sure of that. His influence is still out there, tempting us. We must not follow the ways of Satan. Our Destiny will be sealed with Satan, if we do. Powerful words my dear friend. ~ Brandy

His destiny is sealed, strange how some put faith and hope in myths and legends and those so called gods, all they do is detract and distract us from finding the truth, I appreciate your thoughtful remarks

Thanks Charles it's amazing how people put their confidence in myths and fables as if they are true, they are nothing but a distraction leading people away from God's truth. You're right we don't have to worry if we are on the right side!

A few years ago when I'd first read the myth of sirens I was led to a page about Scylla and Charybdis. It is an interesting notion how the supposed myths manifest themselves in the actions of humans. Then again, the conequences of those actions manifest in from the supreme power. Only truth shall prevail. Loved the thought provoking sonnet John. Keep writing and inspiring :)

Thanks SO there are many like you in the world, turned off religion because of very bad things done in the name of God, but I know you have not turned off of God and that's the most important thing. Those humans who wear disguises to mislead and abuse others will meet the same fate as their master, as my write shows!
