Now I’m thinking, while sitting on a chair,
There is something that I would like to share
I fear my mind is dense
Can’t make out common sense
How come they call it common if it’s rare?

When people aren't right
 I head for the door.
I no longer ask, why, or what for??
 When people escalate
I look for the gate, because
you know things aren't going that great..
I did not cause their anger
I did not cause their pain
 I'm not their therapists
 there is no monetary gain..
I avoid their toxicity by escaping the vicinity..
 It's not that complicated
 their anger can't be negated..
don't be a target and don't be dense
just remove their audience, it's just common sense.

I'm concerned with the lack of common sense:
notably missing when it's needed most.
And while its absence comes at our expense,
nothing else can match it, not even close.

It once would mitigate anger and greed,
and yet, lately, it has been a no-show.
I pray for its return to thought and deed
if it's still relevant; I'd like to know.

It once untangled impossible knots,
for common sense could cut right through the lies.
But it's missing; try connecting the dots
for it's why anarchy is on the rise.

Common Sense

A gift
So rare
But rosy

The Death of Common Sense

The death of common sense has been under reported lately
As a coups d'état has taken the world by storm.

Now
Upon his throne "stupidity" holds council with callousness, greed , hate and war ,all of whom smugly agree it's seem like a darker future a head .

Stupidity calls for Suffering , but she is busy in foreign lands at present , so war is sent with a message to bring her home.
Meanwhile callousness and hate shall have to do her bidding until she returns .

So the word goes out, common sense is dead ,
Stupidity and it's ways now rule us all !

Light ribbons in one eye we fear
Precede headache pain that's severe
Drug firms clearly bribe
Physicians to prescribe
Migraine meds but I'll imbibe beer

Authors Note: If you are in a safe place (not driving or operating machinery), this home remedy could be better than what the doctor ordered. I keep a few medicinal bottles ready in the fridge for just such an emergency. Lime is optional.

The clinical trial: An authentic "migraine" headache is accompanied by blood vessel constriction. There can be 15 to 30 minutes of shimmering lights in one eye followed by a headache from hell. Having learned that alcohol dilates blood vessels, one day I tried chugging a beer just after the shimmering started. The lights subsided and there was no headache. Beer just may be the second best medicine ever created.

Common Sense

Cannot find it anywhere, that I look,
One has it when they are born to know.
Many think they have it, from a book.
Many feel, they have it, with such glow.
Only thing that can be lost and never found,
Never to be returned, thoughts are bound.

Sense of commonality, can rule the world.
Examples surround us every day, unfurled.
Now that you think, you have not lost it.
Send this to a friend, who has not one bit.
Each day, it is gone, true revelations sit.

Common Sense

Common sense putting dents in ya system,
Upon Zen, forgotten Presidents and Christians,
Yeah I dismiss them, I’m a contender, defender of my realm,
Surrender ya pretender, center of reality? Fallibly conceptualized,
Here ya find my rhymes, a society offender, wanted dead or alive,
The Five O, Oh no, fed by the rendering of greed to survive,
Sore eyes because I can’t deny this life, Never baptized into Christian Lies,
But I gotta be truthful, unfruitful untruthful powerful ties arise,
A man made image in the sky? The garment is the disguise,
This worlds plan is damaged in an age as time perceived flies by,
I thrive like a Pharaoh, said to bleed the same blood, go hide,
I’m designing this rhyme, its time, the tide is coming in,
Spinning in sin as ya spin, just a pinch and now ya spun,
This writing is just for fun! I’m the Sun, and here’s what I’ve done,
Run run yo, all yall and all you hoes, from these flows, you can’t see,
You need be seen, obscene scenes of the future to come and be,
Dreams of the unseen, glistening beings seeing nothing collectively,
Seems no one has been effectively feeling this negativity,
Paranormal activity activated, dealing fear or revealing,
Your normal state of mind concealing what it means to have feelings,
I’m dealing out light within the spectrum of human beings,
Beings being beings but not seeing or hearing the language of the world,
Our consciousness continues to be hurled, jumbled thoughts as we tumble,
Stupid and killing all the bumble bees, confess we are a mess, can’t be handled,
Am I just a word vandal? Well rooted, prevailing pleasing with ease and increased,
Knowledge as I stand still, wounded human code decoded into unwanted stimuli,
Artistically using art and its rules, founded and announced beautifully,
But can’t you let me be, I need to see sanity within this world of fools,
Foolishness is proclaimed by the foolish, dishing wool over the eyes with distracting tools,
Infinity to nil, instilling skills to rebuild what’s lacking, so hear the drill,
You need to head uphill and fulfill ya purpose before ya mind is killed,
Distilled information into common sense well spent and surviving,
Exercise well emphasized advice, otherwise you will never be spiritually wise.

Common Sense

Choosing a course of action that you have
Options may be abound but are they right
Making the right decission should be easy
Maybe you should just stop to think about
Once you take that course of action do you
Need to think it through before you take it

Some people take actions without thinking
Even when they know that's the wrong one
Never stopping to realise the consequence
Sometime people actually lives to regret it
Every actions will always have reactions to

Knowledge Vs Common Sense

When she grew up and went to school
She was very smart…but a fool…
She wanted to learn everything
She studied all that books could bring.
But it was made clear so very soon…
Her common sense was out of tune.
Her book knowledge while oh so good
Think on her feet? Oh, if she could!
To learn from the past as we grow,
Not reciting facts just for show.
Book knowledge will build a good base
But logical thinking has its place!

On events from books you cannot rest,
Paired with common sense is always best!

Common Sense

No one is asking questions
afraid what some might say
Everything's become taboo
why you can't even pray
Say anything, about someone
in question form, I mean
They'll try to have you chastised
and make a great big scene

Tolerance? There's no such thing
you're either "left" or "nil"
There is no room for common sense
life's sliding down the hill
My Mom? My Dad? They weren't the same
different as can be
That makes them bad? That would be sad
cut down our Family Tree?

How are you going to pass a law?
that pleases all man kind
Get the scalpel out at birth?
or will they be assigned?
I know some things don't sound real good
in fact, not good at all
If you can't sit, to hash them out
you've run, into a wall

A thousand questions to be asked
and these are just a few
It would be nice, to break the ice
talk common sense with you
Remember when you're talking though
leave "Blindfold" in the car
If we can't see it, eye to eye
we won't, get very far....

Premium Member Common Sense and Decency

Common Sense is uncommon, I'm told

       while Plain, Old-Fashioned Decency

             is neither plain nor old

Common Sense, Sense of Humour

Common sense once rebuffed her close friend—
Sense of humour gone nigh out of hand,
The dame now looking tame,
The dance they danced looked lame,
Yet, patched up when, what a perfect blend!

Poet’s note: common sense, since it is not so common, often creates some humour when absent. One without the other looks tame, and when they marry in a happy marriage the two make a perfect blend.

Who claims to be the casualty distorting a mother's right
firstly to be addressed for what it means
begin with the truth it never fails justice

To address mass murder for what choice it claims to be
abortion's the only way to lose one soul mortally dangerous
without mercy takes away every living value
and cardinal right from a child's life

Air - Anxiety - Sapphic Stanza

Parachuting has its advantage – Freefall!
Flying, screaming, scareder than ever prior
Chute won’t open! Now I am coming, gliding
Hope MY chute opens!
