Premium Member The Wintered Soul Among Wisteria

One need not read her horoscope to know
this woman's fate, and though wisteria
cascades sweet blooms of lavender like snow
outside her door, it's still Siberia
pervading the dimensions of her mind,
for not one fickle thought or patch of moss
can thrive where bleakest shadows are enshrined.
No bittersweet, no dew drops. . . only loss
surrounds her heart. She tries to reminisce,
but like a barren continent grown cold,
she can't perceive one particle of bliss.
She's clasping grief and cannot be consoled!
Wisteria's perfume is in the breeze,
but in her soul remains a winter's freeze.

A Night At the Desolate Harbor

The ship in the habor on silvery seas
Lay vacant outspread 'neath the glassy moon
Drifting in cold whispers of the night
Like a drunk man shriveled on clasping knees
In the loud echoes of the crawling winds
The brave ship nods its old head
Restless on the empty stage of the bay
When lonely stars bleed their light
On what was once earthly sublimity
Now silence and haunt lingers there
A graveyard of bones and sadness
Beside the desolate harbor
Rustling in the cold distance
Laboring with a haunting melody
That invades me in shivers of night.

Sadness defeats
The happy spaces of my mind
Then your sweet kiss would descend
Oh... your sweet kiss would descend
As a fragrant memory
Thawing the pain
In the frost of my heart.
My soul beckons your presence
But silence became my loyal friend
And Emptiness -
The sorrowing of my hours
That slithers through the night
As the brave ship nods its old head
Crackling and desolate
In silvered breaking waters
'Neath moon's limpid eyes
My hands descend
With crimson buds of April's flowers
To rest upon your tomb
Of eternal silence.

''Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.''

"Thy Beautiful Heart : The Blue Faery’s Baby"

'Tis brave the heart
of a lionhearted cub
When Butterflies
aren’t pretty
Aren’t all what they seem

Monsters that do steal teeth
from the Blue Faery's Baby

A glass jar full of
plundered
precious Pearls
of White Ivory,
not sweet honey bees

The cub
must remember
the power asleep
in thy magic, the
strength of pure
LOVE

Stand firm clasping it to
thy beautiful heart,
thy beautiful heart -
that was borne
from pure love

all of thy
beautiful dreams
to believe
to dream
red life rosy and real

“Walk with courage”,
she heard her say,
"Soft footsteps always follow,
They’ve never walked away,"

"In thy dreams
I guard thee still,
from wolves
and monks
all monsters -

men and women
gone astray"

In that strange
contained place
that place of the Fey,
both are walking
side by side

together
in pure Light,

a strong power,
in conversation
they hold,
deep of the mind,
the two from the Fey

"All will come good
on the morrow

For the
Blue Faery’s Baby,
there is to be
no more bleeding
Black Sorrow

Love, hear me now,
Time is tumbling
Love - pure and strong,
with all of thy
beautiful heart

Time,
tis no more time,
to be borrowed.

Love's kiss
from a mother's
pure heart
breaks forever and now
the Papillon Spell".

(Lovejoy-Burton, August 2018)
for my daughter,
Georgia -

Close your eyes
when you listen to the music...
it adds more power to the spell.
I am always with you. Always.
ALL my Love - Always.
The Blue Faery.

Premium Member Aspiring Love Blossoms

Smiling mirthfully, relishing amber twilit theme,
Bedazzled in musings, reveling memories agleam,
Oh! how you charm, gazing eve’s blushing arc,
Where scarlet hues delight, igniting love spark
When impulses, moonlit, passions playful cajole
As we stroll daydreaming trekking verdant knoll,
Ambling in romance, two sensuous souls extol;

Just after the setting sun merges with the sea
And sky above stages a concert of stellar glee
When seductive vibes on wings of zest spree
Questing for, stealthily, doting hearts’ consent
Chasing exaltation, love-struck hints augment,
Exuding scent amatory from emboldened heart
Intoxicating affection smitten feelings impart;

Clasping amorous moment together we found,
Where tick of blazing hearts is the only sound
But for the clues tiptoeing, arousing carnal bliss,
Pinging fervent longings yearning endearing kiss,
Enchanting intentions of eager, flirtatious night
Courting your approval, ecstatic reveries ignite,
Sowing dreams euphoric to bloom in fertile dawn
Aspiring love evermore, blossoming on and on.

Gasping
rasping
clasping
grasping
condemned man's last gasping, rasping breath,
hands on the noose clasping, grasping- death

Premium Member Unbecoming

long scarf of a night
clasping the bracelet of a moon,
what emptiness is this when i have you not near?
the distance of a thousand galaxies collecting stars
 unbinds me,
when once i could tumble upon your
 nape so bronze
 as if there to fly
 swept by every lingering breath
borrowing some endless moaning of time:
a stewing chorus of sacred yet raw vignettes
 coming together then parting...
farewell, a few more steps closer
and i shall disown my soul and bones under
 the cloud's dark awning
to silently memorize your fading eyes
entombed in the burial of an unbecoming night.

Rose blossoms divine~ splendor exuding delight,
Ebullient is their stance, colorful is their profile,
Ecstatically they rise, flaunting exuberant smile;
Grandeur flower-bouquets charming your sight
Lauding scented whiffs fragrant blooms impart
As silken petals unfold, lip-synching your heart.

Upon arched trellis dazzles honey-gold royal rose
Forming vibrant arc of winsome welcome-pose,
Charming realm of crimson, scarlet, coral, themes~
Seductive blooms enchanting passionate dreams,
Standing tall on long-stems wallowing in sunrise
Romancing love-vibes beaming through your eyes.

Bountiful clusters tout reddish-purple fuchsia blush
Oscillating rosy-buds to lyrical melodies of thrush
Where, chasing nectar, bees and butterflies rush,
While daydreams-enamored, clasping silence hush,
Reveling indulgent stimulus in cooing hints of dove
Strumming in our hearts mellifluous music of love.

Premium Member I'll Blame It on the Moon

A shattered heart; tears spilling like rain
No one would ignite the flames of my desire
To this, I swore an oath to never love again
until the kiss of a friend, kindled in me a fire

His touch was not expected, but felt so right
He quoted poems of Byron and then his own
Poetry 'neath the stars, I fell in love that night
I gave myself eagerly; my heart did condone

We walked along the shore, clasping our hands
He pulled me close, then we began to explore
A time of awakening was not among my plans
I quivered in his arms, wanting so much more

My oath was then rescinded, but I'm not at fault
I'll blame it on the moon, the glimmer of stars,
and passionate kisses that unlocked the vault
to rid my wounded heart of its jagged scars

Premium Member Silent Pain, Screaming

Prolonged sounds of shrieking sirens warn
Where death of normalcy people mourn
As he hugs wife and child close to his heart,
Ambivalent of woeful day’s agonizing start:
Unjust war burning down sanctity of life
Clasping distressed lives in atrocious strife.

Neither they have hope, nor relief in sight,
Where eerie silence frightens bleak night,
Misery crowds his way on hellish train ride,
As dread of the unspoken bawls teary eyed,
Spotting piles of rubble, bodies scattered,
Buildings, playgrounds torn and shattered.

Kissing goodbyes, he ventures to the field,
Despite enemy’s strength refusing to yield;
Determined to defend his nation’s pride
While rage of anguish he struggles to hide.

In a makeshift bed, as she trembles in fear,
Kissing her child-asleep, she sheds a tear,
Having heard of war-crimes, uttering a sigh,
Overcome by trepidation she tries to defy,
Shivering in consternation of silent screams,
Collapsing in agony of dismantled dreams;

When she was told her husband has died,
Agitating a turbulent storm howling inside
Where boiling anger, scorching grief collide.

Exploring the Sky

By clasping the lightning string
I reach the sky
Wondrous view there, I spy

Sitting on the fluffy clouds
I roam everywhere
Outspread clouds, my magic chairs

Crafting shapes out of clouds
I drive a dinosaur,
Sometimes rabbits, lion and omnivores

Goading the animals
I explore the sky's grandeur
And search for the heaven's door

Seeing a big dark black figure
I shout aloud
He does magnetize all the fluffy clouds

No shades of blue, all black now
I sit on top there
Wondering, is everything fair?

Suddenly the thunderstorms drum
I cascade down
As a raindrop and reaches a town

On seizing me
A child in the town, grins cheerfully
And the entire town, receive me gladly

Glimpsing above
On seeing the dark black figure, they bow
Gratitude for having his darshan, they show

Not all angels wear white dress
Plenty of them are in disguise
I perceived!!!

Premium Member In An Old Cathedral

She knelt upon a plank, plain oaken
(sable cloak, her mourning guise),
and sensed the breath of distant sighs,
pale shades of pain behind blue eyes…

While clasping close a cross-like token
(holding hope for those in need)
she prayed her Lord "please intercede,
my woes be washed, my soul be freed"…

Archangels, in the skies evoken
(candles flickered, shadows shivered),
through the panes, the moonlight quivered,
summoned forth, the wish delivered…

Forgotten words he once had spoken
(dimly echoed ’neath the dome)
swept sweetness of the honeycomb
o'er distant realms they used to roam…

At midnight's knell, in dreams awoken,
memories of love unfeigned…
Though loneliness of grief remained,
she still held hope… hope hadn't waned…

And when the dawn had early broken,
by the font, in peace, she lay…
As sudden as a sunset ray,
the light of life had slipped away…

Premium Member final dance - a leaf's liturgy -

watch me!

oh, watch me dance!
al these months I have waited
twisting in the wind with the others
      clasping tight
        doing my work

helping to feed The One
  creating sustenance to give
from the air and rain and sunlight
      how diligent I have been!
        my ribs strengthening

veins surging
  with their life-giving fluid
singing with the other Little Ones
      when the breeze tickled us
        yes, I've waited

the wait (and work) has been blithe
but, oh, so much MORE joyous
    is The Dance!
      the work is complete
the One is fed for the winter

the way made for those that come after
  now is Autumn
    now we dance, joy!
      now we dance and die!
oh, do not fear for me, I am bliss!

the dance is everything!
the dance is our end, yes
but oh, such a sublime end it IS!
to bounce and float and drift!
to spin and dive and soar, resplendent!

to show my bright colors to the earth and sky!
is there any farewell more wonderful?
is there any requiem as exquisite?
      just ONE dance
but, oh, how divine it is!

no other dance is like mine - none!
none of my kind will drift as I do ...
we each have our own time
we each have our own sway
each of us, a grand danse de la mort!

and it is perfection!
oh, to inhabit the wind with such color!
to dance such a death, divine ...
     such a wondrous celebration
of the new life to come ...

with Springtide!

Blue Star For You

Tonight I leave my pillow,
to walk in dreams of you.
Where sentient sails doth
billow in stars the deepest
blue.
Around the Moon to Saturn's
rings, capture the warming
Sun. Tip toe the moonbeams
to Venus who my love hath
won.
Engulfed in a myriad of
stars are beating hearts and
wings. To herald all thou
art to me and the joy it
brings.
In this night where rainbows
hide from the beckoning day.
I indulge myself in truest
love and within your heart
shall stay.
Clasping the bluest star to my
pillow I descend. To lie aside
this heart that our dreams may
blend

Dead Winter

The path was long and winding; the snow falling, not making a sound.
His hands thrust deep in his pockets.
He hated being here with the wind howling all around.
His fingers clasping a golden locket.

The snow made it hard for him to see.
The ice wanted to freeze his tears.
He didn’t think he could stand this pain.
They had been together so many years.

The trees met overhead, the snow had difficulty getting through.
He didn’t find relief though; the wind cut like a knife too.
She was dead. he had to accept it and the time of year was here.
How many had it been he didn’t know, but it was definitely more than a year.

It was here again, and it was a night like this, fighting the falling snow.
She told him it was over on this very spot, where their love did grow.
The fight they had it was vile, he could not stop, and she pulled away.
She tried to run, he could see in her eyes, but then he made her stay.
He grabbed at her, the necklace broke and she let out a cry.
His fingers clasped the knife handle, even though he didn’t know why.

It suddenly flashed as though with a life of its own, and the snow at her feet went red.
He looked at her beautiful body lying there, and he knew that second she was dead.
He came back every year, always surprised, that they had never found her
When there she was standing, beckoning him, the snow swirling around her.
He rushed to where she stood; he knew the spot so well.
Her arms were open wide, his breath seemed to stop, his chest began to swell.

Was this forgiveness, was this release, would he now be able to sleep?
She was here, his mind he thought he was losing; he might be able to keep.
He held out the necklace, still with the broken chain.
She wrapped her arms around him and they were suddenly one again.

His feelings, were in turmoil, he didn’t know how this could be
Then he felt his blood begin to boil, and surround him like a red sea.
Her smile was wide; an icicle glinted as it entered his heart so deep
She said you are with me now, but I promise you will never sleep.

Awakening ...

Reaching hands
fingertips touching
Clasping.
      Finally.

Pull me down
to golden depths of you
where quiet awaits in breathless peaceful.
Wrap your broken mind around my
grateful soul
and hear the healing songs of
God’s spirit ....
hummingbird wings as they kiss your cheek
     spring breezes through autumn pines
      incoming tide in twilight sleep
      winter’s first snowfall ~

open your eyes
remember mine
and
    take my hand ...
