TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS

Have I met trouble when I met your ocean eyes
for beneath that steady gaze, I reach the highest sky?
Slothful moon turned grey, so the stars: tired and pale
when I behold your white angelic grace. . .

Distant and unfamiliar you may seem,
I wasn't afraid to run, run and catch your gleam
without a guarantee of us becoming one,
still, I pursue to behold you, my woman.

I am no Romeo nor you are not Juliet
but allow me to prove, I love immaculate...
Hundred miles and hundred days we may separate,
yonder, seasons change, my heart to you, I dedicate.

Overseas, each time the ship reach the shore,
immediately like thunder, I trip to the door
for me to send my love letter or find a phone
excited I am, the opportunity, I don't postpone!

Pity at that time, no internet or cellphones yet
so the instant a signal peeps, it's you, I first check.
My ears blush and so I am in fever love
each time our exchange of thoughts began.

Then again while we talk, sometimes, the signal fret,
or without proper warning our chats end to wreck.
Coins gone and so time on shore is done, again I want to dial
My sunshine smile not turning to the river Nile...

My heart on somersaults when they hand me your letter
like a little boy with his favorite toy, I keep it near my chest
awhile I am on reversed cardiac arrest, I confess.
Winter feeling I have blown and within is a summer weather,

ten months or a year in the middle of the sea
with only your letters and photo I kiss, I, in jubilee!
Years passed, I came home and I search your address,
my intentions of wanting to marry you, I will express.

Your parents, unsure of me, they probe too much.
How many women I touched-- I gone to bed with
for am a sailor, they thought to any girl I resort,
I was stunned but I remain calm and quiet

as I know myself, loyal to you and no one else.
I tried to woo them and prove, my only love is you.
God must have blessed us-- as their stone heart melt,
a year later, my dream of being your husband came true.

The Evening Could Not Be Better

I fork my medium rare steak
And put it into my mouth
Everything is settled and nice
The evening could not be better
My husband insists I say the prayer
After all, he hasn’t the tongue to speak
I whisper, “God was never there”
And I listen for the slightest shriek
But like God, they are all silent
In unison of emptiness
The little ones eat so little these days, dear
With their silly ipods and cellphones
Daddy will agree in drones
They’re useless little pigs…
All of my children are so quiet
So well behaved—SILENT

You are so well behaved tonight…
I eat them all raw and stare
Daddy always wanted me to say the prayer
But without you…without you there
The evening could not be better
You useless Pig…

Crackling, crunchy leaves confetti the ground
as skeleton trees rattle their bare bones.
And gusty winds howl like a soulful hound
while kids mope indoors, glued to their cellphones.
Indistinguishable, they look like clones
and seem as enthusiastic as stones.

Winter's approach gets labeled a bad thing,
covering everything in snow and ice.
And migrating songbirds no longer sing,
they've left before Winter exacts Her price.
But changing seasons is like adding spice,
just think of a snowflake as something nice.

All the mosquitos have frozen to death,
and life gets swathed in a snowy duvet.
Winter entices with a frosty breath,
enjoy Her; don't think of Her as a threat.
Indulge in all the Winter you can get,
there is more to life than the internet.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter are real
gifts of Nature, designed to make us feel.

Police Brutality

Police brutality
should not be
ignored, but
exposed.

Excessive force
is being used on
innocent civilians
over petty ****.

Protect And Serve
they pledge, feels
more like a purge
instead.

Hot headed cops
above the law,
breaking the laws
they sworn to uphold.

Seems more like
thugs dressed in
uniforms.

I see them everyday
on cellphones driving,
parked at fire hydrants
on non emergency...

Going through red lights
without their sirens on,
with no care for human
lives at all.

Bullying, patronizing our
society, causing fear, and
bloodshed.

When will this nightmare
end ?

When will police brutality
come to an end ?

Premium Member Who Did It

Many children asked for funny stories before bed time.
  We did it.
More children love to hear praises than excuses.
  We did it.
More and more children demand for rewards
  than punishment.  We did it.
Most children want cellphones than parents...
  Who did it?

Connection

We all stopped looking to the sky.
Unable to look in our own mind's eye.
So caught in all the distraction,
We make ourselves unable to imagine.
You make your T.V. remote more important than the song you wrote.
You look at the clock to check the time,
But then Netflix says "No you are mine."
But why?

I would rather die,
Than to stop myself from living,
From the media making a killing.
Giving you all their propaganda,
In their new episode of Hannah Montana.

We use our cellphones to connect,
But are more separate last time I checked.
Kids at the age of six,
On their phones like they're on rocket ships.
Waiting for the new Call of Duty 6.
Now throw Xbox One in the mix.

How can you not care?
That your kid does not scare,
When he sees a guy with a gun,
And a victim unable to run.
This kid is blind!
From the media taking over his mind.

But I digress,
Technology is a mess.
Expanding our universe but limiting our minds,
To the people we were before we spoke lines.
Family dinners are now family Words with Friends winners.
Unable to have a conversation without a phone for liberation.

We are trapped!
In a world made for progress in fact.
Then why doesn't Congress just act?
For the place where society does lack...

Connection.

We are all connected but you don't see,
Because technology has taken your liberty.
Taken your sight from out of your mind,
And put it on the IPhone 5 production line.
We all have something in common,
Something we can't share in a com-link.

We are human!

And as a matter of fact,
Humanity on it's own does not lack.
We the people have the power,
To travel across the globe in just hours.
So please don't misunderstand,
Technology is good in one hand.
But in the other we need to be free,
So we can be connected in liberty.

Funny Man On the Moon

heres how i see it
and heres how it is
living in this world where half of it is advanced
with indoor plumbing
television
stereos
cell phones
computers
and a huge chunk of the globe is not
part of the world still has a hole in the floor for a toilet
and we say ignorance is bliss
oh funny funny man on the moon
the joke you really meant in the Hollywood basement
of one giant step for man
and one leap for mankind

Have we not clued in yet?
Do we not live blind leading the blind?
Am i the only enlightened who realizes
that we were in space probably 70 years before we made it public to the world
and Nasa is full of it
oh funny funny funny man on the moon
why is society so gullible to think
that the governments technology hits the mainstream market
before they use it for years and perfect it and work out all the bugs
and then hands us something that just looks faulty
and we fall for it hook line and sinker

give me a moment
funny funny funny us
half the world buries their waste
and we flush it away
half the world has technology and half of it is in the stone age
and yet we seem to think
that whoever invents these things has no ties
or affiliation to putting us under their thumb
i mean come on do the math
they landed on the moon
how they tell you they send sattelites into space is a truth within alie
they made up 50 years ago
and were falling for it today

let me play
i get it
society is dumb
I'll write something yesterday
say i wrote it today
no one will know what to believe
I'll even put a cowboy hat on
I'm sure those cowboy western movies
they had just as many cameras and cellphones
but didn't release them in the market

consider yourself a fool
if you don't think they don't have something in their pocket full of tricks they are
working on right now
they're going to sell to the future
and no one gets the famous joke
the man on the moon told to the mensa geniuses
but a hush fell over the crowd
and I'm sure there was consequences for laughing
and chances are even they were blinded by the bling
life and blind leading the blind
such an easy concept to grasp
and man on the moon
your a funny funny funny man!

Technology

Falling head over heels for the ideas
That compromise our youth today
Were they sent to bind us?
Laptops, cellphones, and video games

Leaving the air full of corruption
Jumbled onto a tiny chip
Days beyond a massive explosion
Of knowledge exposed by our fingertips

A constant need on a digital ride
Among the screens we gossip and play
Have our morals been justified?
Free to be led astray

The universe slowly droops her head
In shame as her life force fades
No longer a simple breeze, instead
A constant buzzing is upgraded

Why write poetry?
Someone asked again;
Why breathe?

~~~~~~~~~
Snail sliding slowly
Grass verge camouflage;
Morning psalm
~~~~~~~~~

Morning crowd
Busy feet congregate;
Fiddle with cellphones

~~~~~~~~~
Downtown office complex
Rush hour traffic;
Urgent commotion
~~~~~~~~~

Food court terrestrials
Sea of hungry faces;
No place to sit

~~~~~~~~~
Work day blues
So much for so little;
Make ends meet
~~~~~~~~~

Modern day woes
So little time,
So much to do

~~~~~~~~~
Healthy constellations
Mötley yoga class;
Fitness sublimates
~~~~~~~~~

Morning newspapers
Friday through Sunday;
Terminal indigestion

~~~~~~~~~
Words in a rhyme
Lost in a thought;
Inconsequential
~~~~~~~~~

Only crazy people write
Wasted resources;
Sober conclusion

Population Control

Death by firing squad is the old way
Using gas chambers, that area’s grey
Dropping big bombs, now that’s child’s play
Compared to the methods they use today

They’re killing people in their own homes
With tasty treats full of hormones
Microwave radiation into their bones
And straight to the brain using cellphones

Right out of the womb there’s a vaccination
If you got a “problem” there’s a medication
They got the water supply with fluoridation
And chemtrails in the sky crisscrossing the nation

In this day and age it’s hard to hide
From G.M.O. “food” and pesticide
Or animal meat with steroids inside
Consuming this stuff is like suicide

Death rates from cancer are enormous in size
Every few seconds somebody dies
We need to know truth instead of the lies
It’s time to wake up and open our eyes

Too many people need a hospital bed
And to get one costs some serious bread
You must stay conscious and one step ahead
Before you find that you’re the one dead

Eastern Orthodox Coasters

single malt sanity,  sanitized, ionized,
   with a little communion salt.

sprinkle replace, sprinkle to taste,
sprinkle with haste to the holy face.

  yet still ground balsa wood icons
perfectly semitrical work to preserve
lesser linoleum countertop grains.

 Like in winona minnisota where the midwest
vacuum sealed religion remains intact.

renewed morning by morning
 by olive shaded stanley thermoses.

Displaced only on occasion by rubber
gripped cellphones and coffee mugs.

winona Minnesota....

 where the Mississippi is the only
 true dialect.

home to sugarloaf bluff and
the basilica of saint stanislaus.

that lesser known bishop of krakow
who may have been martyred but first
 got stoned at fourteen underneath
the sugarloaf.

See him now stacked up and slid down the bar
 the bishop of all cardboard regalia.

Holy under a golden pint ring halo of IPA..

Baggy Bloomers

Baggy  Bloomers
Did u ever stop to wonder about the baggy ass old bean .
It was in the sixties when we had the skin tight jeans.
When it was cool the skin tight jeans and body shirts so fine.
When you could see so shapely the women were sublime.
The army had the baggy ass the bloody Bombay bloomers.
The soldiers hated baggy ass they looked like crap on tuna.
In the seventies fashion brought out baggy ass no one would buy it when.
It wasn't cool no Hippy fool would have it wear it then.
So brainwash the public its cool, just wear this floppy sack.
With your baggy knee length shorts a flopping forth and back.
Shapeless bland and worthless,rag bag ,bloody pppp.
No class or style about it, a hanging on your rack?

Don Johnson
As the old Aussie soldiers would say why would you want to be a baggy ass....

What Annoys Me

What annoys me......

I have a list as long as my arm
The things that irritate and cause alarm!

Please don't breathe down my back
My patients will not stand for that!

When you sit and drink your tea
Sit in another room and not near me!

I can not stand to hear you swallow
It goes right through me, if you must know!

I go to the freezer to find some food
But the chill it gives me creates big moods!

And don't get me started when hubby starts sneezing
Not just once but twenty times - ever lasting!

I irritate and annoy me too
But my man, he understands my views!

I'M Too Old For This

I'm too old this, family gatherings
hosted during the holidays
where family think hashing out stinking crap
is the highlight of evening

Highlighting each other's shameful dirt
airing out dirty laundry, and
throwing dead bones from the closets, upon
everybody's heads is not my idea of family bonding

A thin line of love, bringing together, can't bond, when
sucker punches, legs sprawled, white panties, and
cellphones going viral on YouTube is madness, when
dad sneaks off to get his gun, fire a shot, ending it all

The calls and texts are still coming
will you be coming to moms tomorrow? not a chance,
I'll be any place , but having me alone time
eating somewhere drama  won't be
