Serene Spirit

A woodland finds calmness through her presence,

gently brushing the red garlands

with flights of hundred moths.

Remembrances ---Tanka

We lay on the grass
Softened by love's rhapsody
Deaf,to breeze that chimes
Recalling all youthful dreams
of candle light and stardust.

Carlo Santana's Black Magic Woman,
in the 60's and 70's gave magic to his
band..

Drugs were part of this movement it's
fair to say. Getting high for many,
while listening to their music, was the
common way

   Peace signs, beads, bell bottoms,
psychedelic shirts, desert boots, and
long hair and marijuana, is what was
in style. Looking back and being part
of that history lifestyle, makes me smile.

   Peace protesters against the draft,
and Vietnam war. Jimi Hendrix, Peter,
Paul and Mary, The Beatles, Bob Dillon
The Beach Boys,Led Zepplin, Rolling
Stones,Elvis,Simon and Garfunkel,
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Neil Young,
Leonard Skynyrd, Eric Clapton, Carly
Simon is all we heard.

They kept our soldiers in Viet Nam
mentally occupied. It helped them
overcome their stress, and brought
some pleasure to their lives.

Rock N Roll Music had an impact
everywhere.The melodies and lyrics
represented a culture reflecting people,
who really cared.

  Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith,
Neil Diamond, Barbara Striesand,
Jim Croce made the scene. Years later
Disco and the Bee Gee's came dancing
in.

Disco died, it didn't last long, during
this time Rock N Roll kept rolling on.

Rush, The Eagles, The Police, Peter
Frampton, Boston, Reo Speedwagon,
Blue OysterCult, Fleetwood Mac, Bob
Seger, Steve Miller band, we listened
to. I can't forget Journey, Bruce
Springsteen, Foreigner or the Who.

Bon Jovi, Creed, Madonna, Red Chili
Peppers, Van Halen, Black Eye Peas,
Were hot then. Rock N Roll songs, will
keep on playing, and be appreciated
over and over again.

Time reflects the Lyrics in the songs,
of the good times and the wrongs.
Woodstock brought them all together,
a lasting bond to last forever.. .

 Homeward Bound Simon and Garfunkel
was the favorite song with the soldiers. Also
John mentioned The Lion SleepsTonight by
the Tokens. Robert Lindley also mentioned
their groups that were left out. Please read his
comments below. I also thank Robert for his
valued input.

I just want to add that the 60's and
70's were my personal favorite years.
I say this because people really cared
about the war and each other. They
were right...

Over Tea

When ladies doll up for fun
Over afternoon tea,
My rosy pots brew of laughter
Cups sipping flavored gabs,
When ladies doll up for fun.

Premium Member Apology To Misguided Feminists

Clinton on steroids—Fiornina
She shreds truth like a hyena
Let's make the world right
No—she’d much rather fight
As the killer in the arena

Can Hillary have the right stuff?
She couches words not a tight m*ff
If her clothes be stripped
See the mummy from the crypt
Quite rough to see her in the buff

For billionaires—Super PACS pander
Their “MO” is to ooze slander
So join with Bernie
Sanders' great journey
Since he's Mr. ethics and candor

Author's Note: There are two women running for the 2016 White House. I only wish that there was a more qualified woman running for whom I could vote--like Elizabeth Warren. This past Friday I went into Manhattan and saw Bernie Sanders speak. Recently, he spoke at Liberty University, and the event is searchable. BTW, I see Hillary and Carly as sisters in deceit. There is something very wrong with the body language, speech and ideas of each. They both are owned by big money. My apologies to the hard core supporters of these two beastly hypocrites.

Rain Man

we got a lot of rain man's wearin ray bands tryin to shake hands
with baked fans it a staged plan to get carly rea pants in front of a video tape.
stumblin mumblin bumblin fools trying to get paid
To say f this chick and f that one
whatever absurd word that flows right off of this tongue
got a dirty mouth, here is some orbitz gum
im sweatin bullets and i cant even afford a gun
but its so free if i want to abort my son then take his lungs
so i can be one hundred and forty one
and be here to see the thwarting of the sun

mr. obama who've worn out your welcome
But what do I know? I'm this republicun
who thinks all girls and boys should become
either a monk or nun and never cum
and pay for all of our condoms and pregnancy prescriptions
Or am I christian who cant have fun
because I know hun its wrong to drink coke and rums
till i am drunk and wait for the ring to get buns
then go condemn kids with weed and pokemon

And its sad to think this what our kids believe
cause this what they preach on the MTV
and their heart beat beats to each tweet and re-tweet
till a pick leaks online then they move on to vines
whatever better trend setter that stimulates the mind

Premium Member My Name Is Caryl -Kah Rill

My father’s sister was a Caryl, so I was the one,
To inherit the Welch version of Carol said, KAH rill.
I thought the name was unique; it gave me a thrill,
To know I was special enough to be second to none.

First grade was hard for me to grasp the spelling,
Constantly wrote Carly, dyslexia was a doozy.
Mother shortened my middle name to Susie,
No one realized the difficulties it was foretelling.

When I reached my teenage years, Caryl was my name,
First names were required; by then, I could spell it.
It still gave others problems though, I must admit,
Cheryl was my teachers favorite, nowhere close to claim.

Others viewed it as Carl when written on paper,
I could not fathom where it was even close to my name.
I soon grew to ignore the disgust and fight the shame,
Letting it dissipate into air like thick water vapor.

No matter what I am called the intent will not vary,
Love and joy amid my life is what I wish to leave.
Its uncommonness adds to the meaning I believe,
For love and joy I have found in the man I did marry.

A Golden Girl

For the first time in the history of the Olympics
Has there been someone from the U.S. at the time
Who has won the Individual All-Around
In an Olympics that was fully attended
That was until Carly Patterson came along
And became a golden girl in the gymnastics world.

Yeah I know that Mary Lou Retton
Won the All-Around title twenty years ago
But those Games had countries to boycott them
I’m not saying that she would have lost the gold
Because she earned it but we’ll never truly know
And then with Carly’s you knew that she beat the best.

That wasn’t the only medal that she won
However it was the most prestigious
But she earned two other medals also
Which was a team silver and an Individual silver
And also with one other woman in gymnastics
Became the most decorated women gymnasts in the 2004 Olympics.

Which affects him neurologically, physically.

He studied at S Cheshire College to hitch,

A grant to buy a new wheelchair - perfectos,
From the Manchester Airport fund, relieved.

Richard Hoskins, head coach in Andy’s club,
Said “The purchase of the racing wheelchair
enabled…members to train intensely [hub],
…in the lead up to various competitions,” [fare].

Love Is a Killer

Pain, Pain, Pain
Carly Button

Sit up in his bed and breaks the alarm
blood flows to the brain and he tries to stay calm
but the pain doesn't go away that quick in the morning
even on the inside the rain begins pouring

and the lights are off but they're on in the mind
Of the man who devoted two years to a lie
On his face he feels every kiss, knows every line
Bruises on a heart that has grown smaller than mine

Eyes that dance with memories hard to forget
Black spot on the white page of love and regret
No matter how hard he tries, they stay on his mind
Images of a happiness it took them years to find

Every kiss they stole under the midnight sun
Every time he looked at her and said “you’re the one”
Spun a dagger of pain that tore at his chest
Like a demon that had no reason to rest

She would be happier with him, he tried to think
He tossed away her picture and poured another drink
Who was he kidding, there was no life without her
His life was a disease, and there was only one cure

So he stepped on the chair with the rope on his neck
And wrote a letter to the girl that he could never forget
With hands behind his back and a soul done crushing
He said goodbye to a world that gave him absolutely nothing.

Beneath the Grass

The solemn air of deepened peace
Peace beneath grass where you had lain,
Lain along angels' sacred field
Field upon which dreams were embalmed.

Roaming

I sense life stirring once again
through daybreak's tint and mellow rain,
echoing out bohemian thrills
while nomad's pulse begin to restart--
as instinct's voice reel in my heart

The roaming swirls footsteps, long
and conga drums pound upbeat songs
that now, the hunt for newness grows
savoring gifts, old and refined:
this curious flair romps in my mind.

All pilgrims move me like a trance
in firelight's endless shadow-dance,
while eyes delight in trails not blazed
the rhythm clicks an earthy jive--
by wandering, I fly revived!

The Tall Ship Public House

Ahoy there matey a lager you have sought
Sail up the Severn river and dock beside the port
Stroll past the tall museum a dry dock and a barge
A function of the sailing class the Severn bore is large

The parkings wardens ready now to fine you all once more
Big Mike is there and waiting where a table by the door
Carly gal a wonder babe prepares and serves to seats
A holiday on Spanish soil and camels on the beach

Johnney boy a man to charm United he will shout
But lose that day and sorrow say the blues its all about
There's Mickey man a ska ska fan a cockney all through out
A gentle man a loyal fan and thats without a doubt

A busy bar with happy hour a salad lettuce limp
A Signature dish a seafood deal crevettes a squid a shrimp
The finger bowl and hoover red and Henry on your trail
Keep to the wall the bedroom calls a scream and you'll be pale

A Captain man of industry the dishes one mile long
Accountant rare he struggles where the till and and latte strong
The tip sir plaese with regular ease a trip a holiday
The Spanish Isles again the Tiles a pool a drink away

The secret trip a face book quip the boiler never knows
What stays in leitrim stays in Leitrim but not in Ventur o
Lets go again and Clara send a saving she will know
But drink your ale a party sail a Tall ship you should go
