Best Boysenberry Poems

Boysenberry

Boysenberry,
Boysenberry,
Sweet cherry pie,
I want to eat you before I die,

Blackberry,
Raspberry,
what have you done,
you produced an offspring
that is tasty fun.

They say you covet
the ones you see,
one day the boysenberry
will covet me.

You are perfection personified,
You are the fruit that keeps me alive,
Boysenberry, boysenberry,
how can it be,
I'd rather eat from your bush
than fruit from a tree…

Premium Member A Very Berry Kiss

He’d take dates back to his place for late-night
pancakes smeared with golden butter, doused
in luscious boysenberry sauce.
Halfway through this small repast,
he’d lean forward, letting
moist berry lips move
softly over
his lovely
lady’s
mouth.

The Still Or Leave It To Beaver

As I rounded the hill
Face to face with the still
That I'd only heard rumors spoke of

With no one around
I sat myself down
And proceeded to sample the stuff

As sweet as honeydew melon
Got my feet to a geling
Made me feel like I did in my youth

Sat with a dumb gaze for a while
Then got the biggest of smiles
When it came to me what I should do

So I went with my plan
And opened a stand
Right there on the mountain side

When word in the forest got out
I never had any doubt
That all of the critters would be stoping by

You should have seen them all guzzle
As the squirrels ordered doubles
Then proceeded to tell wild nutty lies

It was quite the fiasco
When they brought out the cowboy hats and lasso's
As the party went well into the night

They paid in nuts and berries
Which was fine by me
With them I made different flavors of shine

In flavors I made 32
So I wouldn't get sued
By Baskin-Robbins who has 31 at this time

From all the flavors I made
Boysenberry was the fav
The raccoons made up a dance called the boysenberry crawl

Which was a big hit
At the discotheque
The beavers built in the early fall

We made a deal
I would sell them my swill
For a little piece of the pie

We were all getting rich
I have to admit
It's quite the relationship, the beavers and I

Of course the beavers got greedy
You know how beavers are needy
Couldn't leave well enough alone

Figured they had the right
Who's going to pay for these lights
That make this the best disco in town

They started charging a cover
Which didn't go over
As well as they would have liked

Plus they doubled the price of the booze
Which left little food
On the woodland creatures tables at night

Things went from bad to worse
When they started to curse
Me, "The Man" for the troubles they had

I barely made it out alive
By the skin of my hide
When I packed and hit the road mighty fast

Things had been going so well
Before it all went to hell
And me and my still were forced to leave

Now still to this day
You know why I always say
That famous line, passed down in time
"Leave it to Beav"

Premium Member Bountiful Berries Bring Bliss

Beauti-licous boy -
brawny, blushing blackberry -
Banquet for big bites!
Bare yourself; bedevil me.
Be bad, Boy, and make me beg.

Rare raspberry rogue -
recipe I can’t resist;
revelry’s repast!
Rattle me. . . Then ravish me.
Rambunctious rascal. . . . No regrets!

Gentlemanly grape -
Berry that grows gracefully -
Good for the gourmet!
Generous, gallant, gentile.
Gaze on me, and go. . . . .slowly.

My sweet seducer,
I savor strawberry scent
sinful. . . sensuous.
Shiver me beneath silk sheets.
As you saunter off, I’ll sigh.

Bodacious berries -
from blue to boysenberry;
from bashful to bold,
and from breakfast to bed time. . .
Bountiful berries bring bliss.

Just havin some fun here to the melody of a song written in 1945 called Frim Fram Sauce, made famous by Nat King Cole and many others.

You gottcha Black Bottom Cheesecake,
Meat pie that Mom makes
and sure to satisfy -
you gotcha freshed picked Apple
and cinnamon spice
with some icecream on the side.

If Boysenberry don't getcha droolin'
or a Shepard's pie steamin' hot,
maybe Coconut Cream or Mississippi Mud
or a crust topped Chicken Pot.
Now, if Boston or Banana Cream don't do it,
then Blueberry's gotta hit the spot
and don't forget Key Lime or Lemon Meringue
with a dab of whipped cream on top,
or lip snakin' pies like Peach and Peacan
or Pumpkin or Pizza - help me. I can't stop!

I woke from my dream and did some braggin'
as I looked my wife in the eye.
Then the last dessert I ever ate
was a large piece of Humble Pie!

There In the Meadow

There in the meadow where the morning dew kisses the first light
the boysenberry makes love to the coming day.
the sun shone upon her wet petals,
she spreads her corolla,
attracting suitors to her aroma filled stigma,
no longer is she protected,
take me! cries her pistil erected,
she is ripe and anxious to receive,
her ovary swollen with anticipation,
her petals burning for the new conception,
there in the meadow the boysenberry makes love to the coming day…

cheers!

Fun With My Surroundings.....

Happy weepingwillow's form
fuzzy fir tree squirrels dorm
barking dogwood wag their flowers
cuddly cattail's cotton towers

Booksmart reed's bend with the flow
golden sunflowers brightly glow
double pair tree's sweetened fruit
treasure chestnut bamboo shoots

Goofy daffydils love themselves
blinded seaweed tuber kelp
highway rhododendron bloom
smoked hamster spin escape assume

Oatmeal mushroom darkened lives
tinkling bluebells ring for hives
stumble bumblebee's awkward flight
girls and boysenberry playful fight

Robber copper's chase most wanted
stomach's abalone poolside flaunted
friendly killerwhale swims the sea
fountain penguin waddle weaves

Enjoying nature's gifted humor
when I get bored....she brings me closer to her

BLUE
Sky's hue color
U blue flowing soft tropical waters quiet
the color is summit roses elderberries
the color is sounding like a foghorn
sounds of school bells
it takes me to a broken traffic light
taste of castor oil
taste of spoiled meat
tasting boysenberry pie
blue feels like coarse toilet paper
Blue feels like a rubber ball
Blue feels of solid sand castles on a cold Beach
Whist emotions are term--

Boysenberry Eyes Awhirl

Boysenberry Eyes Awhirl

	A Caseworker’s Nightmare

In a corner of the room
scribbles of loose yarn soar,
interweave and dive

like coasters at a carnival.
At dusk, rats slither from the drain
and barrel through the room

stirring atom puffs of dust
beneath the floral paper sprung
tongue out from each wall.

Tails wound tight, the rats
skate their figure eights
between the table legs and swirl.

They pause to supper on salami bits,
gherkin nodes, crusts of ancient bread.
At dawn, with boysenberry eyes awhirl,

they belly back and leap atop the sink.
Popping sounds announce
the drain has called them home.

Breath of Spring

> > > > > >

I look from my deck at the spring garden
Violets wear the most beautiful gowns
Fit for any girl en route to the first prom
Daffodils below promise the gold storm...

Crocuses said good bye two weeks ago
I am ever thankful for their divine glow
But often you have to say a good bye
Though a beauty of a lily you can't deny.

Tulips - those are forever vain and merry
In suits of emerald, amber and boysenberry
Their beauty always takes my breath away
They will be with me through a perfect May...

Trees dressing up, weary of winter's rage
They are boastful of their newly found sage
Trees have a soul, they exuberate freedom
Nobody can attempt to rival their stardom.

And so - the spring fills my soul with joy
Divine spring - forever my Helen of Troy...
