Best Astrologers Poems
Humanity
The pagan pilgrimage, sun-worshippers frequently make
Latter-day phenomenon, take off on a Bronze Age break
Constellations change position, solstices realign
Tropic of Capricorn peaks, Cancer starts its slow decline
Astrologers reassure us, the end is not bespoke
Astronomers can’t sleep, has a supernova awoke?
Healthy cells deconstruct inexorably from their core
Runaway chain reactions, laying waste forever more
Be that as it must, cosmic cataclysms generate thrust
Comets are slightly nudged, on a collision course with us?
Ancients believed them omens, wraiths of impending slaughter
Those billion ton tailed curveballs, catalysed Earth with water
Modern man searches for answers, drowning in misnomers
Melding PhD honours, with chatbot E-diplomas
Teleporting entangled particles, throws back a hack
Time travelling marvel, rewinds the real Bronze Age back?
Absurdness seems lame, yet concomitantly germane
Hawking conserved energy, by merely using his brain
Newton had a bachelors, kept him celibate stable
He’d balls of steel for sure, alas no bearings on that cradle?
Information cannot be destroyed, only zeitgeists can
Synthesised is truth, in the malleable hands of man
Life’s more delicate, gravitas hidden behind a smile
Like tales that flightless birds, buried heads in denial
Ostriches evolved kick-ass legs, and win the biped race
They dig shallow pits in sand, not complex black holes in space
One squawked this revelation before zooming off to die:
“Humankind’s the sole species, with good reason to ask why”?

I have no peace, no quietness; I have no rest, but only turmoil.”
Job 3:26 NIV
The way of peace they do not know; there is no justice in their paths. They have turned them into crooked roads; no one who walks along them will know peace.
Isaiah 59:8 NIV
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NIV
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:34 NIV
Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
Isaiah 26:12 NIV
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NIV
Indeed ,this world is in turmoil
So, many corrupt paths and roads
Leaving one exhausted from chaos
Waves that would cause a boat to sink
Winds that would blow it sails to tip over
Many astrologers and meteorologist
That could try and tell one the exact
Day that one could sail for calmness
Oh wait a minute this was not in the forecast
Out of no where the waves and winds
Still come out to cause chaos
There is One which has given
One a way to find peace and rest
To bring a calmness not while just out at sea
But in knowing this road leads to Him
For a separation of the old self or worldly things
By the Holy Spirit guiding and molding.
Within, giving a new understanding
That one has nothing to fear
If we could be in the spirit
All are united as family
The waves and winds come but get rejected
Not of own works
But by faith and the will of Christ
To leave one out on a calm sea
Watching the beauty of God's creation
Unfold daily in His presence

EPIPHANY - Acrostic
They came from the East, the three wise men,
Following a star that Prophesied a King,
A Shepherd of Israel Immanuel his name, in a
Stable in Bethlehem Precious gifts and adoration.
'I'd like to worship!', Herod declared.
Until in a dream the Astrologers were warned.
God’s gift of love for New Year, as foretold,
is Christ the heart of Yuletide and light of the world.

Translation of Cuppiramania Bharathiyar’s poem: Kannamma, My Love! (Kannamma En Kaathali) by T. Wignesan
Yet another poem by the most famous modern Tamil poet, written a century ago – despite the commonplace imagery – follows in the original very complex classical Tamil prosodic rules in the execution of initial and end-rhymes, alliteration in each line and in the immediate and successive lines as a whole, the inner rhymes of assonance and consonance notwithstanding. The non-Tamil can best savour these poetic and/or musical qualities by listening to the version of the poem set to music, and here sung by Mahathi:
YouTubeFR: Aasai Mugam Jukebox – Songs of Bharathiyar – Tamil Patriotic Songs (It’s the 4th song down on the left column)
Does not the endearing warmth of our mutual gaze – Kannamma
Reflect the light of the sun and moon alike?
Does not the precious circular eye – Kannamma
Dispel the darkness of the skies?
Dressed in deep blue-black silk – the sari
Inlaid with choice diamonds
While in the core of pitch darkness – glitter
The scintillating stars – Dear-Girlie!
Does not the blossoming grove fade – lit by your
Illuminating smile?
Even as blue-tinted sea waves –your
Breast heaves in unison – Girlie-Dear!
Just as the enticing cuckoo call – your
Sweet dulcet tones invade, My Dear!
O! You unspoilt young maiden! – Kannamma!
The bridal feast* has yoked my heart, alas!
You speak of comparing birth-charts* - Kannamma
What avails such astrological omens?
For those who can hardly repress yearning – Kannamma
Might the stars forebode greater bliss?
If our elders will bestow approval – nuptial
Arrangements we will later formalize
Will I be waiting for you, My Dear – to seal
Our vows – plant I this kiss on your cheek!
Notes
• According to Hindu custom, the brides’s family has to offer a sumptuous dinner to the formally-invited bride-groom.
• Hindu marriages are often contracted after verification of
birth-charts, drawn up by astrologers, to ascertain the compatibility of the bride to the bride-groom.

The Christmas Star
Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem
How brightly you did shine!
Yet how you pale in comparison
To child Jesus' light divine.
According to Christian tradition, the Star of Bethlehem, also known as the Christmas star, revealed the birth of Jesus to the Magi (often translated as “wise men” but more accurately translated as “astrologers” or “astronomers”). According to the Gospel of Matthew, the three wise men were inspired by the star to travel from the East to Jerusalem. They knew from the star that the man whose appearance had been foretold had come into the world. They met with Herod to ask where the King of the Jews had been born saying ‘we have seen his star’. Herod was troubled because the magi told him that a king of the Jews had been born and gathered his chief priests and scribes together to find out where the Messiah had been born. His advisers quoted from scripture, the prophet Micah, and answered ‘Bethlehem, the birthplace of King David’. Herod gave this information to the magi but also determined from them at what time the star appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem to search for the child and to bring back word. The Magi departed “and the star which they had seen in the East went before them, until it came and stood over where the young Child was". (Matthew 2: 7 – 10)
The magi were warned in a dream not to return to Jerusalem so they left for their own country by another route. When Herod realised he had been tricked, he ordered the execution of all male children in Bethlehem two years old and younger, based on the information the magi had given him concerning the time the star first appeared.

ATLANTIS - The Lost Continent
There once was a fifth continent, known as Atlantis. Is it fact
or fiction ? Well that is for everyone to decide. In the
early beginning of modern times there was Atlantis, an
advanced civilisation, that had moonstone crystals and used
them for suppling heat for everyone, larger crystals had the
power to destroy the world, the scientist realised this and
wanted to protect their secret, but the King and his astrologers
found out about this from spies in the kingdom, they were
planning a conquest of the new world and would travel past
the pillars of Hercules to invade and to take control of the free
world. As their plans were to unfold, the volcanoes were starting
to erupt with anger as they had enraged the gods with their
evil intentions, as they were all ready for there conquest
the volcanoes erupted and people were in panic and tried to
flee Atlantis, by this time the island was starting to sink
beneath the waves. The evil king and his men were swamped
by hot lava and ash and were choking on the fumes as the
beautiful cities of Atlantis was doomed. After a short time
the few boats that did escape moved into the distance
the refugees were all looking at the destruction of the once
proud city of Atlantis. Atlantis is now gone as it sinks into
the depths of the ocean. Years later it would be well
remembered as Atlantis, - the lost continent.

The Year 2016 is swiftly taking off,
blasting fireworks weave superb designs;
the Year 2015 was without Smirnoff,
but what are the changes Man promises?
My simple answer may shock you: finding God
and asking Him for biblical wisdom
is the solution to our problems not yet resolved;
He is the cure of this social symptom!
Election's fever is sweeping throughout the Country,
competition is a race of mockery and insults;
all they talk about is changing our society...
what is missing? Who delves deeper in their thoughts?
If I alienate myself and hide in my safe den,
I can only protect myself from the gunfire of mad men
who pledge allegiance with a compulsive mind;
doesn't a true and loving God hate violence of any kind?
There is no other god before me, before others there is Satan;
I only pray to the One who gathers clouds and makes rain fall,
heeding the predictions of astrologers can stir much concern...
nothing is far from the truth: they see those signs on every wall!
The Year 2015 should be marked, " A Big Failure " on every calendar as a year
of spiritual and material needs, also of dangers and catastrophes;
we can have a great resolution for ourselves by drawing new plans...
when all is peaceful and very calm, we may lose all to an unpredictable disaster!

Used to be the Mafia.
Glory to shameful violence.
Off balanced dodgers,
No reconciliation, by Story.
Oh, thank Jesus.
Oh, Thyatira
As time now diminishes?
Now urban dump sites,
Steps into focus.
I can't bare to mention.
Oh, Laodicea.
The place or time, it scavenges.
An untouchable and lofty perch.
Oh, Jesus, Who were the pharisees,
At your contention?
Why are rotten cotton balls,
Running up and down my spine?
A simple act of cunning?
A spine of stained glass?
Oh, Satan
Lean on our purity.
Lean on our purity.
What we have.
Oh, Ephesus.
Oh, Whoever.
Is it too much to ask?
For equal time about covetousness?
As if it never was.
In telling others how to run their lives?
Thank Satan.
My answer.
Why bother?
I know your incapable .
Oh, Sardis.
I'm far from right.
I know it.
Astounding homework abounding.
My dearly beloved canary.
Words so softly spoken.
Echoes a fading token.
For we challenged Davids scrolls.
oh, Pergamum.
But why? Heaven knows.
Dishing out the dread.
Confirmed by those found dead.
What glory in it?
Never confirmed in advance.
Oh, Smyrna.
Always after the deed.
Oh, New Millennium.
Oh, how my canary blossoms.
Discrepancies forgotten?
A beautiful and melodious chirp.
When the astrologers walk into Church.
But Why?
Advance your pulley.
Garnish your ear plugs.
Grease your train, in your yard.
Turn it all around.
Always your.
{Don,t get it yet!}
Nonsense!
Covetousness!
Nonsense!
Righteousness!
God has his secrets.
Fueled by our ignorance.
Seven to twelve.
God loves lofty odds.
Hows that! Summation.
Oh, Philadelphia
Love Jesus, The Church.
Revelation.
Beginning or end? Oh all.

Do you know a man called”Tomorrow”?
I don’t,
not even the astrologers.
He mingles in silence’
A question, to every person he meets.
He smiles, he weeps as we do,
For every other thing.
Yes I had met him, today as I walked.
He was young and handsome,
An incarnation of darkness,
Well, do you know the question he asks,
Take my word…………as I do not,
if till tomorrow I will last.

Blank verse
Born in a nebulae, a spiders web of gas,
coloured by temperature, weighted by mass.
Nuclear fusion keeps them shining bright
just like on that first day when God created night.
So they don’t burn us He cast them way up high
to illuminate our world He lit up the sky.
The coldest stars are red, the hottest are blue
our star is orange to sustain me and you.
A gazillion balls of light, Arcadian fire,
or could they be the angels of Gods holy choir?
Fifteen million degrees keeps them alight
no wonder the poor shepherds fell down in fright,
their signs in the heavens are celestially awed
witness to life through a child still adored.
Astrologers use them to predict our days
while Astronomers study their galactic ways.
A billion years trip past, the mere blink of an eye,
their cores rapidly depleting our stars start to die.
Expanding shells that twist and morph
snuff out the light as they turn black dwarf,
as a swan song gesture, it’s almost over;
in a brilliant flash they turn supernova,
a nebulous cloud of gas is then formed;
the birthing place where stars are spawned.

Stop The Texts, Stop The Wrecks
In a facebook posting today, there is a most poignant episode of a senseless tragedy…
When Leslee Henson and husband David went out for a walk one day in their Utah community..
It was a just a peaceful outing, so perfect in an idyllic setting , and neither had any inkling…
Paradise land was about to be shattered to shreds, tragedy lurked in wait, unsuspectingly…
A speeding car with a flustered lady at the wheel, desperately multi tasking and texting on the go..
Speeding and texting, what a lethal combination, you and me, just about everybody would agree…
This fateful day, March 4, 2013, a sequence of tragic events is to unfold to impact all lives forever…
For astrologers and star gazers, they blame the juxtaposition of the sun, stars and planets forever..
This unfolding of life changing events that were destined to happen on that idyllic sidewalk started..
As the distracted lady driver in the speeding car, busily texting, slammed forcefully into the car ahead...
Poor Leslee Henson and husband David, they never knew how it happened until much later…
That hit car, it plowed into the loving couple, death to a loving husband, father and grandfather..
Plucky Leslee today is on a driven mission, even though she is a such pathetic sight to behold…..
What with head trauma, a fractured neck and back, and 5,000 stitches and staples in her skull…
With her neck in a brace, visible scars aplenty across her shaven head, what an impact she makes…
In spite of her grief and sorrow, this iron willed lady is sending out a most haunting message…
For each one of us, wherever we are stationed, immaterial of the actual location or nation…
All drivers, once behind the driving wheel of your car, you’re in control of a vehicle of destruction..
Be focused while on the road, do not be distracted by that phone, off the phone, mute its ringing..
With 9 deaths a day on the road from distracted driving, stop those texts, you’ll stop car wrecks!

Light Verse
Two eyes can only see limited images,
beyond there are worlds like ours
perhaps more awesome and peaceful:
is there another species more powerful?
How vast is our universe? It puzzles the scientist's mind
and inspires the humble heart; it amazes the believer
and confounds the atheist who somehow seems blind;
I am that observant who strongly believes in a creator!
In an age of vanity where self-ego denies the God of perfect Man,
fools stand on the highest edge of perception mindless of astonishing beauty;
how can one see a creation so immense and still battle within?
Ah! All narrow minds don't allow their consciousness to comprehend infinity!
How vast is our universe? Imagine its immensity! Who is capable of measuring it,
if it constantly extends itself? Doesn't it baffle scientists, astrologers and us?
If life has flourished on earth...wouldn't it be present on a distant planet?
Will they will find it in outer-space? Will this alien race be more advanced that ours?

At my birth, something happened up there...
into the wondrous constellations,
God Himself made them shine brighter
for this new born trascending life
into a destiny of greatness;
and my grateful smile deepened His delight!
Astrologers study the heavenly bodies:
stars, planets and the wondrous constellations
to predict the events of an individual's destiny...
from an ordinary one...to the most extraordinary;
fame is measured by a monetary value,
but greatness is a spirituality laid open to view!
Nowdays simplicity is looked upon with suspicion,
it seems a bit too spontaneous and impractical;
the modernist confounds it and confronts it,
treating it like an incurable disease of the outcast,
but no great man has ever been
ashamed of expressing it and propagating it!
We are building monuments of wonders,
and go far into the boundless Universe...
instead of undoing pain and disharmony,
curing the plagues that inflict this Humanity;
our society is too proud and arrogant...
nothing frightens us, and we still remain defiant!
If your fate favors you over the others,
who only can wish for such glorious moments
consumed in prosperity and greatness;
start cultivating the seeds of wisdom,
seeking out those truest friends living on the Earth...
to admire and share the wondrous constellations above!

The hand that caresses the wave.
The mouth that hardly opens –
breathes in the fresh wind of the stone-pines.
To speak to the stars,
to write out signs –
that can be learnt.
It is known by the astrologers, magi,
illusionists, newspapermen.
All this can be learnt.
To be in conformity
with the expectance.
That is the art
of the skilful ones, the thought of the blind men.
People who sing in the boat
that has sailed off, do they know?
Does the sand remember other steps
but those of the children?
The hand that caresses the wave.
The mouth breathes in – the fresh wind
of the stone-pines.
