The First Texian Macabre Arena Ballad (The extended free-fallen edition)

In another life, is where I first saw your face!
One summer afternoon, lying wounded next to the dead
Unopened gun powder, mass destruction, a land of disgrace
A blood thirst battlefield is where I first saw your face
The sound of war, hidden behind bleeding hands
Crawlers, render their lives giving grace

Jaws of steel, broken, embracing, warm feelings
Summer rain, lungs filled with blood, one last post
Glorious by numbers, screaming blades
Gemstone in touch with the Holy Ghost
Soldiers come in a little close
Crawling, missing limbs,
Twisted nightmare with no ending

Macabre reminder, retracing the aroma of eternal life
Secrets buried like a treasure under walls of sudden death
Revolutionary tears found on a rusted Bowie knife
Lanterns, crackling against the dying wind
Dirt piles of crushed windpipes -- sudden death
Rummage like garbage, the dead Texian
A Falling Alamo Star, taking one last twinkle upon the sky

Forgotten Patriots, I can't remember the names
Written on walls, I can't remember the names
A folktale arena is where I first saw your face
Fairness of stuttered surrender slicing through iron brace
Crawling, with the hunger to live, a clean finish with grace
Exposing, scars needing mother's hands, mothers face

Across infested meadows, the aroma of burning skin
Distant, before Texas and her annexation,
Gruesome, before I lived, Texas and her mortal sin
I pledge, my love, the honor, a legion, I'm a full blown Texian
To Every Forgotten Texian Patriot----- We Win!

Premium Member Freedom In the Arena

hot is the noon sun
melting flowers in the mud…
arena cheers for raw blood

I glare at my foe
his dagger raking bruised knee
…weight of life upon my shield

fierce blow cracks his neck
rudis pressed on stained chain mail…
breath smelling of freedom’s prize

audience casts flowers
thumbs hunger for next combat
more slaves to kill… but not me.

Premium Member Arena of the Brave

Characterized by the early settlement
of the San Bushmen of the Kalahari.
Its patriotic sentiments of profound bravery
echos the nation’s long struggle for independence
well articulated and expressed in the psalm of Axali Doeseb.

This second to the least overpopulated territory
is home to the continent’s tallest elephants
and the endangered black rhino.
It houses the world’s oldest desert
with a display of the globe’s highest sand-dunes.

Quadruple medals from Frankie Fredericks,
remarkable atmospheric space for astronomers and star gazers,
spectacular deserts in the Kalahari and Namib
and the emanating awe from the Namib-Naukluft park
are national prides fixed into global glories.

Next after the Grand canyon is the Fish river counterpart
but the Dragon’s breath stands tall in the globe’s underground lakes.
Populates the most in free-roaming Cheetahs,
accepts nature’s curse of the historic Northern coast
and the sun’s blessing in over three hundred days every year.
‘peace be still’ is the definition of its pride
but still not exempted from the painful whip
afflicted by the demon enslaving its mother- region.

A Poem For the 'Beautiful Builder' At the The Ricoh Arena

She looked really impressive
Small; and full of pride
A nonchalant gait, but sophisticate
Her work mates by her side.

It felt like she'd built it all herself
Her hard hat firmly in place
With a confident stare in the medias glare
an emancipated face.

I wanted to get to know her
I wanted to shake her hand
I wanted to say in my own private way
'Will you take me to my stand ?'

But as the sun shone through the vomitary
something made me upset
Her charms I decline
She'll never be mine
She was smoking a cigarette !

Pasaran miles veranos y primaveras,

Premium Member Arena of the Elderly

My last foray into this arena
Had me living memories, not wished to share
Here I go again, another visit
Into the elderly homes, we wish not

A sunny day, another gathering
Carers working, making things happen
Those in wheelchairs, still smiling
Others in mobile beds, unsure of the happening

A talk by an ancient, born 1917
Strong voice, begging to be heard
Wartime memories, clear as a bell
The telling of a visit into hell

Strong voice, sharing memories
Some good, others not so
I look around the room
Half the listeners, into their snooze

On and on, goes the story
Death and glory, hand in hand
How can you tell such a sad command?
Bravery, such as only you can understand

Bodies of men, only families know
Story goes for one hour
Comment from teller, end is near!
Carers sob quietly, hidden words

Room is quiet as never before
I leave this place, memories flooding
If there is a being, ruling the happenings
Make me safe, send me happiness

At the Philippine Arena

R-ising sun twenty-fourth January
O-pens the day with light;
S-hadows have disappeared,
E-arly morn sets things aright.

C-oal clouds and haze
A-re both nowhere in view;
M-ist and fog fade away,
B-lack sky becomes blue.
O-pen your life to beacon,
N-ever hide your aura;

THE POLITICAL ARENA

One politician is old and senile
Another is a reputed pedophile
The media tries to make President Trump
Look like a foolish uncaring chump

Hoodlums run rampant wherever they please
And touted as heroes instead of sleaze
Some would have America believe
These gangsters should be given reprieve

The greatest nation on earth is in turmoil
With these acts committed on American soil
But a day of reckoning is at hand
We need to ask God to heal our land

The people who doubt that God's in control
Are in danger of losing their very soul
When they succumb to their death knell
And end up in eternal hell

Then for them, it'll be too late
They'll never enter the Pearly Gate
But those who place their trust in God
Will walk streets of Gold where Angels trod

I Walk Midnight Arena All Alone

O' chalice of the world, mystical sphere
Treasures born from ancient raided castles
What of palid crescent moons hanging low
And the broken arm of heart's rabid fear.
Of smoky Indian jade and silver lace
Our God the Painter, seeing deaf and blind
This savage earth is it truly our place.
Dare we peer through the racing universe
Dancing forth forever and forever
Zeus in anger and Hermes in full flight
Gold cup, silver spoon and weather at June
And the venom in a witches dark curse.
Seeking the precious Grail, left behind
Sacrilege, the holy churches sweet wine
Odin in armor drunk as Cooter Brown
Is there true truth and dear love I could find?

I walk midnight arena all alone.
This wind does so chill, deep to the bone.

Give Us the Answer

If your even vaguely religious and
 think God is the creator.
Kneel, clasp your hands together and pray
 because I need the answer,
why the hell is there Cancer?
It has no regard for age, colour or creed.
What is the thinking behind this indiscriminate disease?
If you get a response please tell me please.

In the arena of vice, the man of virtue fell

Was an intrepid gladiator with God's sword in hand

Ready to die was for all of the evil to expel

Gallantly kept fighting till iniquity left the land!

The Spartans

Ancient tales slashed our vineyard,
We were the bloodshed of love...
Cupid fleshed our hearts.

Austere eyesights.
Fierce catch upon your mark,
Am your prey in the love arena...

I escort this frugal lover.
His achillean personality enchants every man,
I am the residue of my manhood...

Close the cishet doors,
Let the cue tip-off,
You will be my man besides the world.
Two kings for a kingdom.

In That Arena

In that arena couples fight
Against infidelity, dishonesty…….
Many have fought but lost
Yet many still join the spot
But when love wanes
They totter to demise
As their opponents smell victory

The Boxer's Arena

He steps into the ring pristine
From thousands of hours training
Featuring a sleek, lightning speed to match
Dynamic power punches and delivery

But all that is a secret
The opponent comes in unknowing
Facing off to determine
The nature of the challenge

Two fighters tangle
First softly, like gentlemen greeting
This is not barbaric blood lust
They tease and taunt
Getting the crowd on the rims of their seats

Good money is thrown to view
Adversaries compete in their element
In the first round, they dodge and weave
Ducking single power blows
Getting by on body shots

Round two, our boxer comes alive
All his muscles stretched and poised
He delivers magnetic combinations
In this charismatic tour de force

Stripping the combatant of his wits
The two gladiators dance
But clear favor is bestowed

In the third round
The opponent puts up his best onslaught
Throwing caution to the wind
He is wounded and emergency spins

Our fighter withstands the last death march
And puts him down
With a power packed uppercut
Flesh hits the ground
The ring official draws the curtain
And the crowd goes raucus
