Sometimes we look to closest friends,
Expressly those who think we're ace:
Let them confirm our worth but still
Forget, inside us lies the proof.

Actualization calls for a
Command of strength and keen logic
To shape ourselves, at last, to get
Unknown rewards on our plateau.
And with revealed goals, we take a
Lone journey through heart and soul
In our quest...a long safari,
Zestfully seeking life's pizzazz,
And a fruitful new arena
That hones our talents as our gift.
Inner joy promotes stimuli
Of further searches, that lead to
New trails of self-completion.

Betrayed by my excess
Caught and restricted
Deniably distressed
Ever since that Thursday
Friday came too soon
Guilty in the worst way
Hung out under pains moon
Insinuating my recovery
Joking, laughing, weeping
Karen made a discovery
Laura left not sleeping
Made me a warm bath
Narcotics were my death
Owning a broken hourglass
Pretending I needed rest
Quivering in withdrawal
Regret fills my immateriality
Seeing what I really saw
Through out my immortality
Using to stop the itch
Vindictive by nature
Waiting to make a switch
Xerox my dirty paper
Yearned to be me again
Zealous and uncondemned

The Girl Your Momma Warned You About

I see other girls tag themselves as the girls you mom warned you about
See they're so right because they aren't like me
See they can not reach my standard
To reach me they need to spout
Because I was taught
Taught by my mom
And that, that makes me the girl your mom tells you about
The girl that your mum wishes you could bring home
See I am that kind of girl

I may not wear flowers on my head
As they do in the pictures
But my character depicts that of a rose
Now that makes me a flower myself!
My character smells of a great fragrance
All fragrances come from flowers
Because all fruits start to grow as flowers

I may not have the big eyes like they have
But I have the eyes to see when danger is coming
And I have eyes to see through and discern people
The eyes that see dirt and clean it<
The eyes that see beyond sea
I am that girl that your mum dreams about
I am that girl that your mum wishes you could
Have
I am that girl

Autumn brings colors to uplift "summer's soul"
"washing withered" greens with bright patina;
the eyesight delight which brightens and abets,
with "fiery fusion," new scenes old summer will accept-

highlights, imparted justly, as her season's last hurrah
while she leaves, bereaves her lost Xanadu,
in the brilliance of red/golds swirled with orange/amber,
crowning trees and carpeting sprawled bald lawns with cheer-
to "soften summer's" exit within "Autumn's arena"-
until she returns again- post next year's Spring Rebirth.

Baby Girl

Baby Girl By: Brandon Lucas

You are the sunshine of my life baby girl
and you deserve the moon and stars
and everything in this world.
You know I''ll be right by your side
whenever you call.
You know I''ll be there to pick you up
whenever you fall.
I know I haven''t always been there
whenever you needed me.
And I know I''ve done a few bad things
that you should have never seen,
but I swear to you child
that things are gonna change.
So don''t be ashamed of me
because I love you.
Well time goes by and it seems my friend,
that things aren''t what they should have been.
I know I''ve messed up time after time,
but things are gonna be just fine Baby Girl.
Now that I''ve told you how I feel,
just know my love for you is real
and your always in my heart until the day death do us part.
Baby girl... I love you.

A Trip For a Friend With the Flu

A walk down Thomas Lane

Knotty Ash Pub closed on left
On right the boy scout hall
We’re on the left side of
the tram tracks dividing
East Prescot Road
Two shops down is the bakery
Where a four year old boy
Had the job of daily tester
Of rolls on the way to school
God were they good
I can still taste them
Then down the lane past the
Pub’s walled in bowling greens
And the second school
Across from Rudyard road
A cul de sac of single story duplexes
With shiny slate roofs
low walled hedged front gardens
And solid little swinging gates
Then the lane starts up again
The pavement’s wide enough
On both sides of the lane
for a pair to walk beside each other
And the lane’s wide enough
for two small lorries to pass
If cars aren’t parked any where
The older large houses
Are only on the right side of us
All four of them
The milk farm across from the pub
Takes up most of the down hill
Though the fields are hidden
By the barns and shed rows
The end of the lane
Past the gates to the playing fields
and top of the hill has
St John the Evangelist’s Church
With grave yards and directly
Across from the entrance steps and arbor
Is the School Yard and one room school house
Out houses and sheds to the right
Where my official education began

(The daily path of a four year old alone in 1941)

Friendship

Try and find a friend,
The joy is much to share,
When you find that till the end,
It breaks not like a hair.

Friendship is a bond,
That everyone should get,
One that cannot break,
Even if you let.

Friends aren 't for nothing,
Lesser than to sing
Your joys and sorrows to,
Which, to you, life can bring.

Friends are there to care,
Friends are there to share,
Friends are for relief,
When great pains we do bear.

They are to be payed back,
For all the things they've done,
They're not to be teased at,
Even just for fun.

Friends are like a gift,
To be kept forever,
But not to throw away,
If they faint so ever.

You Will Always Be In My Dreams

You ll live in this world
No matter if you aren t with me
You ll always be in my dreams
In every desire of mine, in every wish
There will always be you

Every minute, every second, all the time
You ll be my constant companion
May not be with me, but you ll be in my dreams

We ll make you our fate
You may not be with me
But we ll learn to live in your dreams

I ll be miss you everyday
Whether it s the days of summer
Or the lonely nights of winter
Whenever it shall rain
I ll make two cups of tea
One for you and one for me
But as you ll not be there
I ll drink both by myself
You might not be present
But I ll atleast have you in my dreams

At nights, whenever I ll feel the fear
The fear of loneliness, the fear of your absence
I ll try to negotiate with heart, try to calm myself
By my own, your shadow may not be there
But your soul will definitely calm me in my dreams

When I ll dress myself for a party
I ll miss your beautiful comments
But I ll teach my heart how to compliment
I ll teach it that I was and I ll always be beautiful
You may not be there to compliment
But you ll definitely be in my heart

During my lonely nights, whenever my heart
Will desire to talk with you,I ll just remember
Our old conversations and will smile
Smile like a mad person
You might not be there to talk with me
But you ll definitely live in my dreams

In the season of winter
As usual I ll always order two ice creams
One for me, and one for you
But as you ll not be there
I ll eat both by myself
During long drives
I ll pleased this heart by feeling you
In the front seat, sitting with me
You may not be there sitting at me
But you ll definitely be in my dreams

In beach, in your absence I ll talk to myself
Will make this heart happy by making it think
That you are close to me
You might not be with me
But you ll live in my dreams

Proffessor Crazy

We are crazy, aren,t we?
We are are all so very crazy
And so pray I, that we may be more crazy
That we may proclaim truth in such lucidity
And when we are crazier
Then we shall live life like one
A truthful crazy - life is worth living
Than a bouyant life full of lies
I'll rather eat a bone in peace
Than a fight over a roasted whole ox
I'll rather run 100 miles to stay out of trouble
Than run 10 miles to get into one
Leave me, and let me live my lovely - crazy life
Even if it be on a leaf.

Why Cant I

why am i not enough for him
why does he always complain
things aren,t the way they used to be
and it will never be the same

he doesnt understand we,re older
and the things i used to do is now hard and when you need the money back that they borrowed moths before knowing you are in desperate shape yourself and just lie and ignore you sad need new friends
he mentions finding someone else
and that just breaks my heart

i give him all that,s in me

why cant i find my true love
to help with broken heart of mine

The Red White and Blue Angel

There in summer the hot hot summer of lives, why good
and evil or wick or mad or bad, why good weather or
bad weather why does the moons go to quarters and
full why is a posions why pine why do some trees grow
in the snow and other done it spring why are the
leave red white and blue, why do some people see
red, and some see nothing why are right hand people
and some left hand because thats life and why do we
fight back and why aren 't some door mates in th e
pain of life why is there love and hate why is the
sun yellow and hell red why is there snow and hot
ice and cold rain, who knew all I know if is was'nt

give be the right to fight back

The Greater Good

Another year has gone on bye
But is it really time to wave away
All of the good times and those days?

As you know some may be ones to forget
That defiantly isn?t all
Maybe there are some that aren?t so pleasant
Ones filled with boring discontent
But there are always those great ones
That always seem to go bye way too fast
Everyone knows that great feeling
Just don?t think of it as a days ending
Think of it as a beginning
One that takes you and pushes you on
So while you move through the bad days
There is always something to reflect on
The same thing that you always have
The great friends that are always there for you
The warm embrace of your family
And last but not least, the love of your life

So remember these while days fade
And you will indubitably be great!
