Requim For Un

United Nations, United Nations
What an oxymoron!
What an oxymoron!!

The platitude goes-
‘United we stand’
In the UN,
How erect we stand!
How erect we stand!!
We are *****erectus
Aren’t we?

This genocide-friendly unity of nations
With extra-care tending
The weeded garden of poison-trees.
When Hutus and Tutsies blood-bathe
The UN closely observes the situation,
When Israel unchilds, unhusbands and unfathers
The Palestinians, the UN
Appeals to both the parties to exercise restraint.
When the Theravada fanatics exterminate the Rohingyas
And the West-engineered Arab Spring
Tears the Middle East asunder,
The UN condemns and condemns and condemns!

O UN what a paradox you enflesh,
Bringing to the forefront
The anti-thesis -
‘United we stand, divided we fall’
To what insurmountable height you have taken
The human(un)kind, we have seen
Now anti-thetically we would like to fall
As ‘fair is foul, foul is fair’.

In your acronymic form
When in lower case
How prophetically you become
An ominous prefix!

UN, UN you are non-existent
An ethereal entity, a papier mache;
Ailan’s death has finally declared
You biologically dead.
Let this cenotaph be
Placed on top of UN HQ:
Here once architecturally stood
The divided conglomeration of Nations – the UN,

A metonymic entity
Proudly pronouncing human unyokability.
RIP, dear UN.

Just a Dream

At the heart of my country lies a monolith
Shimmering in the radiant hot transparent light
Ever changing hues, a chameleon at the edge of night,
Uluru the natives call it, a meeting place, where we can sit

In my dream, I welcome you here,
Whether your skin is black or brown, yellow or white
For peaceful parley, at this stela desert site
We come together from far and near

Whether your home is a hovel, a castle or cave,
Derelict or architecturally inspired, an admirable sight
We gather as equals with identical plight
Our globe’s bounty, we must share and save

All children born of mother earth
Whether we live in suburbia, zareba or inner city height
Different tho we may be we must unite
To save the planet of our birth

Let's Stay Together Until We Break Up and Make Amends

Cordless, you are on the other side
Our minds made of armour, thoughts safely hidden inside
My key combination has been deactivated, I need to access you
Communicating like lost ships, I see the flashing light in you

Let's laugh again and let happiness have its way with us
Thoughts of how this was established has me thinking God invested in us
Time has allowed distance, that's unacceptable
Broken families, in societies it has become acceptable

How about our names appearing in the encyclopaediea
Our thesis published by the media, that's an idea
We made ground breaking discoveries on love alone
And now you tell me I can do this all alone

We are the pillars of our own life, architecturally speaking
I find my feelings falling relentlessly in a gradient, literally speaking
I need a lab, a vaccine is imperative
Keep this quarantined or else results would be distructive

Did I tell you that you still make me laugh?
Abstract is the label they give our picture lately, that's rough
All I hear nowadays is your lawyer's voice instead of your own
Evidently no blame can be infused into anyone, decisions made were our own

Now I seat across the table from you holding these papers wondering how it
manifested into this
I am partly involved, part of it not being part of your life which led us into this
You seat there mutely almost emotionless
You still look beautiful as the first time I saw you, nothing less

We now have individuals that speak on our behalf
If I could, I would ask you to continue to be my better half
What's good about a half if the other half is missing
In all honesty, it has always been you that i'm missing

Please, come home.

Don'T Get Me Started

DON’T GET ME STARTED

1. About taxes, we have to pay them so why bother
Wasting breath complaining? And they’re spent on
Useful stuff like nuclear weapons and world-tours for
The Prime Minister and keeping teenage shoplifting kids
In jail (where they belong) and allowing major embezzlers
Or inside-traders to be under light-supervision on open prison-farms.

2. About Richard Nixon, a president who got caught
Doing what practically every president does,
And did trivial things like achieving rapprochement with China,
Ending the war in Vietnam, and signing nuke treaties
With the USSR. What a waste of time.

3. About bees, because why should I put up with stings and all their buzzing
Just for honey, when I don’t even like honey or beeswax?
And don’t tell me about the hexagonal architecture of honeycombs.
Buckminster Fuller did it better without stinging or buzzing anyone.

4. About sushi, which is a bit too fishy for me. I hate fish,
With those big staring eyes in the shop, or floating pathetically
Around In the shrimp-pan gazing accusingly at me.

5. About Australians, wanting applause for kangaroos, wallabies or Melbourne.
How about a round of applause for Canada for having beavers, or the RCMP?

6. About rap “music” which really should be called crap music

7. About dogs

Your Eyes

Looking into your eyes
I blushed, I turned away
I thought I had invaded your privacy
As though I was inside your body
I saw you naked, fully clothed
I saw past the facade, I was inside
It was beautiful, architecturally sound
The inner beauty was breathtaking
I hope you will invite me back

Nineteen months has passed since I did a step..
A step to attain one of my dreams..
Rumored as the land of "Just dime or penny"..
Talked as a land of so much strict Rules..

Rials their stable currency.
Oil their main product..
Towering modern ediffices abounds..
Architecturally design interiors..

Rich truly, as they said..
Islam the strictly followed religion..
Arabic their national language..
Riyadh, Jeddah, Maddina some of it's mainland..

Black and white the common colors of apparels..
Yet, roaming around malls..
Variant vibrant colors visibly in stalls..
Simplicity, that's what I appreciated here..

It was a barren solid land..
Almost all nationalities are here..
Finding a life; Making livelihood..
Maximizing what this country can offer...

Yet it's rules, the prohibitions..
Depresses the other life of man...
It takes away some of the joys of living..
Thus others, breaks the rules...

" incest meetings" are such as searching gold..
precious as undiscovered diamonds..
friends makes the stay here worthwhile..
Adopting and preserving the heart of humanity..

Premium Member Your Face Is Like a Playground

Your face is like a playground
with curved edges inviting
energetic laughter all around,
nostalgically exciting.

Your eyes are like a swing set,
lashes flapping with each blink.
Sometimes puddles below stay wet,
but your tears I'd love to drink.

Your brows, like two seesaws aligned
befittingly side by side
are fun to watch when I find
emotions take them for a ride.

Your smile, like a magic bridge,
connects distant friends together,
lifting high upon each ridge
as softly as a feather.

Your nose is like a double slide
architecturally created,
reflecting a warm, sun-kissed glide,
ideally located.

Your ears are like a talk tube,
hearing every whispered word
next to the tic-tac-toe cube,
to which your earrings are referred.

Your mind, like a merry-go-round
spins lively thoughts to adore.
Your face is like a playground,
with plenty to explore.

The teal peels as it submits to gloaming,
and a round lucidity exposed abroad.
As the alien brilliance shines far away,
the maneuvered view is being cast.

'Tis dormancy that exacts dark period of tenure,
countdown from the zero hour.
Distant silhouettes grow versus fawning growth,
dipped in Luna's balm.

The etching of profiled naturalness acquiesces,
constant figurines masquerading the expanse.
Subtle contours architecturally restructured,
split seconds surrender serene scenes.

The solid realm maintained lifeless postures,
as the teeming formations made idle trims.
Mimicry traces the bestilled in passing,
perfect copies render mockeries silence.

Heights claim their surroundings,
as the tight-lipped verdant statuesque frames.
Depths summon intimate intrigue,
whilst burgeoning burrowed bedrock bound.

Exchanging brightness extremely bold,
lilt ventures its routine as the subject of Sol.
More or less defining shadows...
there's no difference that a day would make.

Atlantis City, New Haven

Scraping these stalemate shadows from such, buskins nails

Tracing real time read throughs signifying tragedies

Shredded in the leafed contours bin....

High rise windows overlooking the city; hedged portrayed views!?

Collosity framed upon the walls possessive panels this, epidemic of disregard

Obstinate portals; entering this burgandy carpeted elevators, going down

Stopping at the lounge for a midday cocktails, inebriating the enigmas

Jukebox tunes playing these, immersed illusions both, shaken and stirred

Martinis, with an extra phantoms olive to quiescent this taste

Lingering now upon my pulsed illuminated tongue....

Paying off the tab afore glancing into the mirrors reflections; crowds passing by ~

Master cards manifestos held tight and, placed into freighted pockets?!

Passing through the galvanized foyers exegesisly brushed frescos offerings and

Gazing toward the artic domed ceilings skylight; penetrating rays of warmth as

Straightening my tie before stepping outside to greet their, euphoric smiles ~

While as leaving now, this big cities architecturally designed, scalar hotel!?

Scraping, these stalemate shadows from such buskins nails....

Last Friday they closed down the brothel up the street
Gothic beauties standing despite negative propaganda
I hated seeing them go...it was a real fine place to meet
With its beckoning red light and wide welcoming veranda.

Those exotic ladies in high fashion heels boldly posing

They were statuary beauties, architecturally quite imposing.

Premium Member Stonehenge and Georgia Guidestones

Stonehenge is a famous monument in Britain
a prehistoric mystery, architecturally sophisticated
built in stages, the first part built 5000 years ago
the unique Neolithic stone circle about 2500 BC
it is thought to be build by Druid Celtic high priests
and used for sacrificial ceremonies in their time
also thought to be a place for burials of the dead
it was created by people who left no written record
some of the stones are called ringing rocks, acoustic
for when struck they make a loud clanking sound
it has always been a mystery- never quite explained

The Georgia Guidestones are a monument in Gerogia, USA
made of huge granite slabs erected in 1980, planned for 20 years
built by R.C. Christian on a five acre site later given to Georgia
it is a set of guidestones inscribed in eight languages
its purpose to function as a compass, calendar and clock and guide
engraved with things like "Prize truth-beauty-love-seeking harmony ...."
some of the ten guide lines are not as acceptable to people
engraved in the eight languages on each individual slab
since erected conspiracy theories have abounded
the slabs have been defaced many times with graffiti

For me there is little to compliment each other
except they each are both made of stones
in a circular formation
and they both symbolize something
Stonehenge is really, really old and a mystery
the Georgia Guidestones build in 1980 with a clear meaning
so, in my mind they are separate monuments

Fifth Place

Understanding Angels

Where dry walls turn to dust
they depart.
They enter as laughter.
They roost on struts and beams.
Rafters for each shinning feather
whether or not each feather is stiff or curly.
Flooring for the angelically inclined
is optional. Pin heads are perfect.
A house without an angel is a tomb
but be of good cheer,
they are everywhere, even in the bathroom
where they often rest with you.
Domestic housing only,
public and federal buildings
will never be up to their code
no matter how architecturally pleasing
for angels need a welcome mat
and a pleasant kitchen,
a roof that lets the pain run down
as rain to water garden seeds.
What else?
Their are tent angels and shanty angels,
homeless and under bridge angels.
Angels are houses for prayers,
In the Far East
folks erect Spirit Houses;
little shrines for holiness to occupy
same thing really,
a flight of stairs
for the starry-eyed helps,
but ranch and open-plan
span just as well
if each body within them
is a ringing temple bell.
