Best Arabs Poems
Five Tomatoes Away
Five tomatoes away
from devastation.
The bullies bully me.
They give big breaks to
corporations-While taking
unfair shares from citizens
and cutting down on
pensions and "Social Security".
I have no security!
The Arabs store on
the corner is
selling wine, beer and
cigarettes.
Sending their tax free
money home to
fight against our boys.
His taxes are
deferred, and when
time comes to pay
The business is now
switched into his cousin’s name.
One tomato is two dollars...
so I am five tomatoes away,
and I haven't had a salad today. I
am being raped, while they
are getting breaks.
I get reprimanded
severely, they are always
Shaking my tree.
I said "I have no money"
I am not living here tax free.
The levy goes
into effect on the
thirtieth day, so
I budget sparingly,
and have had no
salad today;
I am five tomatoes
away, from homelessness
and devastation;
I wish I had a break like the big
corporations
One day before
I leave this planet I hope to
find dignity.
And eat a Salad everyday
and live life healthily
never again
having to worry
about being
Five Tomatoes away.
Getting old around
here is horrible;
My senior years
unpleasant....
I paid my dues to the
I.R.S., now they
want another present.
I hope to survive
another day, while
they tax my pension;
And so, I pray....
let me eat
another salad, in spite
of being ....
Five Tomatoes Away!
So yes, I've had no tomatoes,
I've had no tomatoes today.!
On the streets of lively Mumbai,
Close to the sandy Juhu,
They serve Chaat and Masala Chai,
To make your heart go Yoohooo!!
The English, Locals and Arabs!
Jews, Africans and Chinese!
Gather to the aroma of the herbs,
And to relish the Indian Cuisine!
Vending stalls have lined the route,
As the natives and tourists wander in,
Flanked by cycles, bikes and touts,
Amidst the music and the din.
This mela of colours and clothing,
Will make a rainbow look white,
travellers in town need updating,
And wear colours that are bright!
It is dusk, and it is getting dark,
the street lights are coming on,
Be warned of strangers in the park!
Hide your wallet, or they will be gone!
Watch the trash, the puddles at feet,
And the stray dogs at your shin,
At every shop a smiling greet,
“Try our food! Please step in!”
Unique, unique is this ensemble,
On the streets of sweet Mumbai,
Where petty human irks crumble,
In the stream of gastronomic joy!
See the Mexican laugh with the Texan,
Over the Goan seafood platter,
Even the Arab and Jew have taken,
A place at the table together!
The leaders at the United Nations,
Who have failed to make a deal,
Must learn from this congregation,
How problems are solved at a meal!
UN policies, treaties at the table,
Have had no effect on peace,
But sandy Juhu is ever so stable,
For people eat and mix with ease!
Let these vendors in Mumbai, Juhu,
Take the lead in creating the peace,
Let their Chai make you go Yoohoo,
And hatred in the world will cease!!
On the streets of lively Mumbai,
Close to the sandy Juhu,
They serve Chaat and Masala Chai,
To make your heart go Yoohooo!!
Who can dispute me in this wonderful world?
We are black, we are white and we are colored
But we live in same planet floating like Eagle
All of us are humans and bleed red blood
Who can dispute me in this wonderful world?
We are Africans, we are Europeans, we are Arabs
But we need food and we eat by mouth, not legs
All of us need the same oxygen to live on and off
Who can dispute me in this wonderful world?
We speak Chinese, Arabic, English, and Swahili
But we all have bodies that are fragile and bony
And all of us need the weak body to live a life
Which human is an angel but human?
Which human has yellow blood in metallic body?
Which human is an amphibian, or airborne?
So which human is more human than humanity?
In Syria we fought the French in 1941...
Foreign Legion and the Vichy French an 8 week war was won...
After battle with the slaughter, many bodies where they lay...
Don checked them as he oughta , found a gauntlet golden hey...
Oh it glistened with its set stones of red and shiny blue...
And Don's mates began to wonder could they get it off him too...
A frog sniper from a tower was a shooting us today ...
So we killed him with a Bren gun to his girlfriend's dismay..
Don went and checked the tower dragged down a Moslem priest...
Caught him by his whiskers now, just a holy man at least ...
The girl was still a wailing and cursing at Dons feet...
as she kissed and held her lover, Don came down the street...
Don then the pin released...
So the gauntlet dropped beside her ...
He couldn't help her with her grief...
The gauntlet wanted neither...
Safer with her was the gauntlet gold...
She snavelled it so quick... (grabbed)
On the priest still the whisker hold....
His blood she still did lick?....
Don got this souviner on the battlefield amongst the dead, some might have killed him to
get it...
Aussies including Don Johnson 2/25th Btn. (As he told me) .Fought the French Foreign ,
Vichy French and Syrian Arab people for 8 weeks in 1941. People from the Indian Army and
the Poms were there too at the finish......Don Johnson .....At this place Don and George
Gibson saw where a young woman and child had been killed by the same bayonet stroke .
George pointed to the cross around her neck and said to Don the little ju ju didn't save her?
Don said the Arabs were selling fresh meat in the street covered with flies to other Arabs
and the flies were still having a party on the many dead, so they held guns on the Arabs
and made them bury the dead which were being ignored

"Road to Lovejoy - Piano for the Self Taught" (Part 2)
His name was
Flight Left-Tennant V.C.Burton,
or "Victor Charlie Bravo", when he
got pulled over by the cops, explaining
"a sherbert or two Lynette, but not on the rocks".
though he makes me spell it
off by heart
“Flight L.I.E.U.T.E.N.A.N.T”.
for spelling it right I get
Lamingtons and a hot Cuppa sugary Tea.
Royal Australian Airforce
(R.A.A.F.) - "R Double A, F"
his current stint,
“Mate! Airforce base with all the big Spitfires
and Jet Fighters, Amberley,"
then later after
"THE" "Event"
(quotation marks hushed reverent tone)...
he asks for posting up the Mountain
7 Stores Depot,
free reign of the "Mess"
where there he is the Commander's Adjutant,
his rank still Flight Left-Tennant...
I think they must be very messy there
and he cleans up all the mess.
"The Yanks say Loo-Tennant!”
he advised in his Sargent Major way -
his pride of course
were the medals
he wore from his Tour of Duty days...
First Regiment into Vietnam
Saigon based, Royal Australian Army
way back-in-the-day.
“We're HOME Nan”, he gently
carries me out of the car
up to bed
from the rented
Airforce Base home's
driveway.
It's no tin shed, it's a flaming Fibro Mansion.
“I’ll get your sisters next,
Cream Buns for Breakfast!
Tomorrow’s Sunday”.
It was Saturday night,
we’d been for a visit down
the mountain to North East
near the Ocean that day
to lay flowers on
HER grave.
“We’ll do Bribie Island another day.
I’ll read you bloody Loose Arabs 3",
this delivered so so not P.C.,
"the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner,
tomorrow night. I’ve had enough
of the Nicene Creed for one day!”.
Piano for the Self Taught? Well,
that’s a story for another
day, something that can’t be
bought.
Priceless in it’s own way.
This is a story of
Love,
“Unconditional” -
the Lovejoy-Burton Way.
...to be continued.

Stereotypes
Black people all have rhythm and are good at basketball
Not a single blond in the world has any brains at all
Englishmen have bad teeth and Mexicans are lazy
And if you think the Dutch aren’t cheap, certainly you’re crazy
All Chinese are bad drivers, and hairdressers are gay
Consensus is that Irishmen get plastered every day
Construction workers are all fat from eating too much dinner
Korean people eat doggy meat trying to get thinner
All athletes have large muscles in between their ears
Italians run the Mafia; at least it so appears
Jews don’t pay retail and they all have giant noses
All teenagers are rebels, everyone supposes
All the French are rude, and Poles aren’t very bright
And Hawaiians hit their surfboards long into the night
Asians all have high IQ’s, and Germans are efficient
Nowhere is there a doctor whose judgment is deficient
All Arabs support terror, and Latins make great lovers
All Navahos snort firewater underneath their covers
Every single homeless person’s on welfare ‘cause he’s needy
And try to find a politician who isn’t mean and greedy
All people who are fat have a tendency to be jolly
And women are bad drivers; you can count on it by golly
Lawyers are out to cheat you, as a rule of thumb
But most of all, don’t you think that stereotypes are dumb
Yes the war on terror is over
It happened on the Canadian border!
Youssef, 5, was denied
For shopping for toys and terror thus implied
Now Youssef, 5 finished his chemo
The border patrol said oh no, oh no, no no no
No Arabs must be allowed to shop for toys
Not even ones getting chemo and seeking joys
The Mothers family lives in the US
She’s a Canadian for twenty years in her dress
But Trump stopped her oh yes oh yes
From spending her money in Vermont, poor little Youssef
Terrorism has been defeated, Trump does declare
A mother and her kids on a spending spree affair!
So evil to want to buy USA goods
You’d think Donald builds his stuff in the China back woods!!!
Note: I wrote this Free Verse, also something Trump wants to eliminate, the Free Press and the Truth.
My ancient Arabs know exactly how to tell a tale,
Of hardship, kinsman, outcasts, how to be so strong,
Withstanding weather, find your way, what it does entail
To fight a world alone, with nowhere to belong.
I like to think it is a metaphor, not an exact rendition.
A simile of sorts, no different from Bible or Qur’an.
A handbook, of how life can cast you out as clansman.
If preprogrammed molds don’t fit woman or man,
Shanfara found his way by choosing a direction,
Completely opposite of where his brothers rode.
He found his new kin amongst beings, all not human.
To him man does ascribe this still illustrious ode.
For you, my brigand poet, I write this loving poem,
You mean so much to me, like you I do not fit so well,
And am forever searching, But I am not seen as scum.
My su’luk, my traveler, I stay and have your tale to tell.

"Peace will come when Arabs and Muslims love their children
more than they hate us."
Golda Meir
we take sides to fight
politics and religion
pray or become prey
hate poisons the mind
arrogance is ignorance
divided we fall
American heads
roll in the name of Allah
Islam bleeds and burns
Al-Quida is dead
Bin Laden swims with fishes
Isis you’re next ka-BOOM
religion of hate
call to prayer is call of war
jihad must be stopped
with love in your heart
without a gun in your hand
Heaven smiles on Earth
When a country is rebellious it has many rulers
but a man of understanding and knowledge maintains order
PROVERBS 28:2
A scoundrel and villain who plots evil with deceit in his heart
he always stirs up dissension, therefore, disaster will over take him in an instant

They will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes

Scars Left Behind
As a slave I was a product of the broker,
and a commodity as a result of the purchaser.
Both of them made me to be,
valuable and hunted like honey bee.
Hunting and ambushed done in the village,
killing and plundering had become prestige.
As children and women when left died,
I was taken with others and then caravanned.
The Chief and Mtemi had war waged,
For Guns and Cloths were then paid.
The Banyans of India paid the capital,
Whilst Arab of Oman set the arrival.
Some servant some prisoners all were slaved,
With Ivory on shoulders but all day walked.
From Katanga and Malavi to coastal wealthy,
Bagamoyo and Kilwa we laid our sympathy.
Hundred and million were shipped forever,
The Arabs and Whites snatched our mother.
And slavery life had became our song,
Plantation and domestication had been our belonging.
Some died some survived with loosing hearts,
A misery generation maintained the scars.
In the neighboring land with pain results,
As was racist, hardworking with broken hearts.
LUCAS ALEX MKUDE poem.
Democracy nears
For unknown Arab countries
Angry Arabs yell
Suicide bomber
Islam, Religion of peace
Perhaps when they're free
The Crowed Goes wild
Egypt you are next in line
Democracy nears
The Sniper
The man who in his delusion shot and killed Kyle
all American sniper who boasted of killing
167 Arabs. A film was made and USA applauded
and no doubt it will receive an Oscar.
A movie that totally lack empathy, what does one
expect of a Clint Eastwood, only this sniper Kyle
was for real and not a western invention.
Is this a war movie? Deeply disturbing morality,
killing for the sake of it. Our hero Kyle found his
death on the shooting range and the man who
killed him was an American soldier too who put
an end to our false gods and war values, for him
a lethal injection awaits the killer of the American dream .
GROWING UP THE PAST RUNS DEEP
Growing up in the village..
days before electricity arrived
when i used a kerosin lamp..
as i browsed through volumes..
volumes of literature..
Till my eyes would turn dry..
and i would feel dizzy...
for not changing my reading poster
screaming nerves accussing mi..
i stood accussed of abuse
by my own senses..
Sweet sleep would fall over me..
the novel dropping..
from mines limb hands
dreaming of strange lands..
Oh the joy of addiction..
i was hooked to good stories
Evading peers to catch up
on a book.. didnt i love escapism
negleting schoo work... now thts dumb..
negleting sports and exercises wasnt i hooked
the past is deep i spent a lot of time..
reading make believe stories
Moving to the east coast town..
after finishing forth...
i fell in love with movies
and became an enemy of the books
a great movie i watched..
robbed of my immagination
Rushing over meals
running to catch a new movie
my brother michael...
sneezing allrgies of the polluted cities..
i was missing village life..
Strange swahili culture..
christian, muslims, arabs africans
strange foreigners,, i have this-
against them most of them didnt seem
to love clothes.. yet the others
covered to their eyes..
Mwadhini calling the faithful to prayer
christians holding week long crusades..
here the battle was for souls
or was it the offerings
strange swahili culture..
drinking strange palm wine..
such was the life at the coast
New friends trying to revert me to islam..
elders remmindim me not to forfeit..
the wisdom of our people..
borrowed clothes dont fit well..
and customs and traditions..
are the mirror of society..
No where were my beliefs challenged more..
they called me almukafirun...
i retaliated youre a zailim..
didnt we love the enlightening debate
softening of stands..
proponent and opponent reached common ground...
The bond of friendship and culture
breakin down- them
cultural religios barriers
friends and gal friends from all religions
people at the coast are very freindly
and salaams greetings a way of life..
Stories of jinn and black majic
we knew not to give much-
credence.. there of the disbelivers
we believed in the onness of the supreme..
debated on tenacles of faith..
for the bond of love runs deep
and the past is deep..

Matthew chapter 7
1 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you
judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will
be measured to you.
During my entire life
I stayed glued to my TV
Deep in a low alpha state
Hypnotized into becoming "me"
I jumped when they told me to
They taught me how to be tough
And my eyes would sometimes water
If the acting was good enough
Yet after this virtual lifetime
Not one instance is coming to me
Of Arabs portrayed as human beings
On my blessed and holy TV
Always, always, always
It told me how to think
And if I even heard the word "Arab"
I judged exactly as I had seen
So this brings me to my point
TV is not the creator of truth
And I judged an entire people
Simply because I was told to
I hope they will understand
And even turn the other cheek
Because I based all of my judgments
On an electronic TV screen
[For my friend and coworker, Nasser. A first generation American
of Palestinian descent. Truly a generous, loving and passionate soul, who
who showed me what I've been told about middle eastern people is
truly ridiculous.]
