Foreign Legion Stoush

In Syria we fought the French in 1941...
Foreign Legion and the Vichy French an 8 week war was won...
After battle with the slaughter, many bodies where they lay...
Don checked them as he oughta , found a gauntlet golden hey...
Oh it glistened with its set stones of red and shiny blue...
And Don's mates began to wonder could they get it off him too...
A frog sniper from a tower was a shooting us today ...
So we killed him with a Bren gun to his girlfriend's dismay..
Don went and checked the tower dragged down a Moslem priest...
Caught him by his whiskers now, just a holy man at least ...
The girl was still a wailing and cursing at Dons feet...
as she kissed and held her lover, Don came down the street...
Don then the pin released...
So the gauntlet dropped beside her ...
He couldn't help her with her grief...
The gauntlet wanted neither...
Safer with her was the gauntlet gold...
She snavelled it so quick... (grabbed)
On the priest still the whisker hold....
His blood she still did lick?....

Don got this souviner on the battlefield amongst the dead, some might have killed him to
get it...
Aussies including Don Johnson 2/25th Btn. (As he told me) .Fought the French Foreign ,
Vichy French and Syrian Arab people for 8 weeks in 1941. People from the Indian Army and
the Poms were there too at the finish......Don Johnson .....At this place Don and George
Gibson saw where a young woman and child had been killed by the same bayonet stroke .
George pointed to the cross around her neck and said to Don the little ju ju didn't save her?
Don said the Arabs were selling fresh meat in the street covered with flies to other Arabs
and the flies were still having a party on the many dead, so they held guns on the Arabs
and made them bury the dead which were being ignored

Ten Plagues and One Hard Heart

Time has been that slavery was a common practice
War lords take over a nation then use the people for slaves
This went on in Israel, Egypt, China, and numerous other places.
We have heard of Pharoh of Egypt and Moses
Moses said to Pharoh one day, the God of Israel says "Let my people go!"
Pharoh thought these slave people are needed around here, free labor.
Pharoh said no I won't let you go.
God of Israel sent 10 plagues on the Egyptian people all the way into Pharoh's palace.
Their water was changed into blood. Plagues of gnats, flies, locust, frogs, boils, cattle died,
darkness in day time, and the last day the firstborn child died, then Pharoh let them go.

He still had not learned his lesson and he took his army out after the Israelites and then him and
his army was drowned in the river.
One hard hearted and headed man, met his doom.

Be Brave

It's easy to ignore the things you see
We can easily dismiss or reason it out
The violence we see, the people that need help
somebody else will help, I have to go
What if nobody helped
What if the injured animal on the side of the road
Didn't get the help it could have
and instead of recovering
it died slowly.
We fear what we don't know
We find comfort, in daily schedules
The help we give can be extraordinary
Be brave! and help people we don't know
Be brave! and save an animals life
Be brave! don't ignore it
Be brave! feel the rush of something good
Be brave! and maybe you will find
Something you did't know was missing in you all along

Be Brave.

Deification

It is amazing how many super important people there are in my hometown!
At almost any intersection, I will be eclipsed by at least 2-3 individuals who are cooler
Than I could ever aspire to think to become.
Lately I see them everywhere!
They look just like the people on the covers of those high quality magazines I see
In line at the grocery store when I am buying my crate of ramen noodles, and
The 4 for $5 Bar-S brand hot dogs.
I can't help but to think, "WOW! Why haven't I seen any of these people on t.v. yet?"
My adulation for people like Newton, the Incas, Brahmms, Klimt has been misplaced!
Just when I felt like a wart infested slug for my lack of awareness,
A gracious miracle occurred:
This girl/woman/tranny pulled up next to me at a long traffic light.
She wore those wonderful Jackie-o knock offs that almost cover the entire face,
Making her nose look like this teensy-weensy little button!
The a.c. blew her hair around like she was in a photo shoot, and
After removing the cell phone that had neurally implanted itself to her head,
She stared straight ahead, as if in a trance.
I was sure that she was probably in deep thought concerning ways to feed starving babies,
Or contemplating the lines for her next secret audition that only she knows about.
Once the light turned chartreuse, she accelerated like a photon;
This is when I noticed the scintillating rims that resembled the UFO that I communicated with
Down by irrigation ditch the day before.
This was a sign... I had to catch up with her and share this knowledge!
I followed her the length of the city until she finally pulled
Her behemoth into some swanky day spa that had no airs of pretentiousness whatsoever.
It was weird because as I approached her vehicle, I began to sputter and stammer
All of my words; I even began to inexplicably lurch as I walked towards her.
When she saw me her eyes widened to the size of coffee saucers, and
The next thing I knew was there were these wires attached to my chest!
Suddenly I was dreaming of the time I ate mushrooms and touched a frayed cord
On an alarm clock.
When I awoke on the hot asphalt, my seraph had vanished into a mid afternoon haze.
I had to give a toothy smile though- I knew that my body just couldn't handle the intensity
Of her heavenly nimbus!

Pilgrims Without Progress

Pilgrims without progress were a people by name,
They travelled a road that was always the same.
The way that was mapped for the route they took,
Was inscribed by pen in a leather bound book.

The road was rocky and scattered with thorn,
And the people were hot and feeling forlorn.
Their feet were sore and their faces were red,
And the sun shone without mercy down on their head.

The distance was painted with bright coloured flowers,
That soothed the eye and filled the long hours;
And a hawk that soared high in a bright blue sky,
Was looking for food to feed her babies nearby.

They kept on walking throughout the dark night,
With the moon on high shining her light.
A breeze that comforts touched their weary face,
Urging them onward to finish the race.

Though travels of all made them weary and sore,
A need to get there was not helping anymore;
For the way that they went led all of them round,
Back to the place where the beginning was found.

Bouncer

Bouncer
The bouncer strolled on through the bar,
with Gay people very thick.
A drag queen called 'you going far'.
Got ' off moll' real quick.
He brought ice in for the barmaid sweet,
and said 'I`ll take you out'.
The barmaid said 'first you must meet,
a girl who loves you have no doubt'.
He took one look at the promised lass,
just shook his head said 'no!'
A rough drag queen he`d have to pass,
a voice inside said so.
A little charmer called to him,
He said 'a do just me and you'.
She said 'I`ll fix your wagon Slim,
take your girlfriend off you too'.
Still later on when he came back,
a fight had broken out.
To this normal fellow he said 'Jack,
drop that woofer It`s your shout'.
`Yes get upstairs with your own type,
don`t bug these people bent.'
The barmaid gave the bar a wipe,
as 'Jack' then off he went.
Back in the lounge he paused awhile,
and looked about the room.
Five ladies beckoned with a smile,
at different tables in the gloom.
What could he do but tell four why?
He couldn't come home soon.
He`d lost four lovers by and by,
But Pam stayed in the room.
So home he went with passionate Pam,
for a night with little sleep.
Escaped at dawn bout 5am,
then home to bed he`d creep?

Filthy Magazine

skipping scenes or skipping lines
well babe im yours but only till the end of time
its not to short but not to long
cant stand to sit an watch people play golf
i couldn't see the difference
you couldn't say i was blind
i learned a lot with these two fellows
not people my silent eyes that observe the story
the one you told
complained about the lonely an the cold
well when were you there?
what pain have you seen?
thats what i thought
you were just by the window but only to get a peep

Noise Inside My Brain

Underneath the glow of dusk
I see some street people that busk
An open case just by their feet
And people dancing to their beat

They do the songs they know so well
That people have to sit a spell
I seat myself to watch a bit
What do you know they play a hit

And then I rise to walk away
But turn back round to hear them play
A song I have not heard for years
It makes me think and brings some tears

It’s something from my horrid past
I’m just kidding my life’s a blast
We sure can say we did it right
And even did without a fight

My mind is noise inside my brain
That has me racing like a train
My hopes are that I don’t derail
If impaired I’d go to jail

Never drink and drive around
You may never get to make a sound
Like a wolf howling at the moon
Goodnight my friends I’ll see you soon

Blizzard of 2006

Snow, snow and more snow,
when will you stop,
of the flakes you do drop.

The blizzard of 2006,
so much snow has fell
many people stranded and in a fix.

Here in Denver stuck in traffic
slipping and sliding, oh so slick
if I have a wreck how tragic.

Closed highways, people stranded
this is one storm, not to forget,
finally at home, here we have landed.

wrote 12-20-06 by the next morning Denver had 29 inches on the ground and it had drifted even more, it was one of the worse storms in their history.
