Premium Member Shackling His Tongue

I am frustrated and annoyed by his ticking,
or perhaps it should be labeled the 'tocking'
By the never-ending tongue wagging clicking
in the language better known as 'clocking'

Must Grandfather Time command my life?
He so rudely continues without a thought
that his hammer yammering rhythm of strife
mocks the beating pulse of my human heart

What a wonderful fantasy my life would be
if for one day I'd not hear his unrelenting beat
I'd be stress free if time would stand still for me
for without his gonging life would be so sweet

In solace of night, I seek sleep and close my eyes
in need of escape and retreat from earthly chore
but I cannot find a moment of tranquil paradise
for his insistent knelling peals out once more

Each quarter hour his mallet chimes out to me
but his clappers sing off key in monotonous song
Not a lyrical lullaby, but a torturous rhapsody
whose tireless verses antagonize me far too long

I'm tenacious to put an end to his wagging tongue
and shackle the swinging motion of his pendulum
Each hour of the day and night would go by unsung
Being silenced is the price paid by the meddlesome

Idioma

11/29/2015

Idioma

There is a man with a gun.
His finger taut,
tensed and still,
the intention obvious,
no reason instilled.

Because guns kill people.
Or do people kill people?
I can never remember.
Let's take a look at entropy.
A molecule hits a molecule
hits a molecule and
BOOM - a bomb.
Thousands dead.
More on the way.
But of course that's a bit clumsy,
seeing that entropy's remorse
only marginally taps the
frayed edges of something,
Atomic.
So what stops it?
Science might tell us
Energy.
That’s a bit broad though.

Come back to the man with the gun.
Naturally he's drunk,
and not a man,
an adolescent.
Waving the gun -
the weapon in your face.
He points it at you.
So what do you do?
What can you do?

One might pray
and hope his hand is stayed,
for in the land of entropy learned helplessness breeds
Power.
And the masses will pray and cower.
Some might fight,
or fly,
in instinctual flurry.
But these options are
few and far
too crude for more, sophisticated tastes.
So this sophistication leads us...
Ah, but sophistication sounds so posh.
Let's instead call this
Order.

And so you order,
Yell,
or speak,
rather;
yelling is so harsh.
You speak,
maybe even
whisper.

You don't want to antagonize this
kid
willing to put a hole in you
- you in a hole -
covered by the thoughtlessly certain curtain of
uneasy infinity.

So you,
oh so subdued,
whisper,
Please.

But a simple please
has never gotten
anyone anywhere
worth being,
so you follow up with
a more firm

Stop.

And in his inebriation,
the most powerful
being in your world stumbles
upon a moment
of lucidity.
His finger slips,
sending a .45 caliber
bullet - lead some might call it,
but this is grossly anachronistic -
into your frontal lobe
and out your cerebral cortex.

Enter.
Exit.

An open system.
Because in an entropic world,
Language languishes in its ephemeral rags
and is wasted away by greater things.

Gladiator

Locked in place on a high cross
Swords spoke the foreword
A quick glance at eternal peace
Combat defined his wounds

Only the pen of history
Penetrates his heavy armour
Behind his shield lies purgatory
At the height of an evil empire

Cracked dried lips to steel
Exposure to the kiss of death
Vanguard to a spiritual thirst
Glistening in the sun unsheathed

Doors open to unknown corridors
Momentarily blinded by a flood
Of light - vulnerable to carnivores
Engrossed in the scent of his blood

A costume designed to antagonize
Missiles of jeers from the masses
For the iron fist it symbolises
On their visibly anguished faces

Metal sparks fly to illuminate
The wide-eyed in the grandstand
Fireworks displayed in the court
On unchained blistered hands

A heavy heart to condemn
Stumbling in his reluctant march
Enslaved for the true price of freedom
A beheading at tip of Caesar's thumb

The first blow is on target
Sends his mind off on a tangent
Far beyond the castle walls
To a dream of a love lost and distant

Behind the lowered vice
Is a soldier wanted for treason
For gold and land promised, but
Never delivered for reasons never given

For centuries feared far and wide
The myth of a fire-breathing dragon
He relinquishes his mask – his pride
Lies dying of his wounds in the dungeon

When the battlefield still had honour
Before death became a spectator sport
For those with a twisted sense of humour
A gladiator once lived and fought

Premium Member Love Those Who Love You

Love those who love you
Appreciate those who appreciate you
A dog never bites its owner
If a dog does just that, it ought to be gently put to sleep
Gentlemen, love women who love you
Ladies, love men who care for you
If someone doesn't like you, don't get upset
It’s fine or okay for someone not to like you
This is democracy 100, everyone is free to choose
Love those who are cordial or courteous to you
Disregard or ignore those who dislike or antagonize you
Be strong, vigilant, calm and cool, don't act like fools
The dog barks at its master, it’s because of esurience or jejuneness
But when it bites its master, it’s because this animal is still untamed
This pestered creature is sent eventually to the shelter to be euthanized
A cat always respects its master or has high regard for its owner
Love those who love you
Appreciate those who appreciate you
Shatter not the heart of those who don't like or despise you
However do your very best for those who care for you
For those who are not hypocritical, ingrate or ungrateful
Old cats will in perpetuum remain old cats
They function as old egotistic crabs or irritating crotchety rats
Love those who love you
Appreciate those who appreciate you
Love is the appropriate answer
Not the mortiferous cancer.

Premium Member For the Headstrong and Wrong

You cover me with a cluster of absurd words
that stir and plunder like tornado dust
on an adamant mission of one-eyed destruction.
Even through the pile of vile gust, I must
respect your inherent right to be wrong.
You vomit a comet of obstinate lies,
criticizing all that is wise and good,
all that stood in your raging, profane way.
All the might of right won't fix your folly,
only antagonize, like a flying dart,
an unrepentant, prideful heart.
Fencing replies aside, defenses shoved away,
with a quieted spirit, in merciful song,
for the headstrong and wrong, I pray.

always questions always apprehensions
in the process of getting through this life
begins with stunning realization
there is more to this universe than I
flows through doubt and self-examination
into a struggle to simply get by

following rules truly all that there is
why not search for something much more than this
try to find meaning within existence
beyond the needs for basic subsistence
reach for some form of common human cause

Defying Destiny

every life has a mission
some will rebel
others are meant for submission
only time will tell
      mine is to extract
      rhythm from my soul
      to rebel and attract
the end result of my goal
to antagonize each spirit
into finding that groovy flow
revealing its unique merit
and its curious lovely glow
each life is set upon a road
but I chose to go astray
      because all truth be told
we each need to go our own way

I Found Me, I Love Me

Attention starved 4, self absorbed, self centered, foreign emotion unyet
explored, death in a bassinet, life in a morgue, car seat 2 a hearse, life in

Spiritual Thought

The Scriptures cannot emphasize
enough the need to scrutinize
one's life.
If one will visualize
himself as hanging over the fires of hell
by a tiny string, they will recognize
their need for God and turn to Him.
One cannot hide from God
by putting on a disguise.
He is an all-knowing God.
He is a great and mighty judge
who some dare to antagonize
when they advertise
their unremorseful sin.
People of all walks of life
try to patronize
our wonderful God,
but God is not a wimp.
When one repents and turns to God
they analyze
their lives through the Word of God.
They strive not to jeopardize
their friendship with a holy God.
The Word of God is there to sterilize
their lives from sin,
and sin in the christian life will paralyze.

An Average Schlepper

This fool doth not consider himself wise,
writing paltry poetry difficult

methinks perusers of great literature
snub nose how I miserably advertise,

baffling every expert,
how terrible fate did baptize
ala lemony snicket series

of unfortunate events
multiplied power bajillion times

obvious tell tale signs did brutalize
as if smacked upside the head

one unfortunate gladly apparently
suffered maelstroms of armageddon size
poet chars evidently

Feline Frantics

In the house on the corner lived a huge yellow cat.
This cat was clumsy and a wee bit fat.
He was constantly being pestered by a troublesome rat,
Who was playing with his mind by hiding under a hat.

The cat thought to himself, “I’ll fix this pest,
I’ll prepare for him a cozy nest.”
However when it was put to the extreme test,
The rat said to him, “Surely you jest!”

The nest was ignored all the way around,
The rat could be heard making an annoying sound.
Nowhere near this nest would he be found,
From his distance the annoyance would continually resound.

The moral of the story is quite simple, you see,
The rat was contented to antagonize with glee.
The cat, however, no happy camper was he,
He simply was as dumb as could be.

A Mother That Knows

They say “a mother knows best”.
Best for who?
Best for you?
You see, nobody knows me like I know me.
Yes, she may know me as a helpless infant,
But do you know the real me?
Favorite color? Like it matters, I wear it in my eyes.
Favorite sport? Obvious because I lack the knowledge of many.
What she fails to do is see her child.
She sees only what is physically there.
You see my emotional state may not be what you
Want but it’s still there.
Like a beating heart it’s still there.
Like my eerie shadows it’s still there.
If you really knew me,
You’d know I hate the toxic smell of okra and tomatoes
If you really knew me,
You’d know that I can see right through the closed doors.
If you really knew me,
Why antagonize my emotional state anymore?
If you really knew me,
You’d leave me be to take a knee.
If you really knew me,
Why waste time pretending what I’m not meant to be?
No, I don’t want you to stop being a mother.
I want you to be able to understand.
Not underestimate.
I learned it may not always be her fault.
For I am just her only, therefore she is still learning.
Learning what it is to be me.
How to deal with my condition.
This condition does not come with a manual.
In this life, she is helping me realize that this condition,
My illness,
It does not define me.
A mother that really knows,
Continues to show,
The love, support, and energy.
She lets me know that only God has the power to define me.

I Alphabet Not

Mystically murky memories

Antagonize anyone and anything

Despite delving deep down

Each embellishment encompasses eternal envy

You yearn, yet…

Only one option opens

Understand, undertakings undo unambiguously

Live, laugh, love, let lie

Opt out of obligation

Offer open objections ostensibly

Knowledge kindles kindness
