Having had mere minutes to skim your sighs,
anesthetize the tip of teeming thought ...
with platitudes for quandaries which fly bye,
we care for you, our frail flowers wrought.

The breeze, the muse, the bringer, the envoy
lends at days end, the tender bits of heart
as on the keys or sewing seams of joy
our fingers never rest from the day's start.

Hands in the garden smudged with chlorophyll
or wrapped about a naughty childlike pet
oft rest behind a trusty Parker’s quill
all healing touches given without regret.

Small and strong and full of life, they pour.
A woman’s hands give much to be adored.

*Women inspire me especially my mother.

Bitta Bing Bitta Bang

Aha...At Last,..Bitta Bing Bitta Bang
The Figurative Nail Hit On The Hair Strand Size Head!

Though no physician,
this aging baby boomer
absolutely, intuitively, and
unequivocally sensed hair loss (mine),
at first a speculative rumor
not simply in my (ahem) head,
no matter a minimalist groomer

nevertheless, thinning follicles,
upon dawning realization, sans medical
sought relief thru good humor,
though within this balding cerebral noggin
became repulsive as if my scalp
pulled pate rendered as a tumor.

Thus an unexpectedly present surprise
when in private consultation in the guise
as out patient client (early afternoon
December 19th, 2018),
where I did fraternize
and kibitz with the medical assistant

(old enough to be my...sister),
aye did exercise
mild mannered mien mean, aye do patronize
before doctor Rudolf (dearly
reigned) Roth, a practicing
Dermatologist told me no lies

his instant karma knowledge - mainly his
thirty seven years expertise
sought to excise
a prominent non cancerous mole approximately
centered middle of back
a small patch of skin,

he needed to anesthetize
nonetheless, a reassuring persona,
yours truly did lionize
(not merely, cuz
he received a five star rating,
specialist under auspices

of Penn, Medicine)
in Radnor Pennsylvania),
his modest calm did neutralize
any uneasiness, as did his pronounced
humility earn kudos to idolize
such rarely present gentility, and

unwitting capacity did harmonize,
and maximize significance to me,
asper my thinning limp
hair logically rationalize
identified underactive thyroid gland

(hypothyroidism) tubby,
which didst legitimize
no hair brained rooted concern,
hence...less reason to catastrophize',
which for no reason I
wanted to mildly emphasize,
hence choice to apostrophize...

Kc's Byrdnest

Keeping flippant thoughts in check
Convolutions make a schizophrenic toss
blind paranoia into the catatonic tomb
yelling whispers caught in mind cacophony
Rest the head in a drugged-out succor!
Deafen the sententious words – dead -
Nuke the firing adversary neuron!
No aesthetic can anesthetize the thinking demon
expounding beyond the bliss of ignorance
Stewards imagined become abominable ghouls!
Tangles exorbitant unravel contemplation’s nest…

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

A Wisdom Driven Life

The Book of Proverbs deals with wisdom and instructions
Its God's word on how to live a life of knowledgeable production
Its a reflection on godly actions and godly behavior
A wisdom driven book served with some spiritual flavor
So when you read this book don't take it literally
Contextualize the words and reflect on them conceptually

Wisdom is supreme and we need to heed it totally
And then apply it to life in a way most seriously
And when we use the words of God and all the truth it contains
Lead us not to our own understanding but allow the Holy Spirit to reign
To meditate and contemplate on the anointed word of God
By infusing it into our souls, our minds and our hearts

A wisdom driven life is to come to discover
That If you use godly wisdom over adversity you'll recover
Now better able to deal with life's highs and lows
Now better able to deal with people and their drama shows
Now better able to overcome addictions in all its forms
By apply godly wisdom to help you stay strong

A wisdom driven life is to trust in God's directions
By using His wisdom with skillful discretion
Now prepared when opportunity does come
Not allowing anything to make you cut and run
And it matters not your age, your gender nor your race
Now using godly wisdom to rise up in place

So don't allow anyone to perceive you as just a hustler or a taker
Use the gifts that God's given to you to be a mover and a shaker
No longer to use social media as just something to amuse
To turn it into a business so that income will infuse
To stop using drugs and alcohol to anesthetize your pain
No longer distracted as a way to deflect your hurt and shame
Now thinking outside of the box and letting wisdom rule
As wisdom is knowledge and knowledge is God's most powerful tool

Eternal Breath

With bicycles and a big shoulder sling bag
You were there, at the other side of my fence
Throwing the paper toward me with a smile
Awarded me with a wonder-stricken time lag

I remember, you were ten and I was eight
It was in 1940, our first met
So soon later we allied
And all these times, I always sure that it was truly a fate

I remember, it was on an anesthetize Sunday morning
You put a ring on my finger when I was just seventeen
We started riding our life together in a rollercoaster of emotions
For years you are my one and only paperboy prince charming

Today, on your grave that is shrouded by Autumn leaves
Knowing that our love surely went on endlessly
I smile and take another breath in the eyes of eternity
A splendor moment, for our memories, far away from griefs

Suicide

Snap chat anonymity, snap chat animosity at life’s inequality and fragility,
Hash tag helpless, hash tag hate,
Snap chat mediocrity, anesthetize against the allure of failure,
Shiver and quiver or seethe at group judgment or insanity.
Hash tag control, hash tag take charge of your fate,
Snap chat pain, snap chat nothing to gain.
No one understands the neural haywire
Caused by ceding control to another’s desire.
Is it the voice in your head or the taunts on the Internet?
Hash tag who cares, hash tag your death will register as a blip in news affairs.
Time to Instagram the moment of mental torment,
Of seeking redress after losing the game of life to loneliness.
Facebook pretense of happiness
To a virtual audience you wish to impress.
Then plan a grand exit with a gun or a plane,
So that others might finally acknowledge your pain.
In life, you were a psychological leper,
Sinking deeper and deeper into a quagmire of despair.
Are you really that rare?
In death, dragging society into your abyss,
May make us scurry by or stop and finally look at what is amiss.

Trumps Feeble, Limp, Rox... Zilch State Of Emergency

H.G. Wells..., ah...now there

with an assiduous presentation

innocent Earthlings strictly via radio,
where rapt audience could actualize
"FAKE subjects" pretended to agonize,
yea of course after receiving
substance that did anesthetize

in an effort to minimize
potential melee erupting,
which feasible outburst,
could tinder, kindle, and antagonize
crowdsourcing masses,

who suddenly became repentant,
and sought to apologize
each to their personal deity, apprise
zing respective comportment, thus
the apprenticed faux presidential Don,

rather than agonize
over farcical shenanigans, where dissension
among rank ken file seems to arise,
could take page from said playbook
visiting storied aforementioned scribe,

whose spirit author might be able to authorize
and conjure creative satisfactory
acceptable non costly deterrent breadthwise
cuz, more anger will materialize,
particularly if monies summarily brutalize

Antithesis

In May, the lion’s ear blooms immaculately,
As if the night sky is on fire.
It excretes a ravishing untarnished beauty,
A mesmerizing compelling beauty
Only the mad mystics and poets can discern.
Here, put on these rubber sandals;
The pair with the ostrich plumes,
For the walkway to my hidden tower is replete,
With thorns, bristles and stickers; the ladder there
Has splinters that anesthetize one’s toes,
Your plump white toes with the crimson polish,
Applied there like bloody footsteps on murderous floors.
There is nothing we can do to offset the numbing,
Except, pretend we never met or kissed that time,
When we decided to dare the gods of crescendoing passion.
I remember you decided unilaterally
To disrobe inside my ‘72 Land Yacht,
For fear of eternally disappointing me.
“Here, take my hat and cover yourself.”
Indeed, you are the antithesis of me.
But now, let us walk to my high garlanded tower,
A mile and a quarter from here,
Where we will sit naked on velvet carpet,
And rub thumbs in the candle light,
As Debussy music inundates our sated senses,
From speakers attached to the walls like bison heads,
Surrounded by insect-slaughtered window panes,
And glass bongs that spew atoms of electric sex.
Relax honey, it’s wonderful you’re so open-minded.
Relax, you will love the interesting insides
Of my tall and comfortable tower, where
We will observe the unfolding continuing tragedies,
Of dire human existence; it will be
Just like reading old newspapers from 1968, black print
Still greasy with unslaughtered fish, complete
With disastrous headlines no one wants to remember. But
We, you and I, will remember them, and weep a little,
When the mad dancing inevitably commences,
Here, inside and beside our grinding bodies.
Look over there, honey.
Do you see the lion’s ear blooming immaculately?
Do you hear their soft cries whimpering in the night,
Like virgin lovers squealing in the darkness?
Yes honey, we can hear their invisible sighs and moans,
From the top of my high
And comfortable tower.

The Black Widow's Metastasizing Guise: Casey Anthony Saga

You spun your spindly web of lies
In the silken strands waxed family ties
You coddled your young then muffled her cries
You buried her carcass 'neath the availing skies
Beneath your black veil lay a predatory disguise
With your guile, you craftily disarmed all of the bleary eyes
A bleeding shroud in your stolid carriage did rise
A new, more sinister plan you did devise
You desecrated the shroud and drained the feeding flies
Intrigue turned to folly as your friends, family reconnoitered with
spies
In your cleansed web lay a portentous prize
From the fowl smell of putrid flesh, a merciless kill they did
surmise
You quickly returned to your spinning mill a more flexible yarn to
reprise
You calmly intimidated that the innocent prey accidentally entered
your vize
With mercy and pardon you greeted its pitiful sighs
After you released your caring grip, it fell through narrow gap, due
to smaller size
Landing in a squalid pool of water, with its plight did sympathize
Drowning in your own cup of drained blood, could not immediately
empathize
When the hoary sun dried its bowl of tears, your twined fates did
realize
Hearts painfully severed, buried the corpse death's sting to
tranquilize
Burying your grief in the earth, your emotive grounds did
subsequently anesthetize
Oh stealthy predator time did your lethal venom into salt crystalize
Your slithery prints the corroded carcass doth no longer advertize
But from heaven's door a saintly angel yet lives your evil deed to
immortalize

An Average Schlepper

This fool doth not consider himself wise,
writing paltry poetry difficult
to read and/or actualize
methinks perusers of great literature
snub nose how I miserably advertise,

laughable attempt to aerobicise
fifty plus shades of gray matter
lobbying showy words agonize
zing effort perhaps best to cauterize
near petrified glob - boon

for scientists to analyze
baffling laboratory technicians
unusual crenulations
a profound surprise
pitiful peremptorily doth apologize

unlike verbalization feasible
after webbed whirled fist size
terra incognita reveals numbskull years
wrought yours truly to anesthetize
smelting, squelching,

and suppressing emotions
scored how tree rings annualize
environmental conditions definite
premature imp of the pervert
poe fella lifetime channels,

where bullies did antagonize
upon death requested autopsy authorize
zing eager scalpels to apprize
miniature dried river bed
formerly streams of consciousness

lake never seen before engendering
crowdsource to hypothesize
baffling every expert,
how terrible fate did baptize
ala lemony snicket series

of unfortunate events
multiplied power bajillion times
number only Google could surmise
obvious tell tale signs did brutalize
as if smacked upside the head

one unfortunate gladly apparently
suffered maelstroms of armageddon size
poet chars evidently
succeeded to burglarize
more successful than Watergate

psychological ploys hackers
noninvasively did cannibalize
(perhaps bored furloughed
government employees)
albeit noninvasively deeming

imposible to canonize
resultant cerebral corpus
understandably did capsize
entire body politik (Democrat)
faced, booked on hatred did demonize

verbal assaults indicate
suffering did caramelize
cerebrum, cerebellum and brainstem
resembling burnt offering
impossible to categorize

glommed hardened integument colleagues
hard pressed to characterize
highly rendered anomaly,
hence unfair to criticize
erratic schizoid personality disorder

quite evident amyloid plaques
did significantly crystalize
definitely explain aberrant quirks
resultant incessant emasculation
unquestionably led him to demoralize.

Hunter the knight that shines so bright
Your twinkling greens eyes were my delight
There was no task from which you would shrink
two years with cancer always on the brink

From the day your were born till day you died
You treasured each moment you were alive
A bond was formed and you saved my life
Not just once but many times

You suffered in silence an endless pain
as cancer ate your body away
Yet still rose to every call
your love enough to carry you on

With your sister by your side
with Lady Guiniverre you would ride
then walk into that beautiful place
grassy knolls where children play

Into a stream you both would slip
delighted you both would swim a bit
& smile your silly smile with half your face
& run & jump & prance & play

You would both take turns when I was home
Making sure I was never ever alone
Always excited when I came in
from wherever I had been again

I love you both my tears still gush
I hope you did not suffer much
I just could not anesthetize
I kept you alive despite the advice

I wanted you both to be in the same place
in the yard were you always would play
I made your final resting place

I know for at least the last two years
you only hung on to ease my fears
You tried so hard not to die
your heart was willing but your body denied

How lonely you must have been inside
86 days you were alone for the first time
Your sister was no longer by your side

I can't believe you held on so long
just to comfort me once she was gone
86 days is what it did take
then you joined your sister in her resting place

I will miss you forever Hunter & Gwinny. I love you both.

Parting the River

Crisscrossed
your cat's eye
and I pray
you anesthetize me
Now.

Before I speak
Up and stumble
onto this
ridiculousness.

Far fetched and
grotesque is this
self-afflicted
ignominy.

Dismissal, readiness
without a backpack.

Premium Member Emotional Shrapnel

Lurid looks have been thrown at me
Deadly daggers sent to pierce my heart
Why do some insist on acting beastly
waging war in attempts to tear me apart?
How long can I go on pretending I'm not in pain
hiding my tears by calling them emotional rain?
I need compassion but I'm afraid to ask
so, I conceal my trauma behind a face mask

There's an art that some have honed,
weapons sharpened to break my bones
Not the kind of childish chiding of 'sticks and stones,'
but those spoken with bitterness and taunting
The kind that fires torpedoes from torrid tongues
flaunting their ire and desire to wound me in a fight
with words that shatter like shrapnel in flight

A flame throwing pen, firing splotches of ink
to pierce my skin, tattooing me with their brand
Mark me as 'prey,' shooting as if in reprimand
Just enough to keep me flinching... not quite dead
They laugh it off, calling it 'friendly fire'
No excuse accepted from those who conspire

No burning steel rod can cauterize my wounds
I cannot anesthetize the festering gashes
A sharp-bladed tongue bites much too deep,
making my blood flow in repeated clashes
No mere prick or scratch do they inflict
as thorns draw drops from a finger opened bare...
foul words end relationships with a bullet's nick

I still breathe and I've no fear to speak
I've been set free, and no longer weak
My tongue holds daggers of its own
and it's been whetted on a grindstone
I hungered for strength and parched with thirst
to take vengeance as my anger grew
Emotions boiled that were long past due
but felling them would label me a wrong doer
which is something I never want to be
Vengeance will never be mine to take
realizing that is what set me free

Emotionally, I was a casualty, a tragic story
about pens and mouths becoming an allegory
Symbols used as extended metaphors
But why is it I was being targeted in wars
by Gollums and Freddies, and evil Chuckies?
Shrapnel lodged in the heart leaves jagged scars

The Mask

Do you synthesize your anger,
 do you cauterize the burn

Do you anesthetize the wonder,
when your dreams are left forlorn

Is your judgment tempered badly,
  with emotion fiery hot

Is your vision colored madly,
  by your choices—sold and bought

Does your music play reclusive,
do your words fall off the page

Does reason kill your last excuse,
—that one mask you can’t explain
