Best All Fired Poems

The Cat's Meow and Then Some

Mr. Kitty Cat come this way.
Might I beg you please to stay?

So all-fired handsome, fit and strong.
And you've been faithful all along.

Those eyes so green and silky coat.
How you sing out and emote!

Prowling through the dead of night.
Bringing me gifts at morning's light.

You're such a vision to behold.
Always passionate-never cold.

Appreciative of the things I do-
this trait of yours is something new.

I've never had a love so deep.
Hoping you are mine to keep.

But wait-I've had an awful thought.
You've set a trap and now I'm caught.

This love will never come to fruition.
For in the past I had a mission.

Had you neutered to my regret.
When you could have been my best love yet!

Pigskin laying on our 40
And snow is hitting hard
The only warmth you feel
Roar from a heated crowd
This is not what we want
3rd & long, 1 point down

20 seconds left to score
The game we won't forget
C'mon go, green and gold
Give us all another Leap
We can't bear to witness
Fans in cheese hats weep

Lambeau is alive tonight
With tailgating out back
72,000 plus all fired up
Cold ones in their hands
The other team will lose
And they'll need a snack

If Lombardi could see it
Knowing just what to say
Confidence is contagious
Impossible only seems so
67 to 68 & 96 we reigned
We win another one today

Virgo

Well you are the Virgin of Chasity
All fired up in a warm shade of Indigo
You are the unification of cosmic
Forces in the shadow of Mercury
An adaptable soul but you never
Compromise your virtues
Born of the earth and the sardonyx
You are a beautiful maiden of
Royal dainties at summer's end
Your fruit is ripe and by a harvest
Moon your table is set with
This and that and it's never
Old hat oh at summer’s end
On a fat Wednesday night
Well you are a wonderful
Humanitarian touching many
A heart and many a life yes
You are the unification of
Cosmic forces in the shadow
Of Mercury and the last few
Days of summer all fired up
In a warm, warm shade of Indigo
In the wake of September
Enter, enters VIRGO!

Living On the Edge of Excitement

Once a habitual fellow
(who eats his oats from a bowl colored yellow)
(every day)
(it’s his way)
(He thinks of himself, “very mellow”)

while reading his poetry stew
(the words of fine folks he knew)
got all fired
up. Inspired!
and ate his oats from a bowl colored blue

Premium Member 'altered Needs'

He was all fired up
he had it all figured out
this was it, the end of us
"I need my space" or so he thought

until she entered the room
dressed totally different
to what is “her norm”
a black dress
with high heels
legs that go on forever,
he almost walked into the bathroom
door
mouth hanging open

"Err did you go to work like that?" he
asked
“Yep of cause I did, I always
do,"was her reply

Uhm, it's the first time I see you
dressed like that

Nonchalantly while getting rid of her
clothes she replied,
“Well now if you more at home and
less "at work"
You’ll see me more in my work attire
then in my pajamas”

Gawking at her scanty underwear,
He saw her swing her hips as she left
the room

Confucius Joe was left behind,
feeling less desperate for space and
more a need for closeness

Laughing Devil Saddens Me On Happy a Occasion

Was having gala time with friends in Niece's marriage function
Spirited friends thought of having bhang* for fun of rarity
Greedy of mild floater effect, scary of hangover, finally gave in for fun
Toast raised with glass of 'bhang', few more and began party
Intoxicated, Laughing Monster seized me, laughed with insanity
Friends tried all to normalise laughing tantrum
But monstrous laugh only gained momentum

Panic mounted, as I was summoned by Panditji*for marriage ritual
As a maternal unclr, had to perform customary ritual with bride-groom
Stuck with intoxicated laugh, but serious was ritual, embarrassed one and all
Gained normalcy post ceremony, cursed self, all fired, pity having no room
Pledged never to indulge in bhang, took a life-time vow soon
Marriage album without my ritual snap, still condemns me
Memory of laughing devil, on happy a occasion still saddens me
..................................................................................................................................

PS (*) :
a) Bhang - Indian hemp, a milk concoction, having potential of ***** intoxication
& narcotic effect. Intoxication high results in mad indulgence of repetitive action
for many hours. The action, one is engaged in at the beginning time of knock-out
state perpetuates for many hours e.g if one was laughing... he will continue to
laugh for many hours....

b) Panditji – Priest performing marriage ritual

Premium Member On the Scrapheap

Oh in the early days you couldn’t wait to get your hands on my curves
Now I am getting older, you simply don’t want to know

The times you got my motor running
How you loved to get me all fired up
Engines firing we went the full distance

Suddenly you lost all interest in me
Cashed me in for a younger prettier model
Ruthlessly you cast me aside, left me all alone
All I need now is a bit of love and affection
Put some polish on my bumpers and I’ll be raring to go
How I miss you being part of my life
Even after all these years I still pine for you
Abandoned when I still had so much left to give
Past my prime, now I’m on the scrapheap of life

Just One Brain Cell

I sit here at my computer
All fired up with thoughts a plenty
Check the list for the contests
Mind goes blank completely empty

See the forms that are asked for
Look them up to get it right
Thinking what have I let myself in for
Mind still a blank still can’t write

Then a light goes on in one brain cell
Murmurings start to waken my brain
Just one line will do I foretell
Brain says coffee might help the strain

Then the light goes on all over
Words start to tumble from my mind
In no time the poem is ended
Submitted and entered it when refined.

The Ruba’iyat of Créteil Lake – Part Thirty-One

The Tent-Vendor’s son kept whining and wailing on the road
Such that none could even hear their own thoughts mocking aloud:
“Now what doth yon Sirrah untimely break open our contained Faith!”
Exclaimed the High Prelate, white crown-band an overwhelming load

“Sire!” called a yea-sayer, “He crieth like some thwarted fiend!
For – says he – his war service won him neither medal nor friend.”
“And what might that service be?” – thundered the Imam all fired.
“At thirteen ball-bearing catapult blew a légionnaire’s mind!”

“Allah! Forbid! Come to judgment! Free this miscreant’s soul!”
All around the sacred ground ‘Insch’allah!’ echoed the Faithful!
Eyes fixed on sky, the Imam cried: “Can such be true?” Loud silence reigned.
Up stepped the Commandant, “Yes, Your Holiness! Word, deed and all!”

“Our files attest to this forfeiture: he now works for us!
On the list of the Franquist Woman he collects détritus!”
“Our mind boggles: why wouldst thy sworn enemy now be thine?”
“Thwarted enemies make the best enemies of enemies!”

“Sire! Whilst we are on the subject, I beg Thy condescension:
Habeas corpus ad subjiciendum… Ibrahim’s son…”
“STOP! Will’st thou refrain from thine use of Canon and Sceptre!
Here on consecrated soil it’s beyond our comprehension!”

Premium Member Soul Searching

Do you know what I really love about you
golden honey flows in each step
having walked in my words
stepping over clouds
Even the darkest ones
every inch of my soul opening

From this heart deep inside out
it's pumping only for you
knowing the deepest part of me is wishing
away with the fairies
that I could kiss you
on those most gracious lips
Right now it would take ones breath away
in a silent gasp

The whispering of awe stuck jewel
living with you such a dream
actually gets this mind all fired up
deeply in thought

Has it been you my love
that I have forever
dreamed my queen
Thinking about you
passing you one of the hottest kisses
With boiling hugs bubbling inside for you

The Lady In a Nice Dress

We both met in a wrong place but in a right time.

We were collided magically to make such stupid crime.

You wear a nice dress every single day of your life,

No wonder your hubby loves you for being such a cool wife.

You easily get piss if someone messes you up,

Vicious wrath comes out when you are all fired up.

You make simple things into a greater one,

This is why many of us believe that you are an incredible one!

You’re sweetly different from the rest!

Your braveness inside is truly the best!

I’ve heard a lot of stories coming from your lips,

So much well! Thanks for your recommendable tips.

I haven’t met someone who is so much like you!

You’re a person who doesn’t give a silly single clue.

What we see to you is what we really get!

You’re my good friend that I will never forget.

Oil Field Trash

What is oil field trash is the question most people ask.
They’re a different breed of people, who take on dangerous tasks.
Very few old roughnecks still have all their fingers or their toes.
It’s not uncommon for a broken bone or banged up nose.
I started young I worked real hard.
This old worn out body is my final reward.
Money was great to say the least.
We could dine like kings at a noble feast.
You had to have lived it, worked the patch.
And hear that old driller holler, boy you better make em latch.
There was a brotherhood between the crews.
The more experienced hands reaped the better dues.
The newest hand they call the worm.
Some of their lingo, just an oil field term.
Once you become a certified member to this exclusive club.
Everybody will know you at the local pub.
Those old drilling rigs come in all sizes and shapes.
Once you get it in your blood, there is just no escape.
I don’t know if it’s an adrenaline rush that gets you all fired up.
But it got me hooked when I was just a pup.
Right now all that is left or just memories and this hidden thought.
Of a life gone by, and the lessons it taught.
I’m proud to have been one of the oil fields many elite.
And I think being oil field trash is just pretty unique.
From the ground to the crown, from the rake to the brake.
Getting old is possibly my worst mistake.

Premium Member Red Sun Rising

Mr. Sun awaken by Dawn
was all fired-red with a big yawn
Miss Moon waning away
from her pink fullness
wants to stay

they fought
stretched, and yawned
until Mr. Sun won

Thus, Easter morn
has finally begun

if you happen to be wondering
What the moral of this poem is
nature follows
patterns
from the beginning of time
until Jesus (God) sets
change into action

Premium Member G'Day Australia

Good morning Australia!
How are you...? Gday!!!
It's our favourite day of the year
And a national public holiday!

The weather is fantastic
And the days fully packed
Lots of great things to do
And the eskies fully stacked

Important things to remember..
The old slip, slop and slap.
Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen..
And slap on a hat!

The barbeques are all fired up..
The crowds are building up fast.
The footy is being kicked around..
And the kids are having a blast!

Turn your radios up real loud..
Sing along in your best voice.
It's the Australian National Anthem..
Come on now.... Let's rejoice!

The night sky is starting to darken..
And the momentum starting to build.
For the best sky-show fireworks..
Everyone watching will be thrilled!

So when the night is over..
Be trueblue and do the right thing.
Please keep Australia beautiful..
And put your rubbish in the bin!

The Shapely Type

I know how it feels to be crucially tormented,

Experiences in hell were ferociously augmented.

Sizes and shapes are tops of their gossips,

Darkest words people utter are so like but eclipse.

They secretly laugh and talk about your weight,

Don’t be so anxious because this is not your fate.

Whenever they mock you for being such a penguin,

Be as proud as I am because you are going to grin.

The real issue of life is not about your bulkiness,

Confidence inside is the boost of your gladness.

Speak it now even though you are really hurt,

Don’t let those stupid let you go now in to blurt.

Just stay what you are and keep everything calm,

You’re a priceless cutie tot who can’t be so numb.

Let those fatty words of your friends all fired up,

Prove to all those bullies that they are all tapped out.
