"War and Peace in the Days of Love’s Retribution"
All is fair
in Love and War
they say
Lost are the
gambling angels
who walk tight ropes
from the point
where time departed
the jewel stolen from her crown
sacrificed for
something better
a child’s happiness
another fallen
goddess
tripping between
the cracks
pinned to a wall
in a sunless place
where light tries
but fails dismally to get in
suspended heart’s arrow
caught forever bleeding
in betrayal’s
sticky web
Failure’s warrior
wanting a sword for
cutting tongues
War and Peace
lost and found
unconditional
In the time
of unjust justice
follows freedom
wearing a new light
darkly burning in
the time of Love’s retribution

"“Once I was brave
enough
to leave home,
I discovered
splendid parts of me
I had no clue existed.
I, then,
realized
where they came from
and hurried home.”
his distant still palette
of ambient light
painted the silence
of hawks in the night
catching a sadness
that hides in plain sight
in an air of detachment
that hints at their plight.
a bus stop
with a shelter
remote and
standing tall
surrounded by
bleak countryside
where no one
lives at all.
does anyone
get off here?
just who
the heck gets on?
where does the bus
that stops here go
and where does it
come from?
The one who feels hate in his heart, himself from God alienates!

I am a stranger in an alien land,
Always searching for eternal youth,
Controlled by an aristocracy with
Little time for honesty and truth.
The food banks are booming
Hardly a state of joy and glory
As the world prepares to celebrate
That age old Nativity Story.
A season of conspicuous Consumption,
A time of reflection and celebration
Or a time of struggles to survive for
A growing proportion of our nation.
Being black, unemployed or sick
Nowadays the modern day sin
As the homeless sleep rough and
Scavenge from the waste food bin.
The privileged will celebrate
The Holy Virgin Birth
And turn a blind eye to
The fast warming earth
The sick will die untreated in
The growing A and E queue
Only the thickness of a payslip
Stops that being me or you.
All over this rich nation
The comfortable will give thanks
And turn a seasonal blind eye
To queues at the food banks.
The Sovereign from the palace
Will give the annual address
Closely watched and monitored
By the billionaire owned free press.
The Sally Army Christmas, kitchen
Will feed some of the masses
And so another year of repression,
With false bonhomie, slowly passes.
I become more and more an alien
In this my own native born land
My world has changed completely
To one I can no longer understand.
Yet again the door is being knocked
For ages it’s been closed
Who is there?
The Sun looks down
Breeze Halts!
Tulips raise their heads
But the Cascade___still singing like an indifferent Bee
Knock___ knock___ Knock!
How persistent the knocking is!!
But who is there?
Its light from the peepholes
Enlightens the valley
Fills the Tulips with Joy
Old Cider tree opens its eyes
Sheds away with one jerk of its head
All the dead leaves
Pale, sick and dried
Concealing for a while
Image of the orange sitting sun in the cascade!
At once, Gigantic Mountain roars in panic,
The sun closes its eyes,
Breeze hides away in a dark cave,
Tulips are now harming themselves in despair,
For the light is fading
I can hear sound of the feet going away
There is but No more knocking…
It’s dark now!
Tiny little moon is waiting for the stars to shine
The valley is silent
But the cascade and distant wolves
And somewhere far behind the Forbidden Forest
The door is still closed…
"Alienation"
Burning through the atmosphere
a diamond hugs herculean, demanding, meteoric,
fast like a sharp spear aimed at Zion in the
obsidian night sky deep, so vast, dotted here
and there with other anaemic diamantés
twinkling, then dimming, as if in despair,
they don’t shine as bright
nor so fair,
this immolator is without peer
Lion of Judah, presence felt near.
A shooting star into the stratosphere?
Leaving a blistering debris trail in its wake.
A Sonic Boom breaks through the veil
sends out sound waves, touching, feeling,
slightly off-rail
sends out a Revelation heralding
resounding eardrum shattering tear -
KA-BOOM!
just like some glamour chick’s walked into the room
in 6 inch killer stilettos,
curve hugging deep velvet
the sub-level indigo blues,
shaking everything in the place
slams the door, her audience now captive
is frozen in place, tittering amongst themselves,
“Here’s something new”;
the world awakes to
crushed violets, heliotropes, shell pinks, eggshell pale blues;
she rises above him
he lifts his face.
Arrival in this
AlienNation
no Ocean, a barren place
Holding pattern and station.
Her vessel lands with a thud,
breaks the bedrock, dirt
she steps through the portal
away from it all, she’s escaping
this asylum,
it’s not evolving, it’s not birth
a re-entry of sorts,
a vacuum sucking back down to
Deadly Earth.

Looking at flowers, then leaves, I began to wonder about the roots and seeds. Yes, I thought, that's what I learned in Biology, Botany, Biodiversity ... But a brilliant, brainy, breath-takingly beautiful budgerigar whispered to me:
"You are "thought" [taught to think in boxes, as PT says] to objectify Nature from birth, almost. For us critters, the entire plant or tree is one of us, a community where we help, house, and hallow each other. It is all ONE life form, don''t you see. What are leaves but flowers yet to be? What are flowers but leaves modified for reproduction? Are your reproductive organs separate in type and origin than the rest of your body? Don't humans start life as one-and-two cells? Don't you see the seed - small and insignificant, perhaps - carries generations of trees, fruit, food, and shelter in it?"
After blissful years together marital conflicts begun,
normal for any marriage but for our daughter no fun.
Our capricious decision, separation was the call,
to alienate my daughter from me, not the deal at all.
Why do you chastise me like a malignant growth,
your own minds inner conflict, you forget our oath.
Pretentious plans of caring for her, your scapegoat,
Your sad behavior and control, about this you gloat.
I will continue to dissipate all this in vain,
to gravitate away from this inflicted pain.
Do you realize how much damage?
you impose on our daughter with your rage.
She pretends not to acknowledge me, to flatter you,
your mothers past on you inflicted is the clue.
Your inurbane manner affects our daughter’s future state,
those many heart breaking days restricted by a physical gate.
Please read the many professionals perspicuous reports about our story,
She needs her daddy, although alienated this is all transitory………........
My daughter loves and needs me, and will get me, the END.

Night-Where alienation never sleeps:
Dreams glazed by frost ,
Bird recite the memories,
Bare poplar trees,
Extended sadness unutterable..!
,
Where alienation never sleeps:
My heart - whenever the absence hurts
I hide him in coated closet..
And locked the door..!
By alienating from nature, Man, with the passing of time, the beast in him allowed to grow!

An alienation of Revelations
The rudimentary elements, all collapsed broke free
The whole ordeal made no sense at all
Eclipses and darkened wars of solitude made the eve
It was difficult to comprehend and to accept.
The deluge of torrid ramblings filled my deranged and already on edge mind
I got flung into the arms of the prevalent, push and pull, struggle
I plummeted, head first into a deathly vortex of inhibition and
Lack of strength
The fears that once pursued me, appeared right in front of my eyes
Their ice cold stares, annihilated all resistance left in me
I let go. I had had enough of the charade
My brave soul searched for some light but there was none to be found
All the avenues were blocked off, no access or solace present.
I was an empty vessel of strength, all of me was worthless. Nothing to move this heavy load I was carrying around with me,
Gripping the saddles and reins of this dark horse I was riding on,
All the thudding and clopping could not compete with the cacophonous beating heart.
Nothing could silence the devils taunts, nor the resonating screech of my torn soul
In search of some help and comfort, I crutched across the landscape, looking for some shade
But the shades were to dark a reality to part with, memories ran too deep; the memories ran to deep
Alienation of a different order, I got locked out of my already fragile mind.
As the clock struck one, I found myself at the bridge of defeat.
My precious heart a victim to the arson, the smoldering remnants of a dying past
A single breathe escapes my lips and like some weird musical
My croaking soulless heart gave one last shriek then died
Like chaff in the, ever changing, wind my conscience drifted away.
As the smoke cleared and everything came into focus
I find my hand gripping a still burning matchstick
As the sun started to rise, the fire extinguished
A simple question awakens within the depth of my senses
What have I done?
I’m lodged in this train on a top spot
yet alone...while others trace a blue noon amiably,
As dewed mist holds me immovable
From my row ... the toot of a loud whistle
makes me want to peep out restlessly.
This journey is intermittent through my solos of night,
where most wayfarers gig on-- animated, pleasant--
and they know where they're headed to, come eve,
this clear level of certainty... a destination so sure
relishing coffee, time's sagas with much fervor:
Here I am, listening to their seemingly deified hums
as the tenet of my life idly churns like rusted wheels,
that a hazy eye gazes at an aching moon
its glint wondering about my self- imposed deed of alienation.

The invading alien came near.
A harbinger of ill will I thought,
paralyzed with overwhelming fear
that it was our abduction he sought.
I called on all the spirits I knew,
vampires, mages, goblins, and a ghost;
a town hall meeting with the whole crew,
I gloomily guessed we were all toast.
There will be no blood feasting tonight,
no trickery, nor ghastly grim acts.
We must expel this hideous sight
before our consciousness he extracts.
Our stance is extra cautionary–
defy his diabolical plan.
Be strong and judiciously wary,
and vote ‘Yea’ for an Alien Ban.
The alien arose and stood tall.
“Hey dudes, chill. I'm not evil, nor mean.
I came here only to wish you all
a neighborly Happy Halloween!”
alienation of this world
penetrates
eviscerates
denegrates
until
there is nothing left
alienation
so palpable
often unspoken.
