Adorn the Night

My love, I call you opaline;
you dazzle like a jewel,
extending passion’s brilliant hues,
when chill of night seems cruel.

My iridescent evening star,
adorning canvas sky,
I know your fiery radiance
and ache to feel you nigh.

Premium Member Adorn Yourself, Live Vicariously As You

Adorn yourself with vicarious, honest, enjoyable living.
Be someone else if you must, but not every day, and not all the time.
For your soul is waiting to treat yourself, delight yourself.
Enjoy a silken impetus, and a truly joyful exult.
Be whoever you want to be, and it does not necessarily have to always be you.

Safeguard yourself from your enemy’s jealous mockery.
Do not give credence to the angry looks or irritated smirks.
Save yourself by not caring, in any kind of way.
Lean rather toward your well-earned esteem, daily fulfilment and
The possibility of earning wealth and opulence through your own best efforts, and joys.

An unavoidable chasm with the naysayers might be exactly what your
Waiting expectant soul needs to never look back and enjoy every solid ounce of
The rest of your life.
Save yourself.
Be you, but in your
Own way.
Live big!

 To Adorn, adore Him Abba Father.
                                Be His replication.
 Be who we are meant to be in Him.
        In Him is the fullness of Himself.
           He’s purpose us for His Glory.
                     We’re His light to shine.

So shine Beloved shine
To be like Him for we are, Amen

Adorn

I planted this garden to enjoy.
Photosynthesis comes from the sun.
The white orchids set to the east.
The daffodils are astray.
The roses are a spread on a rack.
The tulips and morning glory are in a flowerbed.
I am relishing nature this year.

I planted these gardens to enjoy.
I sit in my cupola thinking about, therapeutically writing poetry, and reading aloud.
Behind this belvedere are a plot of mustard greens, tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers.
The radiant energy celestially augments the vegetation.
The foliage is an architectural beautification.

These gardens were planted to enjoy.
No qualms I have, thus far.
I am truly adorned.

Memories Adorn My Heart

"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"
                                              John Ruskin, 1853

A collage of memories adorn the walls of my heart.
Some appear and bring a smile, the worthwhile ones
that shine like faceted diamonds in the midnight sky.
Indelible are my visions of births, marriage and days
when life offered more rewards than I felt I deserved.

But there are also deaths; those jagged shards,
that cut me like sharpened spears of broken glass.
They're bitter weapons that cause me pain
with each remembered slash that opened a new wound.
Oh, such strife, anguish, and tidal waves
of regrets that leave me shipwrecked and alone.

There are snippets and scraps of our wedding day,
shrouded and shadowed now...
Those pictures are finger worn, edges bent
from turning them often, when I feel forlorn
and miss your arms around me
.
Love comes without safeguards and guarantees
so please, dear heart,
don't bring those echoes of the past to mind.
I've come to grips with my brokenness
until moonlight reminds me of what used to be.
In that moment I'm wistful and somber
stumbling in the darkness...
trying to climb from the gloom of a deep abyss.

Adorn

The bright arrogate colors
Surround me in mass
Closing my eyes is futile
Their obnoxious laughs
Mock me?
It's the red one
That taunts me relentlessly
With a disturbing madness
Which barks after me?
The others whimsically dance
A sadistic destruction
They paint war upon them
A trademark
That no two carry
People fawn over them
Placing them everywhere
No matter my hiding
I'll never be free

Adorn Her Neck With Pearls

Stars tumble,
Stars fall,
They sparkle
Like gems
Surely,
God watches
Over them
Stars,
You are
My string
Of pearls
That adorn
Her neck,
The Goddess
Athena

Premium Member Rose Petals Adorn Her

On our bed she lies naked
Astride black satin sheets
Her body stood to attention
As our skins start to greet

I work my way up
From her feet to her thighs
Peeling rose petals
As i look in her eyes

She sighs as they fall
As my kisses caress
Adventurous hands
In wandering impress

Her hips i grip
As i sense her perfume
My love and i
In our marital bedroom

More petals descend
And grace her breasts
As we kiss with passion
And join with zest

Our love ignites
In joyous mix
As our eyes meet
In love, transfixed

We cuddle spooned
As she lies into me
Rose petals adorn
Her heavenly body

Premium Member Lucilla Carrilo

I chose poet Lucilla Carrilo and her poem "The Garden Of JESUS."
A mother's love cannot be matched.

"The Garden Of JESUS"

The Garden Of JESUS
Jesus has a garden, a beautiful site to see.
One that is breath taking, for anyone that
goes there will sure agree with me. In His
garden He has only the best flowers that
anyone could ever see.
He came to Earth one day. A special flower
He was looking for.
He went to many places
looking for that special one, Than He saw my
mother and said - she is the one that I'm
waiting for.
He closed her eyes and told her, I am taking
you home, so my garden you can adorn. As we
saw her leave with Him - we couldn't help but
cry, but we also felt some joy as we saw her
by His side.
Mother we will miss you, but we know where you
are at. You are at a very special place - where they
only take the best. The Angels are very happy, they
are going to celebrate, they heard that you were coming
and a banquet they prepared, for you my dear mother,
because you are now one of the best....

Premium Member Adorn

Tender leaves adorn all the trees
As the golden sun touches
It rises higher exposing white
Wispy clouds, not rushing

Misty fog has settled in hollows
Kissing the tender grass
Wraps the tassels left upon oaks
and pecans, soon it will pass

Holly's tender new growth shines
Reaching for the sun's rays
While it only silhouettes the pines
Soon 'twill rise and stay

Premium Member Letter To My Children

Think not that you were not born so rich;
Your knowledge, you better try to enrich.
Think not that your complexion is not fair;
To compare it with others’ is rather unfair.
Mind not the place where you were born;
It is the one that you are bound to adorn.
Think not the job that you do is very small;
With smart workmanship, you make it tall.
Envy not the possessions of your neighbour;
Instead, acquire them with your hard labour.
Learn to live your life well within your means;
Try something new, ignoring the routines.
Do not allow your tongue to slip even a bit;
Safeguard your reputation using your wit.
Boast not about your skills before others;
The progress so far you made, it smothers.
Love not anyone, not testing the credentials;
Your future life is based on these essentials.
Be careful about your fair-weather friends;
Mind, to exploit you, everyone pretends.
If you do not want to forego your pleasures,
Against global warming you take measures.
Back not anyone who does encourage a war;
It takes centuries for the normalcy to restore.
Play your part well in controlling epidemics
By following the instructions of all academics.
Develop the attitude of sincere gratitude,
You are sure to be blessed with Beatitude.

Premium Member I Love To Adorn the Sunshine-

I LOVE TO ADORN THE SUNSHINE-

Good morning, sunshine;
When you rise I rise;
Oh! I see the glowing moonshine
In, inside your eyes;

O, and May I kiss you sunrise;
May I embrace your amber shade?
May I caress you darling?
Your orange/yellow haze…

I love to adorn you;
Coming with my eyes;
Your image beautiful;
You are my sunrise;

And you shine, shine, shine before me;
And as you rise, rise, rise you implore me (restore me)

I just wanna look at you (look at you O sunshine/sunrise

I love to adorn you;
Coming with my eyes;
Your image beautiful;
You are my sunrise;
