Just loved this I just couldn't get over not being able to decide which was the subject? the trees or the nest? [bright leaves fall-the swallows’ empty nests above our door] would have done it for me. Congrad's on your win..please try the new contest for verses which can be done in 2 lines ;) Light & Love

Gone to Capastrano,eh? I don't know how to spell the place, sorry. Do you remember the song? It's an old one, like 1930s. What a pitiful sight, those empty nests. Love, daver

I enjoyed this, hon. NOW I think I see what you're talking about. When you click the GO BACK button it sends you out of the comments box (at least this happened to me) YES that does SUCK. I've been so busy that I was replying to one comment at a time. Now that I've tried to comment to several. WHOA. Hope they fix that! Hugs to you sweetie

Hi, Andrea my dear friend. Stopping by again here, reading this poem once again. I am a pet lover (except snake, lol). Small birds usually build their nests at the back of my aircondition in my terrace and they mess up the place which sometimes annoys me. But, seeing them building their nest patiently, got an idea to place a plastic cover underneath their nest to collect the litters. So, they continued building a family there, lol. Good luck again for a big win!!! love/hugs:) Leonora

Reminds me of an Andy Griffith show where Opie nursed a little bird back to health after he hurt it and then let it go. Opie looked at the empty cage with sadness. But Andy said, But don't the trees sound full. Sooo, your little barn swallows are somewhere flying in God's grace. :)

Great Monoku..I have had those House Finches (that look like Purple Finches but are larger) to build on my porch and in the porch lights..Good luck in Deb's contest..Reads like a winner to me..Thanks for stopping by..I got all the new things figured out..I was not well when I was trying to figure it all out..I did not realize how ill I was...I guess it must have been sinusitis and the antibiotics are clearing it up..Sara
