Bastille
Many years ago
They stormed the Bastille
Two hundred and one lost their lives
The tennis court oath however survived
Jacques had his heart with the masses
Necker could not be dismissed so easily
The storming of the Bastille was to be
The birth of a nation for all men free
And free men they were
Running naked through the streets
What they lacked in cake
The made up with in red wine
The Republique was born
A democracy in infancy
Would grow through trials and tribulations
To become a multicultural great nation
Lone angry men filled with such hate
I welcome you to Bastilles’ gate
Of medieval prisons long ago
It is there, you I shall throw
You kill in the name of a God
A God you do not know
Love has escaped from your very soul
Only hate tarnishes your bitter heart
The ghosts of Bastille are mocking
The coward who is filled with such animosity
There never shall be an escape
The soul of the dead shall eternally taunt you
A criminal with no compassion
You have only given us our determination
To battle for the peace of this great nation
You bring us tears; alas we shall turn them to wine
Naked through the streets we shall always dance!
fearless daffodils
awake to a brand new day
thrush hastens with nest

The distance between us is like a pencil line drawn on a page
like steam in air
like the drop of water that captures in its soul
the light
It is like water in the wash cloth
but also like that one ice cream drip that gets away and falls
Sometimes it is like the cool breeze that flutters the shears in the middle of the night
elusive ...beloved...treasured
like a kiss from the universe itself
it is like the suspended moment...the feeling of our foreheads touching
just before we give in ...to the kiss
You held my hand...listened to my every word
waited years to dance with me...to read to me...to tell me of your injuries
in the rear view mirror we are always surrounded by tiny glittering lights
fairy dust or is it mysticism twilight
our voices are strung up
like streamers across any room we have ever been in together
our foot steps glow and pulse wherever we have passed
the air respectfully swirls around our ghosts
but the distance you ask?
It is 70.1 miles from me to you...a graphite pencil line on a mapquest
but if you reach out you can grasp my hair in your hand and hold my head to yours
through the worm hole in the head of a pen
The elections are rolling around,
And it's obvious to see,
The more one tares another down,
Lays claim to Victory!
Each is right and only them,
Can save us from our debts.
Enhance our life, correct all wrongs,
And throw away regrets!
So get in line to cast your Vote,
And do it with great pride.
You're sure to pick a good one,
Cause none of them have lied!
It's Father's Day again,
but you aren't here.
There's no card to be bought;
no phone call to be made;
no visit possible.
I miss you, Dad.
It's been three years since I've heard
your voice speak my name;
three years since I've seen your smile;
three years since I've hugged you tight
and felt your kiss upon my brow.
I miss you, Dad.
All I have are my memories of you:
memories of your laughter,
and your droll sense of humor;
memories of special times spent together;
memories of the man I loved
and knew as "Dad".
But you can't hug a memory.
I miss you, Dad.
Happy Father's Day.

How Times Have Changed~
We ran so innocently in lush, soft, beautiful grass!
Dreamt of wonderful futures on the finest, fresh smelling sheets.
Mother treated each child as her very own angel creation.
When apart, we pigtailed beauties, actually called each other on real phones!
Sadly, the deliciuis times of being together, are no longer here,
And no, sorry! Facebook and a child stuck in front of any screen.
Can never bring back the joy, the togetherness, the very vibrancy
Of loving and close human conviviality.
Love has transformed, so that, it's like looking for it in a rear view mirror.
We lost our love for one another, in tragic totality!
A God, a church for some, just is far too demanding,
Besides, we might have to leave our house, or worse be standing.
We killed God and became ravenous, selfish beasts.
We cannot connect humanly anymore, as once we fearlessly did.
That feigned pretense of "caring" is absolutely the worst.
It is nothing more than electronic symbols on a device!
Our once sparkling, spiritual souls, that belonged to God.
Totally stone cold, like the dead, under the sod..
666 and his minions launching their final work.
Theit goal? To see that God is never once mentioned.
We really think we are bigger than God? Yes, we consider Him a clod!
We never attribute any success we have to Him
Drunk on our own wonderfulness, indeed hollowness,
In a world that we never created.
Detachment, no-speaking is the word of the day,
We never consider or think that another human,
Might need a hug, a visit, from another soul.
In fact, we rob them of hearing our voices at all.
So busy are we, destined on a train to hell.
Deaf, are we, totally to our own death's knell.
On fine new couches we sit, huge TV's captivate us,
Our stomachs, full and bulbous, but it doesn't bother us.
So off to get manicures, haircuts and more.
We are horribly prideful and vain, strutting like arrogant roosters.
We can't stop playing vainglorious games.
Never for God, oh, no~just for our personal, insignificant fame!

This election wasn't about the real issues
It was about black or white, the shade of our skins...seriously...in 2016
Why is racism living in this era? I thought we were beyond that.
I hope this is not a reality show playing out in my reality ...because our destiny is too great to be playing the hate game, not in this century.
When our President Elect says he's making America great again did he really mean making America white again? Is there no place for my skin shade in this great place ...I am deeply disappointed if that is what he meant. That kind of thinking can't grow this country, That's backward thinking.
When did hate becomes more important than respecting all of God's creation ...We must all see a man for his ability to think and not the shade of his skin
Our fore-parents fought this war already we are beyond this ...the slave trade is over, the dark ages have ended. How did we get back to this, hate has no place in this great nation.
Hate is a weak emotion and a sign of failure...a failed man lives in bitterness without any hope of evolving ... we must all love each other, hate is a great burden to bear in this greatness we build for the next generation
He has no laser vision, and he lacks the gift of flight.
He has no rocket car to drive; his clothes aren’t even tight.
He's a stranger to Metropolis and Gotham’s out of reach
So he spends a lot of time just South of Erie’s beach.
He fell from space and landed hard, in Cleveland, USA.
It’s not somewhere he’d choose to be, if he could have his way.
He thinks Ohio's pretty drab, and something’s gotta change
perhaps he’ll run for president; come now…it’s not THAT strange.
He can start in NYC, a sleepy little town…
to test the slogan that he’ll use: America, Get Down.
He’ll fix his tie, and light a smoke; he'll practice his quack-fu.
The platform that he's running on is always-tell-it-true.
Trump vs. Clinton’s getting old, those two both really suck.
So next year when you’re at the polls, vote: Howard the Duck!

May 2016 be the year when all your dreams come true
No one knows what the year 2016 will bring for us
The earth and its climate problems ~ a concern
Have we planted the seeds of our own extinction
It is choices in our lives that affect our future
A hope that the new year bring peace among people
Life is a time for new beginnings and endings
Undone and unsaid we get another chance
Sharing and caring I've learned the full meaning
When life is getting you down there's a brighter tomorrow
I'll make you a rainbow and let the sun shine through
Fill your heart with happiness, inspiration and joy
For you and your family ~ I wish you a wonderful new year
