Notes About The Poem

...a borderline Senryu laced with metaphor disguised as a Haiku

Haiku 11-14-2016

Haiku 11/14/2016

Come closer my love
touch softly with stolen light
a Winter’s darkness

I really enjoyed this. The emotions expressed felt soft and comforting. A beautifully written piece.

this is so so so so so beautiful John it gave me a tingle down my spine when I read it - a gem of a haiku/Senryu ... I wish they had a '3 line poetry' form which is suitable for poems that don't quite fit in the box. Into faves I LOVE it:-) hugs Jan xx

Glad you got a shiver Jan. Perhaps a very creative Poetrysoup poet might "invent" such a form..let me see...hmmm a poetic "Troika"..three lines...galloping....
