Banknote Poems | Examples

The concept of money

Money is a man-made commodity, which helps humans extend their validity

Money can be in any virtual form, with banknote and coin you can pass the storm

It’s name derives from “JUNO MONETA”, a Roman name of an ancient loleta

While silver and gold people adore, barter was the method used before

Money is the common way to survive, it allows mankind to live and thrive

Is money a want, or is it a need, for those in power it’s purely greed

You can use it for charity, or spend it on yourself, or simply pay your taxes to the wicked elf

Financial security is all that folks see, without your money where would you be

Pockets

In my jacket pocket
I once found a banknote
Completely forgotten

In my trouser pocket
I once found a banknote
Washed to extinction

I said I didn’t need it
The banknote discretely placed
In my packpocket

Walking down main street
I once found a banknote
Blowing softly in the wind

I remember my first payday
Banknotes and coins in a paper bag
Placed into my jacket pocket

Today I found a face mask
Same colour as a serious banknote
In my jacket pocket

The Worry In My Sorrow

Never again would I feel sorry
To tell my story, to spell my worry
Heightened, brightened up by glamour
Felt deep within the heel of my clamour.

Never again would I open my heart
To depart from love, to make a new start
Although I’d pluck up courage to lay siege
To prospects of a binge or the liege of privilege.

Never again would I dare to speak
In tongues or my tongue to click or flick
If a damsel my head in awe should turn
Although in end my heart she would burn.

Never again would the lure of honey
Blind me to trade my soul for money
When banknote rolls in my face shine
Although my soul sorrow would refine.

Possesion's

Possession,s

Even in sanctity of brilliance past and forlorn
the dead scholars would grieve the notes they adorn
why lesser a note is given to me
for measured by wealth everyone has to be
you need it ! I want it ! give it to me ! give it to me!

A man stands in a barron field
no crop for him, no yield
he cries and morns for his children rely
on the little said man and field cannot supply
you need it ! I want it ! give it to me ! give it to me!

Another man sits and claims poverty
*** in hand, heated house yet no 50 inch TV
running water, and food a plenty, so what’s the moan
his children the latest clothes and phone do not own
you need it ! I want it ! give it to me ! give it to me!

Why does the banknote hold so much power
when beauty and food is found within a flower
why can one man crave sustenance for his need
yet another man crave sustenance for his greed
you need it ! I want it ! give it to me ! give it to me!

The wealth of this world is so unjust
yet in the wealthiest areas, the trap must put its trust
real benevolence exists in poverty
where humanity shares its limited property
you need it ! I want it ! give it to me ! give it to me!

Premium Member Greed

Clutching the purse to her chest and the counting

She grabbed at the invisible hands and doubting

If it hadn't been one thing it would have been another

The greed put out the fire with smother

Greed, the great pacifier

Holding each coin close

Counting and counting over and over

The hiding place ever changing

A dog can never have enough bones to bury

The alcoholic and one glass of sherry

Snatching at fingers and to the comfort of the vault

A ski mask helps one not to be caught

One pacifier deserves another

Turning from the bank with her greed

Draws her purse to her chest

Maybe the freezer wrapped in foil

Holding each emotion and counting

Not a drop of water and the broken founting

Such a miser she won't pitch a penny for luck

Met her doctor at KMart for a nip and tuck

The Baby Queen strikes her rattle

As the basket is passed she puts in nothing

Always wanting to know where the next one comes

And the texture of each bill

Even Barbie held with the covet

Getting summons and the snub it

Ken wears only Gucci suits for his pleasure

Barbie holds each banknote with measure
