Backward

someone I read him for years
who think he is doing great
in spirituality world
seems to me very seeming
that he is going backward

The poet lives life in reverse, like a bird flying backward

The poet lives life in reverse, like a bird flying backward,
While young, he meditates on death as a distant, somber horizon,
He travels through the dark forests of thoughts,
Where trees are sculpted from shadows and leaves dried by time,
And the wind whispers secret melodies about forgotten endings and beginnings.
But as the years flow like a lazy

Backward is forward

Wake
The ever present enemy
Overbearing and oppressively 
Shadowing expectantly 
As forethought always secondly 
Two minds hang suspended be
Interrupting thoughtlessly 
Relentless and attentively 
Aressting so effectively 
Contented is left restlessly 
Thrashed into docility
Numbing the auxiliary 
Concerning such complacency 
Overwhelming this tranquillity
Resolute in the obscurity
Abstracting absurdity
With Orchestrated entropy
Worn out by pacificity
Sleep

Love one inch wide
Live fast in life.

The tranquility that so often i readily enjoy,
is invariably the precursor for a coming storm.
Spewing words at me to browbeat and destroy,
is seldom the impetus that forces me to conform.

Over the years some have tried to make me do,
and more than a few have made me wish I’d done.
On occasion I’ve bitten off

The ball 
bounces 
backward
you chase it
you catch it
but you 
cannot
change it
backward 
is still 
moving
forward 
like 
your life
moving
forward 
through
time.

As Backward As Woman Can Be

Miss Morris was as backwards as a woman can be backwards.

She was so backwards, I was surprised she could walk forwards.

Her ways made the ways of the cave people look high-tech.

She had no knowledge of computers, smart phones, dumb phones, or TVs.

She read books the old fashioned way in a library where books still have

Pushing through backward thinking's grasp,
Unraveling minds, unearthing the past,
Breaking chains that bind, refusing to conform,
With courage as our guide, can humanity weather these storm's?

Innovation blooms when we challenge the norm,
Embracing new ideas, our spirits transform,
Shattering barriers, forging a path so bold,
In the dance of progress, we're a tale untold.

This chilly morning in Hartford 
Ensconced in the ambiance of
Freedom in God’s own country 

I woke up with a start
Lost  in the labyrinth of emotions 

Wondering what the future 
Held for my beloved country 

Currently languishing and content 
In her age long delusion of grandeur
 
When all I see in my dream Is a

My mind is infrequent
Not eloquent... I guess.
Your mind is a bottle
Amused at the thrill of what?
Smoke clouds unused..
Problems askewed.
Deep wrenching can't stand me's 
And nothing to lose.
It's fire?
It's yours?
I try to unbox?
I'm amused 
In a sense of collapse. 
You're standing with a new shot. It's a bone...
Severed.
Unusually brittle.
A stone skipped on water.
Exciting, but belittled

Sometimes You Must Move Backward

Sometimes you must move backward
Sometimes you can move forward in the wrong direction
Sometimes you have to go back to the basics and 
Sometimes when you forgive
You live and 
Sometimes when you let go
You grow and show the power of simplicity

Back to the basics
In life, you must be realistic 
Life comprises negative and positive
If you are

Irony 101

One can live half ones life in America
The old citizen survives, survival need
I complete three years in South Africa
Know I am alone, no police, in my need

Many millions manage such lives
Adjust to the biggest kids on the block
No first reaction to get justice, knives
Or one's rights (democracy mere dialog)

To Move Forward, Go Backward

There I stood...bundled up in layers of clothing...
to begin my journey.
As I began to walk down my path...I took off my overcoat...
     as I discovered the sun kept me warm enough.
As I continued down my path...I discovered I no longer needed my hat...
     as the breeze felt
